The cast of Only Murders in the Building has become more and more star-studded over the years, and as it approaches its fourth season, the starpower has gone through the roof. The third season recruited Meryl Streep, who remains on board for Season 4, Paul Rudd, Jesse Williams, Ashley Park and more. The murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), who played Charles-Haden Savage’s stunt double on Brazzos at the end of Season 3 provided the cliffhanger to transition into a fourth installment.
Molly Shannon, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis and Kumail Nanjiani were already confirmed as new cast members for the fourth season of the cozy murder mystery, but that wasn’t the end of new additions. The first teaser trailer, released at Disney’s upfront, revealed Melissa McCarthy’s casting as well. The “starriest season yet” will premiere on Hulu Aug. 27. As one mystery is solved in “Only Murders in the Building,” another begins.
The Season 4 finale saw Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) take down Marshall Pope/Rex Bailey (Jin Ha) for the murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), who committed the crime in under 12 minutes by himself. But in normal fashion for the Hulu comedy, there’s still a few loose ends — the biggest one being a new murder to solve in the already-ordered Season 5: the death of Arconia doorman Lester (Teddy Coluca).
In addition to Lester’s death, it’s also a mystery who’s been watching the trio since Season 1. Charles and Mabel also received an interesting offer from Sofia Caccimelio (Tea Leoni), who was looking to hire them to find her husband Nicky Caccimelio — who was mentioned on...

Only Murders in the Building fans got a lot of answers to lingering questions in the season four finale. Is Loretta in danger? Who’s the next victim? And, why would Marshall P. Pope kill Sazz?
The final episode of the Emmy-winning series’ fourth whodunnit, now streaming on Hulu, began with Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) wondering why they haven’t heard back from Mabel (Selena Gomez) since texting her that screenwriter Marshall P. Pope (Jin Ha) was Sazz’s (Jane Lynch) protégé. Meanwhile, Oliver is worried that Loretta (Meryl Streep) will be their next victim, and Mabel is stuck in her apartment with none other than the murderer of this season, Marshall P. Pope, whose real name is Rex Bailey.
“Call the police or come anywhere near her door and I’ll kill her,” a text from Mabel’s phone to Charles reads.

‘Only Murders’ Showrunner Reveals Meryl Streep’s Emotional Response to Late-Career Romance Storyline
The hit Hulu comedy series “Only Murders in the Building” has brought together veteran actors Meryl Streep and Martin Short in a romantic storyline for season three. During filming, Streep approached showrunner John Hoffman to express her gratitude for the opportunity.
In a recent interview, Hoffman recounted Streep waiting until the early morning hours after wrapping a long day of filming to thank him privately. With tears in her eyes, Streep said she “had to wait here for you to get off the boat to say thank you.” The acclaimed actress shared her appreciation for performing romantic scenes later in her career. Streep described it as “the greatest thing ever.”
Streep’s character Loretta has developed a relationship with Short’s character Oliver throughout the third season. Their romance reportedly culminates in the season four finale airing in October.

Only Murders in the Building might be about Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles, (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) but Rudy, played by Kumail Nanjiani, stole the show—or at least a scene. How? When he launched into Jack Nicholson’s A Few Good Men monologue. Viewers only saw bits and pieces—more on why ahead—but, according to the show’s co-creator John Hoffman, Nanjiani performed the entire monologue in one take.
Nanjiani reciting the whole ‘A Few Good Men’ monologue wasn’t planned
On the heels of Meryl Streep and Melissa McCarthy’s living room brawl, the Hulu original series returned on Oct. 15, 2024, with the “Lifeboat” episode and a hilarious scene with Rudy and the Westies.
While confronting them about Dudenoff (Griffin Dunne), somehow Rudy launched into the famed A Few Good Men monologue. As Hoffman told The Wrap, Nanjiani went above and beyond for the scene during filming.

Editor’s Note: This post contains spoilers for “Only Murders in the Building” Season 4 up until the unaired finale.
After nine episodes investigating the murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), the “Only Murders in the Building” Season 4 finale is on the horizon. Between their personal connection to the victim, adventures across the Arconia courtyard, and the simultaneous movie adaptation of their podcast, this season saw the “Omitb” trio of Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) pulled in various directions while trying to dig up the truth.
Episode 9, “Escape from Planet Klongo,” took another narrative turn, moving Marshall P. Pope (Jin Ha) into the position of prime suspect. But as it always is with “Only Murders,” expect at least one more killer twist up the sleeve of these storytellers in the Season 4 finale.
But before that episode premieres, here’s a quick refresher on some key elements...

Adam Ray is bringing his Dr. Phil parody to Netflix with a wild new special in which the comedian — dressed as the mustachioed talk show host — will come face to face with Dr. Phil himself.
Debuting on Netflix on Nov. 19, the untitled “Adam Ray’s Dr. Phil Comedy Special” will also see Ray-as-Phil interview special guests including Patton Oswalt, Jay Pharoah and “Gollum,” and get to know the audience through silly questions and games.

I know we keep saying this season after season, but Only Murders in the Building season 4 has to be our favorite yet! The finale is just ahead, which brings us a bittersweet feeling. Are you not sure when the last episode of Only Murders is? Will there be another season after this one? Here’s what we know!
I’m sure I am not alone when I say that the only thing I don’t enjoy about Only Murders in the Building are the amount of episodes we get. Ten episodes is just not enough! But that’s what we have to work with and Hulu does not waste any time. There’s fun to be had in every scene. And don’t get me started on the star-studded celebrity appearances and cameos. You're missing out if you’re not watching Hulu’s hit comedy-drama.

The DC Universe has numerous projects in the pipeline, including a TV series centered on Booster Gold. Currently, we have little information about the show other than its announcement, but James Gunn has stated that just because something is announced doesn’t guarantee it will be released.
A few months ago, credible sources began reporting that Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani was cast in the role, which disappointed some fans who felt he didn’t physically match the character.
This speculation is particularly heightened given that fans have favored actors like Antony Starr and Chris Pratt for the role. Nanjiani has frequently been seen with James Gunn and the Superman cast at various events, fueling further rumors.
Recently, James Gunn shared an image showcasing the confirmed roles for the DC Universe, which included Nanjiani as Booster Gold. When asked if this was a confirmation of Nanjiani’s casting, Gunn responded with a clear “no.

Dcu has plenty of projects in development, just one of many is a TV series focusing on Booster Gold. We know nothing about the show at this point, only that it’s been announced. However, James Gunn recently said that just beacuse something was announced, doesn’t mean it’s going to get released.
A couple of months ago, credible sources started reporting that ‘Eternals’ actor Kumail Nanjiani has been cast in the role. Fans were disappointed since Nanjiani doesn’t physically fit with the role.
Especially in light of the fact that actors such as Antony Starr and Chris Pratt have been put as the favorites for the role by fans. Nanjiani has been often seen with James Gunn and the cast of ‘Superman’ at other events which further strengthened the speculations.

For Richard Kind, joining “Only Murders in the Building” Season 4 in the role of West Tower resident Vince Fish didn’t take too much convincing.
“They offered it to me. They said, ‘We’ll give you money if you play the part.’ I said, ‘Good, that’s good enough for me’,” the veteran actor of TV, film and theater told TheWrap in an interview when asked what drew him to the role. “If a show that’s produced by Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman, starring Marty Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez says they want you to work with them. You drop everything and you do it. I don’t care if they had me on the toilet reading the Yellow Pages. You do it. Note: This story contains spoilers from “Only Murders in the Building” Season 4, Episode 8.
The mystery of who killed Milton Dudenoff (Griffin Dunne) was solved in Tuesday’s episode of “Only Murders in the Building,” titled “Lifeboat” — and it turns out to be none other than Dudenoff himself, with an assist by the Westies.
After learning in last week’s episode that the Westies had been cashing Dudenoff’s checks despite his death, Oliver, Mabel, Charles, Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria and Zach Galifianakis invite the group over for a game of “Oh Hell” in an effort to confront them about his murder. But the plan quickly fell apart when the Westies revealed that they know the jig is up in their rent control scheme and hold them at knife point.

DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn has once again shared some big Dcu updates, and while he didn't exactly confirm we're getting a Superman trailer before the end of the year, the filmmaker certainly didn't deny it!
There have been rumblings for a while that the Dcu might be showcased at Ccxp in Brazil this December and it would be smart to end the year by showcasing the new Man of Tomorrow.
For now, though, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

A few months ago, there were rumours that Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani might be the Dcu's Booster Gold. We've heard nothing more since and the trades haven't shared any updates on the planned TV series.
After posting a fan-made image with Nanjiani pictured alongside Booster, Gunn was quick to point out that his sharing it wasn't meant to confirm any casting reports.

‘Booster Gold’ is among the many live-action shows slated for the Dcu in the coming years as part of ‘Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.’ Although details about the series are limited, James Gunn recently stated that production is not set to begin anytime soon.
As always, fans have expressed their preferences for actors to portray the titular character. Antony Starr and Chris Pratt were considered strong candidates due to their connections to Gunn and their physical resemblance to Booster Gold, but these rumors have now been dismissed.
Recently, Npn reported a rumor that Kumail Nanjiani has been cast as Booster Gold in the Dcu. The actor has an impressive resume, and if the rumors are accurate, he was likely chosen for his comedic background.

The satirical superhero series "The Boys" has done a phenomenal job of making its fictional world feel just as lived-in and established as our own. Instead of Fox News, they have Vought News, for example, but they have also included a whole bunch of celebrity cameos that make that fictional world feel a little less fictional. Sometimes the cameos are just a fun bit of stunt casting, but occasionally they elevate the scene or actually have meaning behind them. Series showrunner Eric Kripke has done a pretty good job of using the cameos sparingly but going for the gold when he does, occasionally asking series co-executive producer Seth Rogen to help him secure some of his more famous friends.

(This article contains spoilers for Only Murders in the Building Season 4, Episode 1.)
The trio is back in New York. After discovering the remains of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch) in the Arconia’s incinerator, Mabel (Selena Gomez) and Oliver (Martin Short) speculate that Charles (Steve Martin) might have been the intended target of the sniper that took her out. In Episode 2, they start to investigate while on hold with 911. Mabel and Oliver go to the lower-rent side of the building, where they presume the sniper was situated. Charles shelters in his apartment, left to cope with a grief-induced manifestation of Sazz, the threat of the sniper and an unexpected guest. The podcasters continue to investigate the neighbors opposite Charles’s apartment in Episode 3, this time with the help (or hindrance) of their actor counterparts from the Paramount biopic.

As Martin Short says in the Only Murders in the Building Season 4 teaser clip, “somewhere lay a sniper’s nest,” and the identity of that sniper will prove even more difficult to discover in the latest installment of Hulu’s murder mystery series, which has expanded its star-studded cast quite a bit.
The teaser trailer, plot summary and a new photo reveal the purpose behind the addition of some of the stars, because, in Oliver’s words they’re “goin to the movies.” The “starriest season yet” will arrive this summer on Hulu, bringing back the original trio of sleuths as well as other characters who have been a part of their Arconia drama since the beginning.
A new poster teases the Hollywood plot of Season 4 and bills all the major characters in a great film reel design.

Box office preview: Will ‘Speak No Evil’ keep ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ from its first place repeat?
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” may have given the fall movie season a serious jumpstart, but it’s not the only September release, as we are about to go into yet another busy weekend. Read on for Gold Derby’s box office preview.
James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Scott McNairy, and Aisling Franciosi (“The Last Voyage of the Demeter”) star in Universal Pictures and Blumhouse’s remake of the Danish horror film “Speak No Evil,” which received rave reviews when it premiered at Sundance and ended up streaming on Shudder. Directed by British filmmaker James Watkins (“The Woman in Black”), this remake looks pretty straight-forward with the same premise of a couple traveling to visit another couple they met on holiday, with the biggest difference being that the respective families are now American and British.

Turns out, the Arconia apartment building central to “Only Murders in the Building” still has a few secrets left to tell — including a whole other wing consisting of tenants who (shudder) rent, all of whom had the trajectory needed to fire the bullet that killed Sazz (Jane Lynch) at the end of Season 3.
“That was completely fun,” production designer Patrick Howe told IndieWire. “Radically different from those who own. And I hope it was not too much of an insult to them. But the writers put in the lines about windows being painted shut so the owners wouldn’t have to look at air conditioners. So I was like, all right then, anything’s fair game.”
The resulting apartments lack the airy graciousness of what we’ve seen in the previous three seasons, allowing a note of jealous voyeurism from the “Westies” to creep in, particularly given the “Rear Window...

The previous episode of Only Murders in the Building season 4 established that the killer’s real target was not Sazz but Charles. Charles had a hard time accepting that fact, but he realized that he needed to accept reality in order to catch the killer. In season 4, episode 3, Detective Donna Williams came to meet Mabel, Oliver, and Charles, and she told him that the investigating officers believe Jan to be the prime suspect. During the conversation, the name of Rudy Thurber popped up—a man obsessed with Christmas who, according to Donna, could have had a strong motive behind killing Charles. Now, the actors who were supposed to play Charles, Mabel, and Oliver in the Paramount film didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to witness the trio investigating a case. It was therefore decided that Mabel, Charles, and Oliver would pair up with the actors who were...
