John Forsyth grew up in God's own county of Yorkshire and now lives in London.
He is not only skilled at lighting the moving image: in 2013 he collaborated with artist Graham McLoughlin to produce the famous Tree Chair of Notting Hill.
It has been documented that he enjoys cooking and has a talent for barbecuing meat.
