Patrick Harpin was born in Bangor, Maine USA. He is a writer/director and actor, known for 'My Dad the Bounty Hunter' (2023), 'Moonrise Kingdom' (2012), his work on the 'Hotel Transylvania' film series, as well as his 'Batman Beyond' Animated Film Pitch (development)
Patrick Harpin attended California Institute of the Arts, and found a love in Storyboarding, which combined his loves of Drawing, Writing, Directing, Cinematography and even Acting. During school Patrick was also trained at Pixar Animation under their Story Apprenticeship program, as well as the Blue Sky Studios Story apprenticeship program.
After college, Patrick cut his teeth working in the studio system on Animated features (Ice Age 4, Hotel Transylvania 2 & 3) , as well as live action projects, working closely with Wes Anderson in NYC storyboarding a majority of Wes's film "Moonrise Kingdom".
Patrick also worked as a Storyboard artist/Film Editor on Mike Judge's 'Tales from the Tour Bus' for HBO (uncredited).
In 2019 Patrick Harpin pitched 'My Dad the Bounty Hunter' to Netflix as Co-Creator/Showrunner. Patrick showran for both seasons, which went on to be nominated for multiple Emmy awards as well as Annie awards, including noms for Patrick himself in Writing & Directing. Patrick also voiced one of the show's main characters, "Blobby".
Since then Patrick has been developing Feature & TV projects for multiple studios under his production company banner "Rough & Tumble Productions".
