The Royal Rumble is less than two weeks away, and for the first time in history, the WWE Championship will be defended in the over-the-top-rope match (the title was on the line in 1992, but it was vacant). For years, the Rumble has been one of the most anticipated nights of the WWE calendar, because the Rumble match itself only happens once a year.
There are many aspects of the Rumble match that are great, with the surprise of who enters at which number being one of the more exhilarating parts. Over the past decade or so, we have seen the inclusion of many surprise entrants who were not previously announced.
Sometimes it’s how people make their return to the company, or their return from injury. Other times, it’s a one-time-only return simply to pop the crowd and give them a nice dose of sweet nostalgia. Either way,...

If there’s one thing Vince McMahon has proved over the years, it’s that, short of a Chris Benoit-sized horror story or, as it seems, a spot of awful racism, no one is truly ever Gone For Good when it comes to WWE.
History has shown that pretty much anyone that’s rubbed the Boss up the wrong way can make amends and be back on Raw one day, whether it’s Steve Austin bringing his ball back in 2003, the Ultimate Warrior building bridges to finally make it into the WWE Hall Of Fame last year shortly before his untimely passing, or Bret Hart putting the most infamous wrestling bust-up in history to rest when he returned to WWE’s flagship programme after over 12 years away in 2010.

Things are sure heating up in WWE as we have finally made it to SummerSlam. If pro wrestling was food, we’d have ourselves a well cooked steak. In Tna, things have heated to kind of a medium-rare sort of steak…well, maybe not so much a steak as an under-cooked dollar menu burger. While the company has been surprisingly decent the past month or so, time may be running out for them to make a big play. I’m sorry to say, but I don’t think Team 3D vs. The Hardy Boyz in 2014 is going to be what saves them.
While each company is in vastly different financial situations, it’s an important time for both of them. Tna has to justify their existence quickly, and WWE has Network subscriptions coming up. And if I hear “$9.99” one more time, I’m going to buy pay-per-views at full price out of spite.

WWE.com have announced the shock release of former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio.
The website listed “unprofessional conduct, and an altercation with an employee” as the reasons for Del Rio’s release. They did not include the traditional “wish him well in his future endeavors” line.
The firing of Del Rio comes after the star had largely been removed from the WWE main event scene after being in the World Title mix for the duration of his WWE run.
According to Rob Feinstein of Rf Video, Del Rio slapped a member of WWE’s social media team, although that should be treated purely as a rumour at this stage.
Months ago it was rumoured that Del Rio planned on quitting WWE when his contract expired this year. During his WWE run, Del Rio was a two-time WWE champion, a two-time World Heavyweight champion, and a Royal Rumble winner.

During the massive budget cuts that the WWE underwent over the past week, one of the most high-profile releases was that of Ricardo Rodriguez, who had been a character on WWE TV for several years. Now new information has emerged regarding the motivation behind the cut.
F4WOnline is reporting that Rodriguez had grown frustrated that he wasn’t being utilized as an in-ring talent in any significant manner following his on-screen split with Alberto Del Rio. Rodriguez had served as Del Rio’s personal ring announcer since his debut in 2010, until their split in 2013.
Rodriguez’s physical condition also likely played a major factor in the WWE not using him in the ring, as well as the fact that he’s been injured during recent months. Rodriguez did however participate in several WWE and Nxt matches as the masked “El Local” wrestler.

It was an eventful week for wrestling fans, which seems like something we can say nearly every week lately. There always seems to be some sort of bad news whether it’s about an injury to somebody or stories about WWE losing money.
The big announcement was on Thursday with WWE saying they had 700,000 subscribers for WWE Network. That number was lower than they envisioned six months ago when the WWE Network started. As a result, WWE laid off 55 people this week as well as five wrestlers in developmental. The only on screen performer affected was Ricardo Rodriguez, who has barely been used in recent months.
There was also huge news for Tna Wrestling after a late Sunday night report about how Spike TV wasn’t going to renew their contract. If that happens it could be the end of Tna Wrestling unless they can find another network...

WWE Money In the Bank has become one of the more must-watch pay-per-views over the last few years. It is one of the only nights where fans genuinely don’t know who is going to be victorious and pull down that briefcase and become the new Mr. Money In The Bank. There is the feeling that anything can happen and your favorite WWE superstar can take that jump into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture. Once the winner is declared, each time the incumbent WWE Champion is at his weakest, fans wait for the new briefcase holder’s music to hit and cash in.
There are plenty of deserving candidates to pull down that briefcase. History has shown the odds are in your favor to be the next champion. 12 of the 14 previous winners have gone on to cash in successfully, with the most recently, Randy Orton cashing in...

Bill Hilary has been promoted to president of NuvoTV parent SiTV Media, under which NuvoTV’s current Evp Programming will add oversight of operations at Fuse, the network SiTV acquired from Msg in April for $275 million. That deal is expected to close shortly after a bidding battle with Sean Combs’ Revolt. Hilary joined NuvoTV last year ahead of the relaunch of the young Latino-skewing network, and since has helped spearhead a boost in original programming including the recently announced six music and entertainment series and specials, three unscripted dramas, two comedy series, and live sports specials. Among the new series is two from Jennifer Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions, stemming from her role as the network’s chief creative officer. He also helped the network’s rights acquisition of Showtime’s Dexter. Hilary will report to SiTV CEO Michael Schwimmer and will continue to have oversight of programming, development, acquisition and scheduling for NuvoTV,...

The Nxt Takeover event aired on WWE Network on Thursday night. It was a two hour event without commercials. The show took place at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida and featured a mix of Nxt stars along with main roster performers. Here’s a rundown of everything that happened with some quick thoughts on all the matches.
Adam Rose d. Camacho
The crowd loved Rose because they’ve seen him on Nxt for a while. They chanted all his catchphrases. The Raw and Smackdown crowds don’t react the same way to him. It was an easy win for Rose after five minutes of action.
The Ascension d. Kalisto & El Local in a Tag Team Title Match
Even though they’re heels the fans were into everything The Ascension. Kalisto & El Local look like they didn’t really belong. In case you’re wondering, El Local is actually Ricardo Rodriguez in a mask.

A leaked WWE Raw script lists Cm Punk as a miscellaneous WWE star who is out injured, with his return date Tbd (to be determined).
The full WWE script leaked from the April 14th Raw is available in full here and the first page below (with Punk’s listing as injured in the left hand bottom corner, under miscellaneous)
The inclusion of Cm Punk on the script and description of him out injured is interesting. Does this suggest Punk’s apparent exit in January was a work? Some will read it that way, but WWE could have just featured him on the script in this capacity because he’s under contract and they had to put him somewhere. Still, they could have just as easily edited him out of the script, including him as injured with a Tbd comeback is sure to raise some speculation. This script was...

'WWE Elimination Chamber' live blog: Will Randy Orton retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship?
The last big stop on the road to "Wrestlemania XXX" has arrived, and it's time to determine once and for all who will main event WWE's biggest annual show. It's "WWE Elimination Chamber" and, if prior versions are any indication, it's going to be a vicious night.
Here's the card for the show:
"Elimination Chamber" match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Cesaro vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus vs. Christian)Batista vs. Alberto Del RioThe Shield vs. The Wyatt FamilyThe New Age Outlaws vs. The Usos for the WWE Tag Team ChampionshipsBig E. vs. Jack Swagger for the Intercontinental ChampionshipDarren Young vs. Titus O'NeilKickoff: Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel
The match to watch, obviously, is the "Elimination Chamber" spectacle. Randy Orton is most likely going to walk out with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, then go on to meet Batista at "Wrestlemania,...

Night of Champions begins with a nice video package that resembles the ones from the 90’s and early 00’s. Triple H makes his way to the ring and talks about how the PPV would be a huge night and that there was no interference allowed in the main event between Orton and Bryan. Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel interrupt “The Game” and argue with him, attempting to cancel their match with Cm Punk. Instead, Triple H books an impromptu match with Axel’s Intercontinental Title on the line. His opponent is Kofi Kingston, who comes out to little or no reaction from the, currently, tepid Detroit crowd. The fans chant “boring” at Axel and fail to react to much of the match. The match itself isn’t bad, with the signature moves and holds from Kofi and Axel all being performed accurately. That’s the problem, it’s accurate, but it isn’t exciting.

There’s an old saying that says the road to hell is paved with good intentions. With just six days from WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view was the final stop in Memphis a pothole? Or did it make the drive to Miami all the more fun? Let’s talk about it, shall we?
The show begins with WWE’s power couple Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, who are very loving and all smiles. They run down the events of this Sunday announcing the contract signing for later in the night. They bring up that Shawn Michaels will be on hand in the main event segment. As they continue to do this rundown saying they care about what the fans think The Big Show appears on the video screen standing in front of a non-descriptive brickwall via satellite.

Coming into this Monday’s Raw, there was a lot of ill will from a lot of fans. After a what felt like a lazy finish surrounding the Big Show coming out of Battleground, WWE had a lot to make up for on this weeks episode. Did they deliver? Let’s talk about it.
The show begins with the woman now announced as “a principal owner” of the WWE Stephanie McMahon making her way to the ring. "WWE Battleground" is in the books and it left a less than positive impression on those who tuned in. The show ended with a finish that wasn't a finish, as Big Show appeared and knocked out both Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan, meaning there was no winner of the WWE Championship match. So the company is still without a top champion.
Elsewhere on the show, Cm Punk was able to get a measure of revenge on Paul Heyman, by cheating himself to a win over Ryback. However, the best match of the night featured Cody Rhodes and Goldust scoring a win over The Shield to get their jobs back in WWE. Of course, seeing as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are evil, they'll surely make things difficult for the Rhodes family.

It's time for another pay per view offering from WWE. This time, it's the inaugural "Battleground" show, which is main evented by another match between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship.
Technically this is the third outing between the two, though their bout at "SummerSlam" didn't have any actual fighting. This time there is no current WWE Champion, after Triple H stripped the belt off of Bryan following the shenanigans at "Night of Champions."
The night's other big match is a meeting between Cm Punk and Ryback. It's the latest chapter in Punk's battle with his former best friend Paul Heyman. Ryback cost Punk a match against Heyman at "Night of Champions," leading to this fight. Seeing as Bryan and Orton will likely keep going until "Hell in a Cell," this probably won't be the closing chapter in Punk and Heyman's story.

WWE Battleground takes place tonight and is one of the few times the company has two pay-per-views within a month’s time. It’s unfortunate that the quality of the pay-per-view is compromised due to lack of time, because there is so little build up to this event. Although I am not questioning WWE‘s business move having this event since WWE will probably pull its intended numbers, it’s hard to see Battleground being very good with only 3 weeks of build up and another 3 weeks away from the Hell in a Cell event. The only thing it has going for it is that it’s a brand new pay-per-view and WWE may pull off all the stops to make it a memorable one.
Here are our predictions for the event.

WWE Night of Champions began before it began, as WWE once again provided fans with what has now become a regular occurrence, it’s pre-show. The pre-shows so far have been hit and miss. Some have provided viewers with a decent free match, some have been advert-filled half hours with nothing-matches. Night of Champions was one of the okay ones, featuring a tag-team turmoil match, with the winning team being granted the opportunity to wrestle for the Tag Team Titles on the main show. It was a quick match, with 3Mb, Tons of Funk and The Uso’s being eliminated in that order, leaving The Prime Time Players and The Real Americans to fight over their number one contendership. The fans seemed to be supporting Antonio Cesaro above anyone else in the match, though The Uso’s were incredibly over. The Prime Time Players won the match via pinfall, allowing...

WWE's annual "Night of Champions" show has arrived, and there is one person noticeably missing from the card. After losing the WWE Championship at "SummerSlam" in August, John Cena is on the shelf, recovering from injury. That's why Triple H, acting as the new evil corporate honcho, has christened Randy Orton as WWE Champion and the new face of the company.
The show is headlined by Daniel Bryan getting his WWE Title rematch against Orton, after weeks of insults and attacks by the extended McMahon family. Now's the time for the company to show they actually have faith in Bryan being the top guy for a while. It only seems fair as he's one of the most talented wrestlers on the planet and arguably the most popular one at the moment.

Welcome to this weeks WWE Smackdown review and overview.
The show opens this week with Big Show making his way to the ring as the announcers sell how much he’s been through in the last few weeks. Big show reads from a piece of paper about how he did a bad job on Raw and apologises to Triple H and the other wrestlers. It’s obviously done to put Show over as a conflicted babyface who’s being forced to do things against his will by his tyrannical bosses. Triple H makes his way to the ring to a loud heel reaction. There many different locations in the WWE universe that have garnered much respect. We have the sacred ground of Madison Square Garden, the Allstate arena in Chicago and the Boston Garden. But out of all locations WWE has been, there’s nothing more fun than when WWE goes to “Bizarro World” in Toronto Air Canada Center.. And it’s only fitting that the bizarre one Goldust returns this past Monday from Toronto to avenge his brother attempting to get Cody’s job back against the WWE champion, Randy Orton.
The night begins with the returning WWE Hall of Famer Edge coming home to Toronto and the company. The Rated R Superstar comes back to a racous reaction. He says that he loves being back but it wasn’t of his own accord. Edge says he was mandated by Triple H to have a reunion with his old partner not Christian...

This week’s Smackdown begins with the WWE roster standing on the stage area, as has become usual in the last couple of weeks, and Triple H is in the ring with Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox, which is guarded by the three members of The Shield. Hunter talks about the “firing” of Cody Rhodes that occurred on Raw, he then asks for the WWE roster to speak up, open up to him and tell him how they truly feel. The roster sheepishly looks around, only a couple of guys speak up. Kofi Kingston and Rob Van Dam. We also hear Ryback, Damien Sandow and Heath Slater sucking up to “The Game”. The segment ends with Triple H announcing that Daniel Bryan will have the chance to pick any member of The Shield to wrestle later on in the show. Kofi Kingston versus Curtis Axel and Rob Van Dam versus...

WWE Monday Night Raw opens tonight with Hhh standing in the middle of the ring in his suit and tie. Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rolling are standing beside the ring with their championship belts draped over their shoulders. We’re live.
Hhh introduces the “Face of WWE”, Randy Orton, who hits the ring to pretty decent heat from the crowd before grabbing the microphone and talking about how Daniel Bryan is nothing more than a “B+ player”. Hhh tells the crowd that Daniel Bryan is similar to what Doink The Clown was and that Doink was never champion because it would have been bad for business, the same as if Bryan were to win the WWE title. Bryan’s music plays while the new corporation continue to insult the former American Dragon, the fans pop loud for Bryan who stands on the stage in his ring gear and...

To be honest, when Alberto Del Rio won the World Heavyweight Championship from Dolph Ziggler at Payback, I was very much against it. Alberto Del Rio has had a number of title reigns before but none of them have lived long in the memory… primarily because they never lasted long at all. Del Rio’s first WWE Title reign lasted a month, his second one lasted just over a month and his first World title reign lasted about 3 months. Del Rio was never able to prove himself as a strong world champion losing each of the belts so easily and so quickly. It was starting to be hard to believe that he would become a strong heel main-eventer for years to come. There was only the prestigious Royal Rumble victory in 2011 and his announcer Ricardo Rodriguez that was making Del Rio relevant in WWE anymore.
So I was a little...

Last week, we saw a new corporate culture emerge on the WWE’s flagship broadcast Monday Night Raw. This new regime of the COO and the McMahons made clear their new chosen son, Randy Orton, and their opinion on the People’s champion Daniel Bryan. Triple H gave the reasoning for the boardroom takeover of the WWE title as it being better for business. Is it really? That question became more pronounced on this weeks edition from Phoenix, Arizona.
The show begins with Triple H coming out recapping the last week of WWE surprisingly glossing over Smackdown. He says that he had no problem with Daniel Bryan until he insulted his wife last week. Now it’s personal. Triple H gloats by saying, Randy Orton has been good for business. He says ratings are up, social media buzz is at an all-time high and business is booming. He then brings out the champion.

This years SummerSlam looks to be an incredibly hard act to follow. We saw two match of the year candidates in Cena/Bryan and Punk/Lesnar and we also saw perhaps the most memorable ending to a pay per view in some considerable time.
Night of Champions is always an exciting concept, a night where every title will be on the line, and most importantly it will be on the main card (well, we hope so.) New face of the WWE Randy Orton will have to defend his WWE title, whilst The Shield will all be performing on the card. With John Cena injured for a considerable while it’s time for the other superstars to prove their worth, especially in the main event scene.
Here’s my look at the potential matches I think will go down at Night of Champions 2013…

There’s no doubt there was a lot of outrage on the internet following the conclusion of WWE SummerSlam. There were a lot of questions with Triple H, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan as Raw rolled into Anaheim. In the city of the Anaheim Angels, was there a devil on the shoulder of The Game? What’s next for John Cena and is Daniel Bryan’s big push over? About a month ago, I asked the question is Daniel Bryan the new Stone Cold Steve Austin? Judging from this weeks episode It definitely seems like that’s the case. While he may not swearing or lewd he seems to be set up to be the main protagonist against the new McMahon-Helmsley regime.
The show begins with John Cena who comes out and explains that he is just as disgusted by the actions of Triple H. Cena says that Bryan deserves to be champion.

Just a few weeks away from SummerSlam, WWE entered the Title Town of Green Bay, Wisconsin for this week’s Monday Night Raw. It was kind of fitting because the WWE Title was definitely the focus of this episode. As their encounter in Los Angeles gets closer Daniel Bryan and John Cena couldn’t get farther apart. The same can be said for the McMahon family themselves as the turmoil between Hunter, Stephanie and Vince finally seems to be boiling over. But will it lead to something we all want to see? Or will it bring serious venom and vitriol in the WWE universe?
The show begins at Stephanie McMahon recaps the last few weeks of strife between her husband and her father saying she found a compromise. The Vice President of Creative then says that Daniel Bryan agreed to the corporate makeover discussed last week. She shows a video...

Every week, it seems WWE’s Main Event and Nxt give fans solid action in the ring. However, this week the fans focus may gravitate what’s behind the announce table. We had some pretty eclectic pairs in the announce booth this week that really made the shows way more memorable than they should’ve been. This especially goes for this week’s Main Event from Edmonton, Alberta.
The show opens with the introduction of our new broadcast team for the Main Event for the foreseeable future. Our new squad is The Miz, Josh Matthews and Ricardo Rodriguez. Perhaps WWE finally realized that having Michael Cole on every broadcast was a little much. I know he’s the voice of WWE but he’s overexposed.
It’s interesting that they decided to give Rodriguez a shot at the announce table. I think he is a good talker, but in the right situations.

With WrestleMania 29 just around the corner, the WWE present what is is one of four “hardcore” pay-per-views on the companies yearly schedule (sharing that title with Extreme Rules, Hell in the Cell and TLC), Elimination Chamber. The penultimate pay-per-view before the WWE’s biggest show of the year, the Elimination Chamber is one of the most daunting challenges in any championship reign – outlasting five other competitors in a steel chamber for the right to challenge for the title at Wrestlemania.
Elimination Chamber 2013 opened with yet another feud match between Alberto Del rio and Big Show, with the World Heavyweight Championship no the line. After what seemed like an eternity of dreary movies already seen in the previous PPV matches, , Del Rio enzuigiri kicked Ricardo Rodriguez’s bucket that Show was holding into his head which eventually led to his signature cross arm breaker for the submission victory. After the announcement of John Cena’s injury from the European tour, there was a lot of speculation on what the WWE would do going into Monday. And what did we get exactly? Honestly, one of the weirdest episodes of Raw in recent memory.
I don’t know if it was the exhaustion from the flight over the Atlantic, but everything felt really haphazard. No more evident than with our opening match a triple threat match with Big E Langston versus Zeb Colter and Ricardo Rodriguez (rocking the Zubaz). The winner got to pick the stipulation for the triple threat match at Extreme Rules. It was what it was in the end, Ricardo picking up the victory, rolling up Colter for the win. I love the fact that halfway through the match everybody realize that it was no disqualification. It was one of those moments that left me scratching my head.

WWE definitely had its campaign hat on as Monday Night Raw came from the Beltway and Washington, DC as the company tried the hard sell on why you should buy Wrestlemania this Sunday on pay-per-view. This episode much like the politicians that reside there was all talk and no action. But was it good old-fashioned rhetoric or just a filibuster? I’ve already cast my vote… Let’s see what you think.
The show opened up with John Cena giving his final speech and into MetLife Stadium and how he will overcome his past failure and take that symbol created by The Rock (his words not mine fans of Cm Punk). A lot of this for standard Cena saying the same things we have heard week after week on how he has to beat The Rock to prove to himself that he can do it. That is better than The Rock.

Smackdown definitely felt a little bit sweeter this week. Maybe it was just because they were from Chocolate City USA, but it seems to have much more at its center.
Let’s begin with the opening as we play storytime with The Rock and hear about his plight of a fifteen-year-old in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania craving a Whatchamacallit. I’ll give them this much. It was entertaining hearing Dwayne discuss taking a candy bar from an old lady was cute but it felt like a lot of filler considering the segment we got on Monday. And then came John Laurinaitis from the back, who now works backstage as the head road agent that’s why he was there.
The interplay between the two was okay, nothing spectacular, but everybody knew where this was going Rock was going to attack Johnny Ace after dispersing the advances of people power in fighting John Cena at Wrestlemania 29.

Less than two weeks out from Wrestlemania 29, WWE had to pull a lot of rabbits out of their hats to make anyone care about the biggest show of the year. Hell, for the longest time it didn’t seem like anyone in the company really cared about the show and they were just coasting on the brand name of Wrestlemania going right into MetLife Stadium on April 7. Well, in my opinion that all changed last night on Raw.
I know it’s cliché every time wrestling emanates from the city of brotherly love Philadelphia to pull out Ecw reference some not going to do that say it was extreme. But it was definitely way more aggressive than we’ve seen in recent weeks. As competitors showed more fire and intensity than we’ve seen in WWE for some time.

The Royal Rumble is considered in the WWE universe as the start of the road to Wrestlemania, the most exciting time in any wrestling fans calendar and one which is jammed pack with excitement and unpredictability. It is also the first Pay Per view of the year and a good indication as to what fans can be looking forward to in the coming twelve months. Unfortunately this year’s event offered neither excitement or unpredictability with lazy booking and predictable outcomes letting down what would have otherwise been a fantastic event. Here’s my in depth look at what went down this past Sunday night…

From Ricardo Rodriguez duct taping The Big Show to the bottom rope to give Alberto Del Rio a win and a defense of the World Heavyweight Championship all the way to a controversial finish in the WWE Title match between Cm Punk and The Rock.
Not only do we discuss the happenings during the PPV itself but we lend our thoughts on the build up to each and match and how we felt about the story arcs as a whole. We also break down where we think each feud will carry on next...

WWE kicked off its PPV schedule for 2013 with all that we can expect throughout the coming year – laughs, shocks, thrilling action, controversy and the continued presence of the Great Khali. The Royal Rumble match was short compared to previous instalments but provided enough excitement to keep the crowd entertained and satisfied, with John Cena eventually winning the prestigious contest by lastly eliminating Ryback.
However, the crowd were mostly pumped up for the shock returns of both Goldust and Chris Jericho, who lasted over forty minutes from his entry at No. 2. Stellar performances from Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston, upstart Bo Dallas and the starting participant Dolph Ziggler made this one of the most hotly contested matches in its history (despite the winner being a pretty full-gone conclusion).

I wonder if I can convince Virgin Media to refund me my £14.95 after last night’s Royal Rumble proved to be a monumental waste of money?
After what can only be described as a weak build up, the Royal Rumble finally hit out screens last night, leaving many WWE fans lost for words – and not in a good way. The show opened with the World Heavyweight Title match between Alberto Del Rio and The Big Show. This was nowhere near their previous match in terms of excitement and urgency, and would have been a much better fit for an episode of Smackdown, or better yet, a house show. After a sloppy back and forth, the match ended when Del Rio’s Bff Ricardo Rodriguez taped Show’s feet to the ropes preventing him from standing before the 10 count. Oh, and Bret Hart appeared and called Del Rio the Mexican Hitman.

Another week and another average episode of WWE Smackdown passes us by with about as much impact as a baseball bat made out of jelly, sadly at a time when the entire WWE product should be focused on its first major PPV of 2013.
What’s that? You didn’t realise there was even a PPV coming up? Well, that isn’t all that surprising really considering the horrendously weak build up the event has had since the start of the year. WWE Hell in a Cell was a pay-per-view that was afforded six weeks of build-up time, and still the event appeared to be rushed. It appeared that the insertion of Ryback into the WWE Title picture, the lackluster feud between Sheamus and Big Show and lack of intensive feuding prior the PPV had led many to believe that this could be the worst of 2012.
What happened? As per usual, the superstars and creative team pulled another great event out of the hat, to carry on one of the most entertaining years in wrestling history. The action was great, the storytelling masterful, and provided for a night that was memorable and engrossing. It may not have been the best event of the year, but it was certainly worth ordering. And now I get to present to you some of the best moments from 24 hours ago. Let’s get to it!

It's one thing to discover a new talent, quite another to rediscover an old talent. The two experiences offer different satisfactions. The former involves the capacity to recognise and create fashion. The latter offers the pleasures of defying changing fashions, of restoring and confirming old hopes, beliefs and enthusiasms, of seeing justice done and traditions confirmed. One thinks of Bill Russell in the 1940s tracking down the New Orleans jazz men Bunk Johnson and George Lewis working in Louisiana cane fields, getting their instruments out of hock and recording new versions of their work. Of the novelists Jean Rhys in England and Henry Roth in the Us, whom many thought dead, being found in rural retreats and brought back into print. There is...
