Baker Wiles was born to Richard E. Wiles Jr., a pilot and proprietor of several drive-in movie theaters, and Janet Baker, a restaurateur, mixed media artist, and graphic designer. Baker Wiles' passion for acting was formed early when he was cast as Billy Ray Jr. in "On Golden Pond," his first professional show, which premiered at Theatre Le Homme Dieu, a summer stock theater in his hometown. After that, he explored as many opportunities to perform as possible. Through grammar and high school, Baker performed in many productions and at the Alexandria Area Arts Association (now the Andria), the local community theater. He attributes some of his love of the performing arts to working with wonderful directors such as Jack Reuller (On Golden Pond) and Terry Lynn Carlson (The Music Man), both staples in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Theatre district.
Baker has appeared on various television networks. He was recently featured in Season 7 of Young Sheldon on Episode 3. He was on Netflix in an episode of "Monster: The Jefferey Dahmer Story." Baker worked on Parmount's "The Offer." He also shared the role of The Monster with T-Pain on Season 1 of the hit show "The Masked Singer (Fox)." Other recent credits include a scene opposite Milo Ventimiglia on "This Is Us" (NBC), a scene with Dave Dastmalchian on Bill Burr's "Immoral Compass" (Roku), and recurring work on the Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS). A scene on HBO's "Perry Mason" ended up on the cutting room floor. Baker earned fan praise for his acting in "The Education of a Negro," a feature film. Another project Baker recently co-starred in, "Storyteller," a short drama from Smashwerks Films directed by Emmy award winner Jacopo Campaiola, won best short at two film festivals.
Baker is the Executive Producer of "Sunny Daze," an independent feature film written and directed by Jason Wiles, starring Golden Globe winner Michael Beach (Monster: Jefferey Dahmer, Aquaman) and Lonnie Chavis (This Is Us). Sunny Daze won Best Heartland Narrative at the Kansas City Film Festival International and was an official selection at Dances With Films in LA and at the SOHO Film Festival in New York.
Baker Wiles is a member in good standing of the Screen Actors' Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the Actor's Equity Association (AEA).
Baker is signed across the board with So Cal Talent and is represented by Rina Zaide.
