Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was a surprisingly successful entry in Phase Four of the MCU. The film was released at the height of the pandemic and earned over $432 million at the box office. A sequel was announced at the time, with filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton returning.
While the origins of the Ten Rings have been kept ambiguous in the MCU, they seem to be extremely powerful. A new rumor regarding the sequel revealed that time travel will be involved in Shang-Chi 2. Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi would reportedly be able to time travel and battle the Agents of Atlas using the Ten Rings.

Avengers: Endgame premiered a long time ago, but it is still considered to be one of the best and most influential comic book movies of all time. Endgame changed the game for Marvel and the MCU, ending an era and changing the state of the universe’s narrative going forward, and that “forward” had its good and bad moments.
But while this movie has been – more or less – analyzed completely, the fans still like going back to this superhero epic and discussing some interesting theories about certain scenes and relationships from the movie, which is what actually inspired this report, as we are going to discuss an important moment from the movie.
The moment we are talking about is the scene in which Captain America uses Thor’s weapons, namely Mjolnir and Stormbreaker, with the theory implying that Thor actually saved Cap’s life by taking the latter away from...

Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are known for their time as Captain America and Black Widow in the MCU. The duo formed one-third of the original Avengers team that debuted in the titular 2012 movie. Despite the close bond between the original six Avengers cast members, Evans revealed that only Johansson supported him during a major career moment.

While Chris Evan’s career was mostly dictated by Captain America in the last decade, playing a brave man, who is a symbol of truth and justice, isn’t exactly his cup of tea. Before landing the part of Steve Rogers, Evans mostly took gigs of characters who were a far cry from his virtuous Marvel counterpart.

Moreover, after parting ways with the MCU in 2019, the actor was back to playing such smug characters again, especially in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out. David Yates, who helmed Evans’ Pain Hustlers, later touched on the actor’s tendency to play such morally questionable characters, which doesn’t resemble Evans in the slightest.

Fresh off the success of Deadpool and Wolverine, Marvel Studios looks to continue its comeback with the fourth installment in the Captain America franchise. But this won't involve the series' former leader Steve Rogers, as the mantle has now passed to his best friend and confidante Sam Wilson.
The former Falcon was reluctant to carry it on at first, but after the events of Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, he finally agreed to become the next Captain America; both carrying on the legacy of Captain Steve Rogers and starting a new chapter as his own hero. And now, he finally gets the spotlight in Captain America: Brave New World, which makes its way to theaters in February 2025.

The Boys is basically the MCU’s wild alter ego, with Homelander’s over-the-top brutality being the exact opposite of Captain America’s wholesome patriotism. The crazy antics in The Boys are so far out that even the most creative MCU fan couldn’t dream them up.

Chris Evans‘ portrayal of Captain America is one of the best casting decisions that Marvel has ever made. However, we came pretty close to having someone else bring Steve Rogers to life in the MCU.
While Chris is so well-cast in the role that it’s like he’s playing himself, he faced some stiff competition to carry Cap’s iconic shield.
In fact, Chris initially turned it down. Who might have picked up the shield if he never agreed to lead the Avengers? We did some digging and rounded up 11 actors who were considered for the role.
Interestingly, some of them wound up acting alongside Chris in the MCU. Two of them even yielded Cap’s shield at various points.
Others joined the franchise after he left. Some even had the chance to play roles in other mega-successful franchises, and one of them later revealed that they had to...

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier might not be the most popular MCU show, but it had some brilliant moments that the fans still love. It provided us with more scenes involving Bucky and Baron Zemo, some of which are now classics, while, at the same time, introducing us to new characters that are now an important part of the MCU.
One of these characters is John Walker, also known as U.S. Agent, who was initially introduced as the replacement for Steve Rogers as Captain America – which angered everyone, as it was supposed to be Falcon – but he turned out to be a corrupt narcissist who did not share Cap’s ideals.
And while Walker got his redemption, ultimately, and will appear in the upcoming Thunderbolts* movie, three years after the series premiere, the fans are still amazed by one scene involving Walker that was shown in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,...

Captain America is one of the most revered and respected superheroes across the world, whether it be cinema or comic books. Since the start of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character has embodied courage, integrity, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to do the right thing. So when Chris Evans’ Cap passed on the shield, many knew it would be a Herculean task to fill his shoes.

Playing a superhero often requires looking like a superhuman, which is no small feat. Recently, fans have criticized actors like Henry Cavill and Hugh Jackman for promoting unrealistic body standards, as they often undergo extreme diets to achieve their on-screen physiques.
Actors typically spend months preparing for these roles, especially when their characters are expected to appear superhuman.
Two of the MCU’s superhumans are Captain America and Thor. Both Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth are renowned for their impressive physiques and incredible on-screen stunts.
This is largely due to their dedicated lifestyle and commitment to the roles they take on. Recently, a video resurfaced showing Evans commenting on Hemsworth’s physique.
The two actors reportedly compared muscles, but Evans confessed that there was really no contest at all.
There’s no comparison. I mean come on, it’s very difficult to stand next to him. He literally, he is Thor.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has produced hit after hit (along with the occasional miss) and, since 2008, grossed a massive $31 billion at the worldwide box office.
That makes it one of the biggest franchises ever and what Marvel Studios has done remains unprecedented. Under the watchful eye of Kevin Feige, a series of interconnected movies - and now TV shows - have been produced which are, essentially, like the comics come to life. The MCU has set an impossibly high benchmark which rival studios continue to try and emulate with little success.

It may be hard to believe, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently old enough to get its very own driver's license. That's right; it's been sixteen years of epic storytelling, jaw-dropping action sequences, and tear-dropping moments. For more than a decade and a half, we've watched our favorite heroes come to life on the big screen, save the day, travel through time, and even break the multiverse.
But regardless of how many strengths the MCU has, one of its best will always be the on-point casting. We all know Robert Downey Jr. was born to play the billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist; Tony Stark. Much like him, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner all perfectly fit their respective roles. So it's time to take a trip down memory lane and look how old the original six Avengers were when they started their epic journey on the MCU!

The most obvious one, especially thanks to Deadpool & Wolverine, is Chris Evans. He initially stepped into the MCU as Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, in the first bunch of Fantastic Four movies as the MCU got off the ground.

Fans are surely missing Chris Evans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the legacy must continue with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the new Captain America. Of course, someone has to take his place as Falcon and that job will be assumed by Danny Ramirez’s Joaquín Torres, whom fans have already met in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

It’s already a known fact that Wilson will replace Steve Rogers in the MCU sooner or later, but there were still doubts about Mackie’s performance and ability to live up to the expectation. He has a big shoe to fill in, and we’ll only see how well he fares once the movie comes out.

Thor (2020) is one of the best Thor stories to come out in recent times, bringing in all the characters that want to see play out in a Thor story. A time in Thor’s history when anyone could pick up Mjolnir, this recent run of Thor delivered some moments that deserve to be in the MCU one way or the other.

While there have been a lot of moments in Thor’s comics that have not made it to the MCU, one, in particular, would have been a great addition to the film had Mjolnir still existed in the MCU. There are a few things from the comics that are impossible to translate to the big screen, and this particular shot seemed tailor-made for the character, even with the differences in the MCU character and his comics counterpart.

MCU Heroes Who Saved the Multiverse More Times than We Can Count - Main Image
Multiple projects with a multiversal focus have been produced since Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Naturally, this meant that the franchise's worlds and alternate realities would collide in upcoming phases.
Phase Six of the MCU is set to conclude with the release of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars but before these films hit cinemas,
let's list down all the MCU heroes who saved the multiverse on more than one occasion.
Unsurprisingly, several heroes have saved the multiverse on their own.
Captain Peggy Carter
You probably already know Captain Carter from Guardians of the Multiverse if you've seen What If seasons one and two. Captain Carter is shown repeatedly saving the universe multiple times, and taking down villains on her own in What If Season Two.

Chris Evans might be best known as Steve Rogers, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first Captain America, but most fans will know this was not his first foray into superhero movies. In fact, it wasn't even his first experience playing a Marvel character. Prior to playing Cap, Evans appeared as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in 2005's "Fantastic Four" — a much maligned effort from the days when 20th Century Fox owned a chunk of the Marvel portfolio, only for the studio itself to be subsumed by Disney in 2019.
But when it comes to "Fantastic Four," one thing that you can't fault director Tim Story for is the casting, especially in Evans' case. The actor did a fine job as Johnny Storm, bringing a cocky yet endearing energy to the role, and seemingly maintaining a personal affection for the character ever since. When it comes to subverting expectations, Christopher Nolan and M. Night Shyamalan are two names that would cross most fans’ minds. From Cobb being responsible for his wife’s demise in Inception to Malcolm being dead all along in The Sixth Sense, these are some of the many gobsmacking twists that can be found throughout their filmography.

Since its inception back in the late 2000s, the MCU has had a villain problem, with one example being Guy Pearce’s Aldrich Killian. While Iron Man 3 is arguably one of the top pre-Infinity War MCU entries, Killian is undoubtedly one of its weakest parts. Apart from being forgettable, the motivations that fueled his revenge quest against Tony Stark were quite bland.
On the contrary, Zemo, who was also fueled by Tony’s shortcomings, was more fleshed out and had strong motivations to pursue the Avengers and was also successful in his quest for revenge. However, following his treatment post-Civil War, fans feel that the MCU dropped the ball massively with him.

In the vast Marvel universe, Captain America has always stood out for being a symbol of true courage, selflessness, and heroism. Of all the films on Marvel's upcoming slate of movies, Avengers: Secret Wars might just be the most eagerly-anticipated. Not only is it based on one of the most iconic Marvel Comics storylines of all time, it's also set to bring about the end of the franchise's Multiverse Saga, acting as this chapter's Avengers: Endgame, if you will.
With that in mind, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will likely provide an incredible piece of entertainment, full of surprises and memorable moments that could very well send the Multiverse Saga out on a note even higher than the Infinity Saga's legendary finale. Oh yes, there has already been speculation about who could make their presence felt in the film, and whether or not Marvel Studios will bring back some more classic Marvel characters (both from the MCU and film series that pre-date it).
Well, a new report suggests that we could very well see just that,...

After the success of the first "Deadpool," 20th Century Fox immediately began planning a trilogy, with the original idea being for the X-Force to feature prominently in the third film. Of course, "Deadpool 2" ended up being kind of about X-Force, and by the time that movie was released, Disney had already announced the acquisition of 20th Century Fox. This also meant going back to the drawing board for "Deadpool 3."
Still, this didn't stop Ryan Reynolds from trying to make the third "Deadpool" movie happen, as brainstorming on that movie started before "Deadpool 2" opened in theaters. Many of the early concepts for "Deadpool 3" were eventually scrapped, like making it a Sundance-sized road trip movie with Dopinder or a bad remake of "Thor: The Dark World." Still, certain elements struck around and even made their way into the final version, i.e. "Deadpool & Wolverine."

"Captain America is arguably the most renowned hero in the Marvel Universe, widely known as 'The Timeless Hero.' The character's legacy, traversing from the World War II era to his resurgence in contemporary times, is truly monumental in both the world of Marvel Comics and the comic book genre as a whole. Despite fluctuating or shifting timelines, his 80-year tenure has yielded many diverse interpretations."

We brought you some new details about Spider-Man 4 earlier today and, in this rumour roundup, we're taking a deep dive into the wider MCU.
At last month's San Diego Comic-Con, Robert Downey Jr. was announced as Doctor Doom, the big bad of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. That's seemingly closed the door on Kang for now, though The Cosmic Circus says, "[we] wouldn’t count Nathaniel [Richards] out just yet."
They add, "The last [we] heard about Kang, they were planning to evolve him into something else, but now, it’s just a weird limbo." That doesn't sound overly promising and it seems Marvel Studios may have even ditched plans for the villain to appear in X-Men '97 season 2. There, it's said the idea was for us to meet his Rama-Tut Variant.
On the plus side, "Loki will be at the center" of the next Avengers movies, with Sylvie's role...

The next addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Brave New World, is set to reach theatres on February 14, 2025 – and this Captain America adventure, which sees Anthony Mackie’s character Sam Wilson, formerly known as Falcon, carrying the shield now that his pal Steve Rogers is retired, has some strong connections to the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk. Not only does it feature the Incredible Hulk character Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross (with Harrison Ford taking over for the late William Hurt), but Liv Tyler is reprising the role of Ross’s daughter Betty and Tim Blake Nelson is back as Samuel Sterns, also known as The Leader. During a chat with Variety, Nelson confirmed that he was pleased to have the opportunity to play Sterns again, and said that, despite talk of superhero fatigue and some of last year’s entries having disappointing box office returns, you should never “count Marvel out.

In a movie full of surprises, one of Deadpool and Wolverine's biggest - for those that hadn't been keeping up with the rumors, at least - was the return of Chris Evans to the MCU in a pivotal moment shortly after Logan and Wade Wilson are stranded in The Void.
Evans is ultimately revealed to be playing The Fantastic Four's Johnny Storm, but right up until the moment he flames on, we are supposed to believe he's reprised the role of Steve Rogers/Captain America.
John Staub has now shared some more concept art, this time featuring the "red, white and blue" Nomad-inspired look Evans sports prior to taking to the skies as the Human Torch.
Check out the artwork below, along with a fun new video of Jennifer Garner's Elektra going about her day in the Resistance's lair, and some more shots of Dogpool from Ryan Reynolds.

The Avengers are one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's biggest staples. The team brought the franchise to its first billion-dollar box office sensation, taking it to a whole new level of success, and they have proceeded to do that over and over again, with the next three Avengers movies all doing the same.
The team isn't officially together anymore, quietly disbanding after Avengers: Endgame and the losses they suffered in the midst of their big victory, but its surviving members will reunite (and be joined by a ton of new heroes in the process). That's right, they will be back to battle a new threat in both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
There have been a lot of rumors about who the team's new leader would be, with one of the more prominent ones suggesting an incredibly unlikely choice. A more recent report, however, negates that, saying that the...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe did not invent the post-credits scene, but it did popularize and standardized it in superhero blockbusters to the point where audiences are now expected to stay through the credits lest they miss out on some surprise, some tease of what is to come in the next movie, or simply a funny gag.
Some of the post-credits scenes in the MCU are good, great even, and some are terrible and a waste of time. It's a wild time to be a Marvel fan, it really is. The Multiverse Saga sure has had its ups and downs, but it has also provided us with opportunity after opportunity to see some of the heroes we grew up watching on our screens once again. From Patrick Stewart's return as Professor Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to the comebacks of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's webslingers in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it has been the gift that has kept on giving.
Deadpool and Wolverine took that to the next level when Hugh Jackman returned as Logan. The film also featured a number of nods and references to Fox's X-Men movie series, which honestly feels like something that we would have never expected to happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just a few years ago.

Laura Karpman will compose the score for Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World.“
Karpman is no stranger to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having scored the music to the Disney+ series, “What If…?” and “The Marvels.”
The fourth Captain America film stars Anthony Mackie as flying superhero Sam Wilson, formerly known as Cap’s sidekick the Falcon. Mackie takes the mantle over from Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, who starred in the previous three “Captain America” movies and the four “Avengers” movies.
This time around, Sam is greeted by Harrison Ford’s U.S. President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who wants to make Captain America a U.S. agent. The action heats up quickly as the superhero stops a would-be assassin at the White House. As previously confirmed, Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross will indeed, be transforming into the Red Hulk in the film.

Heading into last month's San Diego Comic-Con, we'd hoped Marvel Studios might replace Avengers: The Kang Dynasty with Avengers vs. X-Men. Instead, we got Avengers: Doomsday and the news Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom.
It's a ballsy move on Marvel's part but not one which closes the door on Earth's Mightiest Heroes doing battle with mutants. An Earth-616/Earth-100005 Incursion looks increasingly likely and, when that happens, a fight is bound to ensue.
That isn't the full-blown Avengers vs. X-Men movie we'd expected, but a clash between the McU's greatest and Fox's iconic roster of X-Men is an undeniably enticing prospect. With that in mind, it's time to explore key moments from the comic books which need to be adapted by the Russos.

There has been a slew of great Captain America storylines from Marvel over thee years.
