Fernando Rodriguez is a Costume Designer and Fashion Stylist, who partners with producers, directors, photographers, executives and everyday people to grow their personal and professional look. With a proven eye of success in delivering comprehensive imagery and styling solutions, Fernando continues to push his creativity and perfect his design aesthetic as he makes his mark in the fashion industry.
Fernando holds an Associate's Degree from Miami International University of Art and Design, located in the modern, cosmopolitan, and most definitely multicultural city downtown Miami. Fernando has been mentored by many of the best, such as Danny Santiago, Amanda Friedland, and Caroline Eselin.
After spending nearly eight years working in an ever-changing industry; Fernando is highly experienced across styling mediums throughout the fashion industry. He has experience in multimillion dollar feature films, low budget/short films, music videos, commercials, and magazines. His work can be seen on Fox Television Studio's, Graceland, season 1-3; Burn Notice, season 4-7; HBO's Ballers Pilot; Miss Peregrine's home for Peculiar Children; Oscar Award winning movie, Moonlight; and Golden Globe and Oscar nominated movie, Florida Project.
Fernando has dedicated himself to the craft of costume design and character building for film, commercial advertising, and private professional clientele. In 2013, Fernando started his own styling company, JFerrod Inc., which provides creative direction to high profile clients on red carpet looks, personalize shopping, and styling. His motivation was found in being constantly approached for his opinion or assistance offset. His most recent success was dressing writer of Moonlight, Tarell McCraney for the Oscars 2017 which landed him on the red carpet best dressed list and also acknowledged by Jimmy Kennel as best tuxedo of the night. With continuous growth in his career it has allowed Fernando Rodriguez to expand his work in the three premium city's of Miami, New York & Los Angeles.
He believes costume design is a means for the communication of an idea through sight! Successful design takes the story, and the characters, and translates them through an artistic use of color, pattern, and material.
