Kate Antognini is a casting director whose unique casting approach blends traditional actors casting with real people scouting and research. Every film she's cast has paired a first time actor lead - found through street scouting and research - with industry vets. Her notable credits include Port Authority (Cannes Un Certain Regard 2019), HBO's How To with John Wilson, Goldie (Berlin 2019) and Palm Trees and Power Lines (Sundance 2022). In 2021 the short film They Saw the Sun First that she cast for director Stefan Hunt won a BAFTA.
