She is experienced in many areas: she studied English Literature and History of Art at the University of Edinburgh, then her path led her to the Łódź film school in Poland and later – to theatre. During her theatrical practice she met Rosanna Hall, one of her future co-writers for her debut feature Wet Monday. Mytnik wrote and polished this project together with Hall and Monika Dembińska, combining her passion for storytelling with her interest in adolescent psychology affected by trauma.
