Melinda Brooke was born on July 23, 1996. Her parents, Jose and Sofia Martins (both of Portuguese decent) raised her and her older brother Christian in Pennsylvania. She attended Lower Moreland High School. She then went on to Graduate from West Chester University with a degree in Communications with a focus in Video Production and a minor in American Sign Language. Soccer, being big in Europe and the Portuguese community, it was always a big part of Melinda's life. Her parents had hopes of her playing professionally one day. However, Melinda had other goals in mind. Melinda always knew she would grow up to become an actress. When Melinda turned 13, she started to actively pursue her acting career. After some modeling, runway shows and extra work on various TV shows, she got her first lead role in a short film "The Kids Are Up To Something" as well as the lead role for a pilot "Trained".
