American filmmaker born in 1990 from Atlantic City, New Jersey and resides in New York, NY. Originally of Albanian descent, Kreshnik studied film at Lynn University in Florida where he was introduced to documentary filmmaking and received his masters in film. Kreshnik has been featured in "DOC NYC's "40 Under 40," which spotlights young creatives that are making an impact on the field of documentary.
He began his filmmaking career at NFL Films, where he worked on numerous sports documentaries that aired on HBO & ESPN.
His first feature directorial debut was in 2017 with "Triumph" which shows the political tension of war and history following the Albanian national football team and their road to their first ever qualification into a major tournament. The film premiered at the 2017 Warsaw Film Festival and attended other festivals such as DocsMX, AmDocs, Fajr Film Festival and also won the audience award at Dokufest Film Festival. It was released on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video in May 2020.
His second feature documentary "Belonging" was supported by the Icelandic Film Center and screened at Thessaloniki Film Festival, Dokufest, Nordisk Panorama, Tirana Film Festival and Reykjavik Film Festival. The film follows a family facing the aftermath of deportation.
He is also in post-production of his third feature documentary "Enough" that follows Attorney Lee Merritt who runs one of the largest civil rights firms in the United States.
