Mohit Chauhan is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Hindi films and television shows. He was raised in Dehradun and did his schooling from Sainik School, Gorakhal. His father was a Major in the Indian army (Gorkha Rifles).
He wanted to become an actor from a very young age and carried that desire and passion in him throughout his academic years. Mohit started acting in 1994 with Labelas, a Raman Kumar show directed by Vinita Nanda. He did quite a few cameos in Tu Tu Main Main, Hadd Kar Di, Ek Do Teen, etc.
Mohit finally made his film debut in 2003 with Zameen, starring Ajay Devgan. This was followed by several movies, including Dhoom 2, Detective Naani, Prince and Life Express, to name a few.
He earned great recognition and accolades for his impressive work in the industry, despite not coming from an acting background. He crafted his own niche by enhancing his project portfolio and work credentials.
The maverick artist became a familiar face after gaining fame through key projects, such as Chak De India, which starred Shahrukh Khan in the lead role. He also did several other movies, including Second Marriage Dot Com, Monsoon Shootout, Maazi, War, Dono, Do Patti and Lakhan Leela Bhargava, among others.
Mohit also played several roles in different television shows, including Ek Hazaron Main Meri Behna Hai, Rishton Ka Chakraview, Tera Mujh Se Hai Pehle Ka Nata Koi, Khote Sikke, Sadda Haq, Bebaakee, Mahadev, Dehleez, etc.
He portrayed the role of the Prime Minister of India in web series Shoorveer and Ranneeti. He also worked in Call Me Bae and Patalok Season 2, which is all set to be released on 17th of January.
Some of his recent movies include Rakshak: India's Brave and Tejas: Sky Force, which is releasing on 24th January.
