Naphtali Devon Brooks is an American actor, model and comedian.
Naphtali was born in Edison, New Jersey and was raised in the nearby town of Somerset. He is the second of three children of Natalie Spencer, an accountant, and Eric Brooks, former semi-professional soccer player. His older brother, Jazear Brooks, is a computer engineer and graduate of Yale University. His younger sister, Niteesa Brooks, is graduate of Columbia University in New York.
At Franklin High School, Naphtali was a state-champion hurdler, Vice-President of the Spanish Club, as well as an inductee in the Spanish National Honor Society. While at FHS, he participated in many school plays and musicals. Upon graduating high school, Naphtali moved to the Big Apple to pursue his dream of becoming a comedian. As a freshman at New York University, Naphtali won several stand-up comedy competitions, enabling him to work in major comedy clubs throughout New York and the metropolitan area. Although a Romance Language Major at NYU, Naphtali left after two years to pursue comedy and acting full time, eventually moving to Los Angeles. With his signature smile and good-sense of humor, he truly is a shining star.
In his spare time, Naphtali enjoys running, hiking, singing and playing the piano and guitar.
