Rachel Zegler is playing the title princess in Disney’s upcoming live-action Snow White movie and she’s performing a gorgeous new song in the film!
Egot winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul wrote the song “Waiting On a Wish” for the new film and it’s definitely going to become a new Disney classic.
Disney shared a sneak peek of Rachel performing the song as a Christmas Day surprise.
“Waiting on a wish / Holding out for someday / Hoping somehow, some way / There comes a miracle to find me / I close my eyes and see / The girl I’m meant to be / Is she a part of me I’ve had to hide?” Rachel sings.
A new trailer for the movie was released just a few weeks ago. The movie, also starring Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen and Andrew Burnap as the Prince, will hit theaters on March 21.

One of A24's new horror releases this year is scheduled to make its official streaming debut this January. It's the psychological horror film The Front Room starring Brandy Norwood, and it's coming to Max early next month. It will debut on the popular streaming platform on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025. Then, the next day, it will make its linear debut on HBO at 8:00 p.m. Et.
Like many other horror movies, The Front Room is based on another piece of work. It's based on Susan Hill's short story of the same name. Creative brother duo, Max and Sam Eggers, wrote the script for the film as well as directed it.
A24 released The Front Room in theaters back in September, and sadly, the overall critic and audience response wasn't too great. What's even worse is that it didn't do well at the box office. The horror flick generated very low box office numbers,...

Snow White Live-Action Remake (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Guess what, Disney fans? The studio is finally diving into a live-action Snow White remake, and honestly, it’s about time. Given that the 1937 Og Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney’s first-ever animated feature, it’s wild that they waited that long. Probably, it’s because the original is such a classic; they might have been scared to mess with it. Either way, this upcoming remake has some big, glass-slipper-sized shoes to fill.
Moreover, the original wrote the Disney Princess playbook, so balancing nostalgia with fresh takes will be tricky. But we know Disney, so we should expect some magic and probably some spicy debate. What’s a remake without a bit of drama, right?
Learn everything about the Snow White remake.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, what’s the boldest gamble of them all? As Disney dives in with full force into the live-action trend, their upcoming remake of the iconic Snow White story has become quite the talk of the town. With a hefty $213 million budget, you might wonder if there’s more than just magic at play here.

Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler might not be thrilled with what popular gaming streamer Asmongold has to say about this ambitious project. He sees Disney’s venture as more of a shrewd strategy to preserve their control over the beloved tale rather than a bid to win the hearts of audiences.

Rachel Zegler stars as Snow White in Disney’s live action reimagining. Here’s the official trailer for the film. We wouldn’t post an unofficial one.
Rachel Zegler burst onto the scene as the star of Steven Spielberg’s 2021 remake of West Side Story, for which she won a Golden Globe. After appearing in Shazam! Fury Of The Gods and The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes, she now stars as the title character in Disney’s live action reimagining of Snow White. The original, made in 1937, is the first ever feature length animated film.
The synopsis for the new version now reads as follows:
Snow White is a live-action musical reimagining of the classic 1937 movie. The magical music adventure journeys back to the timeless story with beloved characters Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy.

Disney has revealed a new trailer for its upcoming live-action remake of Snow White starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, which arrives in theaters on March 21st, 2025.
The trailer signals Snow White to be a faithful adaptation of the 1937 animated film, itself an adaptation of the 1812 Brothers Grimm fairytale. Zegler stars as Snow White, a princess living with her evil stepmother The Queen (Gal Gadot) who rules the kingdom with an iron fist. Once Snow White is urged to flee into the woods by the Huntsman (Ansu Kabia), she ends up in a cottage surrounded by doting animals and seven (CGI) dwarves. Now armed with the help of her friends, Snow White attempts to restore light back into the kingdom. Watch the trailer below.
Disney originally unveiled the first trailer for Snow White at their D23 event in August, and has been teasing the new reimagining for multiple years now.

"The Queen is evil! You must flee into the woods." Yes that will solve everything! Disney has debuted their first full trailer for Snow White - the next "live-action" re-imagining of a classic animated movie, this one from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). Yet another one of these live-action mishaps to join Mufasa: The Lion King. This is even worse than the teaser, with heaps of cringey footage to gawk at. How did this pass QC?? Hard to watch this and not wonder "what have they done?!" "Disney invites you to return to the story that started it all..." The new trailer for Disney’s live-action remake of “Snow White” has officially released, showcasing more of Rachel Zegler’s vocals, the seven dwarfs and Gal Gadot’s villainous turn as the evil queen.
The film is directed by Marc Webb and is the latest Disney remake. Following the 1937 animated classic “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” this newest iteration of the story follows Snow White after the jealous wicked queen, who also happens to be her mother, orders her murder. Snow White runs away into a forest and discovers the magic of the seven dwarfs in a cottage.
After her film breakout in Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story,” Zegler returns to sing her heart out on the big screen. Gadot stars as the evil queen alongside Andrew Burnap, Martin Klebba and Ansu Kabia. The screenplay is written by Greta Gerwig (“Barbie”) and Erin Cressida Wilson (“The Girl on the Train...

Disney has been teasing out the new Lilo & Stitch live-action adaptation with a first look of the furry blue creature, then a teaser trailer showcasing Stitch rampaging through a series of sandcastles, which includes a sandcastle made to look like the famous Disney castle. In all my years covering movies and the entertainment space, i don't think I've ever see a movie suffer from one star as much as Disney's live-action Snow White. Rachel Zegler, who plays the titular princess in the upcoming live-action reimagination, has repeatedly put her foot in her mouth time and time again to the point where many have already completely written off the movie.
And after her latest tirade, I don't think there's anything Disney PR or the film's fellow stars can do to save it.
For those who aren't quite caught up in the latest drama, Zegler took to social media following the November 5th election and posted that she was "speechless" in anticipation of "another four years of hatred."
But it's not exactly what she said about Trump that pissed people off. She's not the first celebrity to express her anger or frustration toward Donald Trump. We're used to that by now.

After conquering the Dceu, riding shotgun in the Fast and Furious franchise, and taking hackers to task in Netflix’s Heart of Stone, Gal Gadot is locked into a race against time in director Kevin Madonald’s The Runner, an upcoming thriller set up at Amazon MGM Studios. David Kosse produces through his newly established Rockwood Pictures, with Amazon MGM Studios holding the worldwide rights.
Macdonald, whose films include One to One: John & Yoko, The Last King of Scotland, The Mauritanian, and more, directs The Runner from a script by Mark Gibson. D23 Brazil got underway on Friday, and a new trailer for Disney's live-action Snow White remake was screened for those in attendance.
Though it wasn't officially released (and most likely won't be), a couple of videos spotlighting snippets of footage have now leaked online.
Star Rachel Zegler introduced the teaser, which gives us a first glimpse of Andrew Burnap as Prince(?) Jonathan, and Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman. We also see quite a bit more of Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, who preferred her stepdaughter when she wasn't "so opinionated."
The footage is not the clearest (we'll update if a better version becomes available), but you can check out the clips and a new standee featuring Zegler as the titular Princess at the links below.

Othello, one of the greatest tragedy tales by William Shakespeare, is all set to return to the stages once again through Broadway. Set in Venice and Cyprus, it is widely regarded among the mastermind author’s major tragedies as it brings about the titular Moorish military commander’s story as he is manipulated by his ensign, Iago, into suspecting his wife Desdemona of infidelity.
Of course, as famous as it is, there have been innumerable other iterations of this play over the years. Multiple different star-studded actors have joined the cast of the same, and given epic performances that they continue to be renowned for. And now that Broadway is reviving the saga, a cast of critically applauded actors has once again united to give the performance of a lifetime.

Kathryn Hunter elevates everything she’s in, which goes double for a film as limp and directionless as The Front Room, the directorial debut of Max and Sam Eggers. A horror-thriller that might also be attempting comedy — it can be hard to tell — The Front Room begins with Belinda (Brandy) being forced to quit a job that undervalues her. She also has to contend with the mood swings of her husband Norman (Andrew Burnap). Then Norman’s eccentric stepmother re-enters their lives: Solange (Hunter), a self-professed psychic. She is meek and hunched over, uses two canes, and frequently soils herself — though she doesn’t let this stop her from overstepping Belinda’s personal boundaries.
What ought to be unnerving is mostly off-putting. The movie’s presentation is distant, and its animated, sitcom performances from Brandy and Burnap — which render Belinda and Norman broad and uninteresting — don’t match its attempted thrills.

The final moments of the “FBI: Most Wanted” Season 6 premiere found Fugitive Task Force leader Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott) breaking down after apprehending — and being attacked by — a serial killer who’d escalated to a sniper shooting spree.
“I wanted to start the season with a very scary, terrifying, dangerous, formidable fugitive,” showrunner David Hudgins told TheWrap of the psychotically mother-obsessed killer played by Andrew Burnap.
As for showing Remy recovering from his injuries and being comforted by girlfriend Abby (Susan Misner), Hudgins said, “I wanted to ground the show, because the truth is, this is a dangerous job. And it’s not often that you go unscathed your whole career. I thought it was a nice moment of vulnerability for him with Abby as well.”
Remy will be fine after being punched in the jaw and rouged up, Hudgins assured us, walking away with merely a temporary case of tinnitus.

Everyone’s favorite furry, blue alien is getting ready to make his live-action debut in theaters when Disney’s Lilo & Stitch arrives on May 23, 2025! Brazenly, that Memorial Day weekend is the same release window for Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible movie with Tom Cruise. While Lilo & Stitch targets parents and children, Mission: Impossible aims to please older male audiences, creating a divided but competitive box office face-off. Disney announced the release date for Lilo & Stitch alongside a date for its Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis-led sequel, Freakier Friday.
Disney‘s live-action Lilo & Stitch stars Maia Kealoha as Lilo in reimagining the mouse-eared studio’s 2002 animated classic. Other players include Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Courtney B. Vance, Sydney Agudong, and Chris Sanders as the voice of Stitch. Did you miss A24's latest horror film The Front Room when it hit theaters on Sept. 6? No worries! The movie has just landed on digital platforms, so now you can rent or purchase it to watch at home. We'll get more into the cost a little later. But first, let's discuss what the movie is about, who's behind it, and who's in the cast.
The Front Room is a psychological horror film written and helmed by Max and Sam Eggers in their feature film debut. Max had previously worked on the horror film The Lighthouse, co-writing the script with his brother Robert Eggers. Sam, on the other hand, is known for co-writing the script for the documentary Olympia with Harry Mavromichalis.
Like many other movies nowadays, The Front Room is based on another piece of work. In fact, it's based on the 2016 short story of the same name by Susan Hill.

Tucked away in a creaky old mansion, strange events start to unfold once Solange moves into the home of expectant couple Belinda and Norman. Directed by brothers Max and Sam Eggers, The Front Room introduces us to Belinda, a professor struggling in her career while awaiting the arrival of her baby. Her husband Norman is a lawyer who seems ill-equipped to handle the threat that soon enters their lives in the form of his formidable stepmother Solange.
Played with chilling effect by veteran actress Kathryn Hunter, Solange presents herself as a deeply devout Christian woman in declining health. However, it soon becomes clear she harbors ulterior motives for inserting herself into Belinda and Norman’s world that have little to do with faith.
While marketed as a psychological horror, the film takes on more comedic and bizarre tones. Right away we see it’s not your average scary movie experience.

What in the name of the father, son, and holy oh-my-lord? The Front Room is an audacious debut for brothers Max and Sam Eggers, spiking parent-in-law troubles with a pungent brand of psychological horror. Its evils are geriatric but no less despicable than eerie elderly examples like The Visit or The Taking of Deborah Logan. Religious devotion, bigoted intolerance, and stinky incontinence color this battle of the generations (as dictated by Susan Hill’s original short story). The Eggers duo tell a story rooted in familiar trappings as characters excuse red flags for financial compensation, and while that might seem ordinary, The Front Room boasts a secret weapon — one of the nastiest grannies on screen in a long while.
Musical superstar Brandy Norwood stars as Belinda, a Black anthropology professor with a baby bump. Her caucasian husband Norman (Andrew Burnap) works for a legal firm but is plenty of rungs down on the hierarchical ladder.

A very pregnant woman battles an overbearing stepmother-in-law in The Front Room, the directorial debut of Sam and Max Eggers. Belinda (Brandy Norwood) is with child and about ready to pop when her husband’s father passes away. At the funeral, her husband Norman (Andrew Burnap) is informed that his dad’s dying wish was for his son to take care of the elderly and ailing Solange (Kathryn Hunter), the late father’s wife and Norman’s estranged stepmother. Norman and Solange had a strained relationship, so he is dubious, but Belinda, ever the dutiful wife, convinces her husband that it’s the right thing to do and Solange moves in, setting in motion a series of unfortunate events and revelations that threaten not only the family’s sanity, but also...

Abbott and Costello. Laurel and Hardy. Martin and Lewis. Smothers and, you know, the other Smothers. The history of entertainment is filled with beloved comedy duos, whose personalities and performance styles either compliment or clash with each other perfectly. They are the stuff that whimsical legends are made of, and their hallowed halls may need to make room for a brand new iconic double act: Brandy Norwood and Kathryn Hunter.
“The Front Room” is a new horror-comedy from the twin Eggers Brothers, Sam and Max, whose older brother Robert directed the acclaimed horror films “The Witch” and “The Lighthouse.” Max Eggers has a co-writing credit on “The Lighthouse,” a bizarrely funny little nightmare about two horny men losing their minds together on a tiny island in the ocean — “Yer fond of me lobster! Say it! Say it! Say it!” — and it feels like a spiritual cousin to their newest effort.

If we live long enough, we won’t be spared from seeing the misfortunes of old age sneak into our bodies, unmercifully deteriorating the things — like healthy hair and intact teeth — we once took for granted. A mean-spirited, gross-out hagsploitation exercise co-written by first-time directors Max and Sam Eggers, “The Front Room” will only be tolerable if you find those aging-related hardships — incontinence, being chief among them — spooky and funny. Otherwise, with the exception of “The Tragedy of Macbeth” standout Kathryn Hunter’s fiercely committed performance, much of this well-designed but boring film yields a shrug.
Hunched, delirious and sporting a chewy drawl, Hunter craftily plays Solange, the nasty surprise who insinuates herself, not into someone’s body, but into her stepson Norman (Andrew Burnap) and his heavily pregnant wife Belinda’s (a convincing Brandy Norwood) modest house. With a “Daughters of the Confederacy” certificate and repeated insults she casually throws Belinda’s way,...

Max and Sam Eggers, siblings to Robert Eggers (The Witch, the upcoming Nosferatu), clearly appreciated the power of casting when selecting Brandy Norwood as the lead for their debut feature. Taking on her first substantial horror role since 1998’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, the iconic actress practically guarantees instant recognition for The Front Room, although the power of her performance alone would have been sufficient to assure attention for this oddball horror film.

Relatives are generally seen as just another fact of life, people who can either be a comfort, an annoyance, or a burden. Given the multi-faceted nature of people, it's typically some mixture of all three. Yet their burdens can quickly become quirks that get raised to the level of family mythology, a series of events, stories and inside jokes that only you and those related to you can chuckle at. Stuff like "Oops, Aunt Lydia stunk up the bathroom again" turns the chore-esque aspect of having relatives into something more manageable, even charming. Because, deep down, there's love there, and being human is not always an easy or smooth experience. But what if there wasn't any love? What if there was only hate, and not just run of the mill hate, but deep-seated, generational, bigoted hate?
That's just one of the themes explored by "The Front Room," the first feature...

When finding your angle on a film review, it can be helpful to use dialogue as inspiration. From brothers Max and Sam Eggers, A24’s “The Front Room” is a wildly inappropriate horror effort that offers several good options in this regard.
“Why can’t I Die?!”
“I’m a racist baby, goo-goo, gah-gah.”
“Stop crying for yourself.”
“Just…let me know who wins.”
“Are you Kidding me?”
Take your pick of those lines or combine a couple. Whatever you come up with won’t get close to the sheer ridiculousness in this bonkers co-directorial debut. Starring Brandy as the very pregnant Belinda, the Eggers twins’ first feature is a melodramatic fairytale about end-of-life caregiving, generational racism, and hating the literal shit out of your mother-in-law. This feces-centric film is better off not compared to the work of the filmmakers’ older brother, Robert Eggers; although, there are specks of surreal...

Blood may be thicker than bile, but it’s damn near impossible to deliver a bona fide fright classic fresh out the gate, even if you’re closely related to one of the genre’s leading torchbearers. With The Front Room, Max and Sam Eggers strive to lay claim to their own little corner of the horror genre, mixing light surrealism and gross-out humor for a blackly comic, ill-mannered romp whose parts are ultimately more compelling than the arthritic whole.
Anthropology professor Belinda (Brandy) isn’t looking forward to being a mother. Almost two years have gone by since A24 announced that production was underway on the psychological horror film The Front Room, with Brandy Norwood taking on the lead role and Max and Sam Eggers – the younger brothers of The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman director Robert Eggers – at the helm. Now we’re just weeks away from the film’s theatrical release date of September 6th (a date that puts it in direct competition with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), and a new trailer has dropped online. You can check it out in the embed above.
Based on a short story by Susan Hill, The Front Room has the following synopsis: Everything goes to hell for newly-pregnant Belinda (Brandy) after her mother-in-law (Kathryn Hunter) moves in. All hell moves in this coming Halloween season…
What’s particularly interesting about the psychological horror movie is that it’s directed by Max and Sam Eggers, the brothers of Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Northman)!
This will be the debut feature for the Eggers Brothers, in fact. Variety had recently reported, “They adapted the screenplay from Susan Hill’s short story of the same name.”

"She's taking over the house!" This looks nuts! A24 has revealed a second trailer for a horror thriller titled The Front Room, marking the feature directorial debut of the Eggers Brothers - Max & Sam. They're also brothers of the filmmaker Robert Eggers and worked with him on a few of those films, too. This new original horror film in ready to land theaters early in September. The Front Room is about a young, newly pregnant couple who must suddenly take in an ailing, estranged stepmother. A24 describes it as: the incomparable Brandy returns to horror in a legendary face-off against Kathryn Hunter, the wickedest mother-in-law of them all. Starring singer / actress Brandy Norwood as Belinda, with Andrew Burnap, Neal Huff, and Kathryn Hunter. This still looks a lot like Get Out, though I'm hoping that Brandy fights back and takes her down. Plenty of crazy Wtf shots in this new trailer!

Apparently, the creepy, chilling moods of Robert Eggers aren’t the only game in town. At least not the only Eggers game in town. Eggers may have “Nosferatu” coming as a major release in December, but his brothers Max Eggers and Sam Eggers—who have worked on some of his previous films—have their own movie coming out this fall titled, “The Front Room.”
Featuring Brandy Norwood, Andrew Burnap, Neal Huff, and Kathryn Hunter, “The Front Room” is a horror about motherhood and, essentially, two mothers battling for control of a newborn child.
