The film is the first film in which appeared the logo of "Mosfilm" with the image of the sculpture "Worker and Collective Farm Girl".
The film was shot utilizing the camera equipment, various sets, costumes, and props confiscated by the Soviet Red Army from the Nazi controlled UFA Studios. Many of the lavish theatrical set pieces and costumes came from Die Frau meiner Träume (1944), starring Marika Rökk.
Filming was conducted in Moscow and in Czechoslovakia at the film studio Barrandov.
Orlova in the film beats a tap on the same floor as Marika Ryokk in George Jacobi's film "The Girl of My Dreams": the films were shot in one pavilion.
