The young adult Nicole has what looks to be black skin mole just below and to the right of her left eye. When Schüler removes the bandage from Nicole as a child the mole is not there.
The scene where the bear attacks Monsieur Vanet (Donald Pleasance) is quite obviously a man in bear suit.
