The movie is in color. The television episode was in black and white. It was actually filmed in color but they made a black and white print for television. Also, there are scenes here that didn't appear on television.

Some of the music, including the main titles, was composed especially for the film by Morton Stevens. Stevens had scored the original television episode, so this wasn't a major adjustment. Norman Felton, the executive producer of the television series, had hoped for a completely new score by Jerry Goldsmith, but the composer wasn't available.
