The film features five cast members from the cult Canadian TV series 'SCTV', all appearing in small roles: Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Dave Thomas and John Candy. All had previously worked with director George Bloomfield, who directed early episodes of SCTV.
