There was an English version filmed with the same cast and crew, which was directed by Gregory Heller who would shoot his scene right after Jean Rollin. The English version has never been released and is now a lost film.
Jean Rollin said he met Italian actress Marina Pierro at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain. Later, her agent proposed Marina to him for the lead in this film and he agreed since he'd been very impressed with her. She had a strong personality, and that was what he needed for the character.
