Prologue: "This film is based upon a true story. Some of the events and characters have been fictionalized for dramatic purposes and the names have been changed. The story began in 1982 in Lafayette diocese, Louisiana. It is not over yet."
The film cast includes one Oscar winner: David Strathairn; and two Oscar nominees: Jack Warden and David Strathairn.
The film's theme is pedophilia and Dylan Baker is one of the film's stars. Baker would later play a suburban pedophile father in the film "Happiness" (1998).
