The entire sequence in the police station where Bade and Chhote Miyan impersonate police officers to free Sharafat Ali was a word-to-word copy of a scene from the Pakistani play "Humsa Ho To Samne Aye", written by and starring Pakistani legend Umer Shariff.
Although a guest appearance, this is the only time Madhuri Dixit managed to share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.
