The concept of crossovers is almost as old as TV itself. It's a good idea that can boost the viewership of two (or more!) shows, bringing audiences together and exposing them to another series they might like. Some crossovers are quite seamless and logical, such as the ones involving the Arrowverse and "CSI" franchises. Others are plain weird, like the time "Mr. Robot" met Alf or when "The X-Files" crossed over with the reality show "Cops" (or even the one time the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fought alongside the Power Rangers).
Another crossover that definitely belongs to the latter category is that one time "Bones" crossed over with "Sleepy Hollow," a rather unexpected event yet also one that felt like a full circle moment, seeing as both properties were already connected (in a way). Indeed, the main makeup design technicians on "Bones" were Chris Yagher and his brother Kevin Yagher,...

A super-meta, super-prescient skewering of the showbiz world, and in particular, the relatively primitive phenomena of celebrity reality TV, “The Comeback” looked destined for the status of one-season wonder when HBO pulled the plug in 2005. “I was aware that it was mainly straight, white guys who couldn’t watch it,” its star Lisa Kudrow later acknowledged, perhaps explaining how douchebro counterpart “Entourage” — whose ratings it often matched — was allowed to run for eight (plus a truly loathsome film).
Thankfully, after a nine-year period in which the show had been reevaluated as a cult classic, Kudrow and co-creator Michael Patrick King were afforded the opportunity to reintroduce their glorious comic creation, the egotistical yet strangely sympathetic enigma that is Valerie Cherish for a second season. That hurrah ran beginning November 9, 2014, and inspired the very opposite response to her well-worn catchphrase, “I don’t want to see that.”

NBC’s newest sitcom, St. Denis Medical, is still about a week away from its two-episode premiere, but if you’ve been watching literally any programming on the network, you’ve already been barraged with commercials that may have put you in the mood for a comedy that revolves around sick people and the professionals who look after them. While you kill time in the waiting room, here’s a selection of the best medical sitcoms you can stream instead. Doing so in a paper gown is optional.

There hasn't been a surer big screen bet in Hollywood over the last 30-plus years than James Cameron -- though he doesn't always make it easy on the studio footing the bill for his latest film on the way to the multiplex. Since recovering from his only true box office disappointment in 1989's "The Abyss" (which also happens to be his best movie), Cameron has been on the hook for The Most Expensive Movie Ever Made at least three times. Studio heads try their mightiest to never wind up holding that bag, but they also don't want to be the clown that said no to Cameron only to watch the maestro take his nine-figure "gamble" across town, where it becomes The Highest Grossing Movie Ever Made (a peak Cameron has summited twice) for their competitor.
Given the exorbitant price tags of his movies, Cameron places additional pressure on the studio...

The formula ain’t broke, and CBS’s latest addition to its beloved “NCIS” franchise, focused on young Agent Gibbs, doesn’t plan to fix it.
“NCIS” is one of the jewels in the crown of the CBS network. It’s a well-oiled machine of naval-related crime-solving that has remained one of the most-viewed shows on television for over two decades. The series that started it all way back in 2002 is 22 seasons in and has outlasted three of its four spin-offs. It only makes sense for the network to keep that good ship moving forward, even though surely they’ve run out of navy-specific murders to solve at this point. Maybe that’s why this new series is a prequel, focusing on the franchise’s original hero, Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
“NCIS: Origins” opens on a two-parter (now tradition for this franchise) that reintroduces audiences to Gibbs. Mark Harmon,...

911 may be planning a new spinoff, and there are a lot of cities that could be terrific for the show!
911 has been doing well since jumping from Fox to ABC last year. Sadly, 911: Lone Star is being canceled after five seasons. However, this is not the end of the franchise as producer Ryan Murphy has confirmed he's planning another spinoff, telling Variety he has plans.

They obviously have an appetite for that, so we're going to give them another one that I really love.

Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer has become one of the most wanted Shonen series of the new generation that has taken the world by storm. The series was first released in 2106 and received an anime adaptation, which has become a massive name in the anime industry as well.

The story is set in the Taishō period in Japan, which features great historical accuracy, and next-tier animation quality just added to the popularity of the show. Hence, some members of the Otaku community even called the title the very definition of peak fiction.
However, it looks like Gotouge-Sensei’s magnum opus might not be an original idea, as an influencer shared how the mangaka might have been inspired by Fullmetal Alchemist. Though the statement sounds crazy, once the fans see the uncanny resemblance between the two titles, they can’t unsee it for the rest of eternity.

Turns out, the "Mare of Easttown" parody that's already become synonymous with Marvel's new show "Agatha All Along" was originally intended for its parent series, "WandaVision." As showrunner Jac Schaeffer explained to The Wrap, the whole thing actually originated as a "CSI" homage episode of "WandaVision" that ended up falling by the wayside after the show's writers honed in on the sitcom format. As a result, she kept the idea tucked away and ended up using it for the "Agatha" series premiere instead.
"It was always the design that ['Agatha'] would start with this true crime episode," Schaeffer told the outlet while discussing the first two episodes of the "WandaVision" spinoff. "That was an idea that I had when I pitched 'WandaVision,'" she continued. "It was going to be the eighth episode of 'WandaVision,' that was going to be like a 'CSI' episode,...

The changes at “Chicago Med” aren’t only in front of the camera. Season 10 won’t only look different but may feel different as longtime showrunners Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider exited at the end of Season 9.
Allen MacDonald, who previously worked on “ER,” “CSI” and “13 Reasons Why,” among others, will fill the very big shoes — and is bringing a new tone to the show.

And I just want to build on top of that, because I love telling stories that are emotional,” he tells Variety. “But I believe that if I’m bringing a unique brand of storytelling to the show, it is to continue the emotion of the characters in their interactions, but I also like bringing humor.

Why Agatha All Along Chose Not to Address WandaVision's Quicksilver - Main Image
It’s easy to forget that Wanda Maximoff had a twin brother Pietro since he died in the film that he was introduced in, but WandaVision had brought a version of Pietro back in the form of Evan Peters.
While fans have wondered what Peters getting cast in the role could mean for the Marvel multiverse, it ultimately didn’t lead to anything, and Ralph Bohner was considered to be one of the worst things about WandaVision. Even if that was the case, Quicksilver still had some influence in the spinoff Agatha All Along.
Why Quicksilver Was Dropped from Agatha All Along

While we're pretty confident in saying that Agatha All Along's Teen is really Billy Maximoff, the mystery surrounding the character has hooked fans.
In the second episode, Joe Locke's character goes to tell Agatha Harkness his name but it's hidden by a sigil that appears across his mouth. Later, he recounts his past but the witch is unable to hear any of what he's saying, creating yet another big mystery.
Talking to The Wrap, Agatha All Along showrunner and director Jac Schaeffer was asked about the sigil which looks an awful lot like an "M."
"I think the idea behind the sigil was a variety of things. We really loved doing the runes in 'WandaVision,' which was then carried into Doctor Strange's world," she explained. "So it was a thing that was in our witchy playbook, that was carried forward in the MCU. And so we...

Spoiler Warning: This story includes major plot details in the first two episodes of “Agatha All Along,” currently streaming on Disney+.
In the wake of the runaway success of “WandaVision” in 2021, the show’s creator, Jac Schaeffer, immediately got to work on coming up with her next streaming series for Marvel Studios. But she found it difficult to escape her first show’s setting and one of its residents in particular: Agatha Harkness, the insidious, perfidious witch, played to the hilt by Kathryn Hahn, who fails in her attempt to steal the power of the Scarlet Witch.
“Everything I developed, I was like, ‘And then in Episode 5, they have to go to Westview for whatever reason, and this is where they run into Agatha,’” Schaeffer tells Variety. “I just couldn’t stop. I love that world.”
Eventually, Schaeffer realized that her next Marvel show should just be about Agatha, and Marvel Studios was,...

Note: The following article contains “Agatha All Along” spoilers for the premiere episode.
“Agatha All Along” is here and bringing a whole lot of witchiness to the MCU. But the premiere episode also brought several questions with it.
Now streaming on Disney+, the new series picks up three years after the events of “WandaVision,” back in Westview. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is long gone but Agatha Harkness is still there, trapped in Wanda’s spell.
When we find her again, she believes she’s Agnes O’Connor, a grizzled detective in the vein of Kate Winslet’s character from “Mare of Easttown”. But an old colleague in the form of Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza) and a mysterious newcomer (Joe Locke) are determined to break her free.
When they succeed, Agatha realizes exactly who she is and how much power she no longer has — and who’s after her now. There...

CBS’ new daytime drama series “Beyond The Gates” has cast soap alums Karla Mosley and Daphnee Duplaix as “Dani Dupree” and “Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson,” respectively, daughters of the Dupree family matriarch, “Anita,” played by “As The World Turns” alum Tamara Tunie (ex-Jessica Griffin).
A former model turned “momager” who gave up her career for love, Dani (Mosley) is the Dupree family’s wild child, who’s also free-spirited, headstrong and uninhibited. Dropping out of school to pursue a high-flying modeling career, she has always marched to the beat of her own drum. Meanwhile, Nicole (Duplaix) exudes warmth, empathy and compassion. Although her seemingly perfect life includes being married to a surgeon husband, not everything is as it appears on the outside… inside.

As for Dani and Nicole’s mother, Antia (Tunie) is the family’s matriarch who at one time was a famous singer.

Modern Family‘s Eric Stonestreet was allegedly nasty to a podcast host, exposing a very different side to him away from his character, Cameron Tucker. The character won over audiences with his creative flair and incredibly empathetic nature in the series. However, Taylor Strecker called him the worst guest on her podcast.

Stonestreet is far from the lovable gay character in the fan-favorite sitcom. He light-heartedly described himself as “openly straight” and shared in another instance that his real-life persona came off as deadpan when compared to a cheerful Cam. Even Stonestreet admitted that he often disappointed Modern Family fans.

You can find plenty of paid services in the world of streaming apps. But you can also find some pretty great free ones too. We’re here to talk about those Fast services.
Eight Fast services offer all the movies and TV shows you can handle for the cost of watching a few ads during your show. It may seem like an inconvenience for some. But with the rising living costs, most of us are looking for ways to save a few bucks.
Ads may seem the worst to younger generations with short attention spans. But for us viewers with the legendary status of pre-Y2K, we cut our teeth on random commercial breaks during our favorite shows — many that are available on these Fast services.

Quentin Tarantino has been fortunate enough to film a few episodes of some of his favorite television programs. But doing so seems to quickly ruin his enjoyment of the same shows he used to watch.

Tarantino has decided to lend his expertise in filmmaking to a couple of shows. He filled in as a guest director for the television series CSI in the 2000s. He helmed the two-parter season 5 finale “Grave Danger,” which he also ended up writing as well. He also faced little difficulty adapting to the limitations of network television than some might think, especially thanks to his admiration of the show.
“It wasn’t a challenge in that regard because … I like the show,” Tarantino once told Today. “I just wanted to do my episode of it. So the format was all the stuff I embrace.

Elsbeth stands out because it is one of the only lighthearted mysteries on television, but it never used to be that way.
These types of mysteries were extremely popular in the 1980s and 1990s. Murder She Wrote, Diagnosis: Murder, and Matlock were all top-rated shows, and that trend continued into the early 2000s when Monk and Psych captivated viewers.
Modern television is more likely to feature realistic, gritty police procedurals than lighthearted mysteries, but Elsbeth’s success suggests the tide could be turning back again.

It’s hard to imagine a time when Ted Danson wasn’t on TV. After all, he spent a whopping 11 seasons playing Sam Malone on Cheers, six years as Dr. John Becker on Becker, and, more recently, took on the part of a 6,000-foot tall tentacled fire demon who's taken on the form of a 6-foot-2 silver fox in The Good Place.
Not to mention the fact that he regularly popped up on Curb Your Enthusiasm, effortlessly inhabiting what was perhaps his greatest role to date: Ted Danson.
Now Danson has a brand new show coming out: A Man on the Inside. While it may sound like the title of a self-help book written by Tobias Fünke, it’s actually a new Netflix comedy that reteams Danson with The Good Place and Parks and Recreation producer Mike Schur.

“I keep slipping into Valerie Cherish, don’t I?” Meredith Hagner has done plenty of press in her career, particularly for her breakout role in Search Party and the Vacation Friends franchise, but this is the first time she’s sat down for a meal and really rehashed her full biography with a recorder running. She’s concerned she’s trafficking in the same acting cliches as Lisa Kudrow’s famously deluded character in The Comeback.
But the cliches along the 37-year-old’s career path sound novel. They’re almost from another time. She moved to New York from North Carolina after graduating high school on the promise of an unpaid job in a Fringe Fest play. She slept on a hand-me-down hospice bed (with rollers!) that her grandmother had just died in. And, to pay rent on the railroad apartment she shared with a server at cringe tourist trap Jekyll & Hyde Club,...

On August 17, 2024, NBC’s “Dateline” presents the gripping episode titled “Point Blank,” airing at 9/8c. Keith Morrison will delve into the murder of Todd Chance, a case that took years to unravel despite a trail of crucial surveillance footage. The episode explores the chilling reality that Todd’s wife, Leslie Jenea Chance, may have meticulously planned his murder.
In the summer of 2013, Todd and Leslie Chance, along with their children, embarked on a trip to Las Vegas. Their vacation included a visit to a CSI-themed crime exhibit, a seemingly innocent outing that would later take on a sinister significance. Todd, a beloved father and husband, was discovered dead on August 25, 2013, in an almond grove near Bakersfield, California. His murder involved multiple gunshots, and his missing car was initially suspected to be a case of carjacking. However, the vehicle was soon found abandoned with the keys and his gun inside,...

Hollywood actor Gabriel Olds, who has appeared in dozens of supporting television and film roles over the past several decades, was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning and charged with seven counts of sexual assault, according to local authorities, who said they are seeking out other possible victims or witnesses in a series of alleged attacks that date back to over a decade ago.
Olds, 52, was taken into custody in the Crestwood Hills area of Los Angeles after the L.A. Superior Court issued a warrant for his arrest for $3.5 million in July. The district attorney had charged him with seven counts of sexual assault after a 41-year-old woman reported that he’d raped her in her L.A. home; following the woman’s report, two other women came forward to police saying Olds had raped them in incidents dating back to 2013, according to a press release from the LAPD.
