It's the 25th anniversary of Spy vs Spy!
This game was brilliantly programmed by Mike Reidel, who also did the artwork.
The original music was by Nick Scarim.
Over the past 25 years, there have been hundreds of remixes of the original theme music (do a search on Google) in every conceivable genre - from trance to orchestral to hard rock. Contemporary bands mixing techno with hard rock - like Ghostland Observatory, for example - find themselves referenced by comparisons to the 1984 SID-chip soundtrack to Spy vs Spy! Apparently there are plenty of music reviewers who grew up playing this particular computer game.
The composer Nick Scarim lives in New York City and frequently plays downtown clubs with the rock band Vintage6.
