It is a good timepass movie. Many will say its copy, many will say its boring, but it was my childhoods favourite movie, now also i watch it if it comes on tv, my favourite scene is when the main lead rebuilts the car, i love it, and i love that car tho....

This movie was made to showcase the car and the car seriously looks awesome. But the concept they choose to promote the car is wrong.
A car designer is killed by some cunning business men his car. Later his son rebuilds with new design. The man returns as a ghost, uses this car to take revenge.
Ideally there should have been 2 different stories made. One for showcasing car abilities like power, comfort, style etc and another for the concept of car driven by a ghost (2 movies). Why so? Please read..
The movie shows that car repairs itself, it goes sideways, does some acrobatic stunts. Of course that happens because of the ghost but then the actual abilities of the car get hidden. Also, car generates too much of smoke at very speed. Another movie was released just few days after this movie and promoted bikes(Dhoom). That movie became superhit but this movie was a disaster. The car didn't become famous as the movie didn't work. The movie concept is not ideal for promotion.
But the movie concept isn't bad. It has very high entertainment quotient. Then why the most didn't work? Because of illogical sequences and many loop holes.
Our hero is a college student who is struggling to meet his daily needs. His boss in garage is very strict and can deduct salary for any uninformed leave. But he finances our hero to build the car? Why? Emotions? Doesn't make sense. Then after making the car what our hero does? Starts roaming in the city in the car. No other use of that design. His garage boss also doesn't say anything. This is the biggest flaw in the story according to me.
Ideally our hero should have showcased that car to get some job as car designer. His financial situation would have been improved. Then only remaining scenes would have made sense.
There are many other loop holes that you can see on YouTube. Many people have pointed them.
If you ignore all these logical mistakes and watch the movie, you will enjoy it a lot. There isn't any dull moment in the movie.
The movie deserves only 3 stars but gave 1 extra star for that awesome car

Taarzan: The Wonder Car is a supernatural action thriller film directed by Abbas-Mustan. The film stars Vatsal Sheth, Ayesha Takia, Farida Jalal, Pankaj Dheer, Late Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Late Amrish Puri, Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Rajpal Yadav, Deepak Shirke and Mukesh Tiwari.
A car mechanic revamps the car of his deceased father and names it Tarzaan. The spirit of his father comes into the car and the car starts to take revenge with his murderers.
The film which was dubbed as a child's film and now attained a 'cult classic' status will surely a treat to watch for the kids but for adult the film might be a little tedious to watch primarily because of the cliched, uneven and sluggish screenplay.
The plot of the film is fresh but the execution is average, the duo of Abbas-Mustan who is known as one of the most prominent directors when it comes to thriller films but fails a little bit with this film and the film turns out to be another stereotypical predictable film.
Acting is pathetic from both the lead actors and since it was the debut film for both of them we can see the immaturity in their acting. Ajay Devgn was the most impressive of them all along with Sadashiv Amrapurkar. Amrish Puri and Gulshan Gorver deserved a little more screen space. We have seen Farida Jalal portraying many such roles and she was decent. Pankaj Dheer, Shakti kapoor and Manoj Tiwari were average. Jeetu Verma and Rajpal Yadav can make you laugh.
Climax of the film is predictable and doesn't excites much, songs and BGM are average.
Overall an average film but still can be watched once.

Abbas-Mustan often known for copying English films comes up with a remake of CHRISTINE but sadly humanizes the car too much and adds a mystery of Ajay's soul in the car which is too old fashioned
The first half and all the college scenes are very badly handled, the leg scene of Ayesha and the car scene and all her skimpy outfits scenes are repulsive and actually don't go with what she says that she will never wear skimpy clothes, you know how much they lie?
Anywayz the car taking revenge part is interesting though filmy and the murder of Mukesh Tiwari is nicely handled but the rest murders are badly handled and with the hamming of the villains it's even worse
Actually the villains comes across as jokers esp Shakti, Sadashiv
The handling of the past Ajay Devgan's scenes are too in your face filmy and clichéd
Even the entire Pankaj Dheer scenes where he says he won't marry Ayesha to Vatsal and the entire climax is 80's style
Direction is faulty Music is good
Vatsal tries hard but fails to emote and comes across as struggling to hard Ayesha is good but irritates at times Ajay is as usual Mukesh Tiwari is decent Sadashiv, Deepak Shirke and Shakti ham like no day Gulshan irritates with his fund a Rajpal is funny at times, while Farida is as usual

This Sunday I watched Tarzon - The Wonder Car once again with my children. I have watched it a number of times and my children are also sailing in the same boat. This is a movie which I could not see in the theatre which I will always regret because the special effects are a treat to watch on the big screen. This is a movie enjoyable not only by the kids but the grown-ups also.
Abbas-Mustan have tried to be the Alfred Hitchcock of Hindi cinema over the past two decades. They make Hollywood style thrillers by borrowing the plots from the Hollywood itself. However this is the only movie made by them which has a supernatural tinge. And quite naturally, it contains a number of special effects too. The hero of this movie is virtually a car. Talented car designer, Ajay Devgan is murdered by some evil businessmen who drown him alongwith the car designed by him. His son Vatsal Seth grows up with the hardships of life and becomes a mechanic in the garage of Amrish Puri while carrying on with his education simultaneously. One day he sees the car designed by his father in scrap condition. He buys the scrap and renovates the car with a lot of toil and dedication, of course, with the help of the benevolent and kind-hearted Amrish Puri. After the car becomes new afresh and starts treading the roads, Ajay's soul gets into it, turning it into a wonder car (named as Tarzan) which is all set to inflict revenge upon his killers. After all the baddies are killed (one of them being the father of Ayesha Takia, the college-mate of Vatsal and his love-interest), Ajay's soul comes before his son and blesses him.
As I have asserted in the paragraph above, the real hero of this movie is the special car itself which is said to have been created with a huge cost (much more than the money paid to the lead actors of the movie). The special effects associated with the car are just marvellous. The tricky movements of the car, teaching a lesson first to the opponents of the hero in the college and thereafter seeking revenge from the murderers of his father, are hilarious. This is the thing which gives this movie a repeat value. It can be watched any number of times for the adventures of the car. Both Abbas-Mustan and the action director deserve a pat on their back for the magic created on the screen through this car.
The movie is quite engrossing and devoid of any type of boredom. Even the romantic angle between the teeny bopper pair is interesting and lovable with both of them having innocence on their faces. The comedy by Amrish Puri, Rajpal Yadav and certain other characters provides required relief. Even with the comedy and the romance, the movie would have scored because the car's adventures themselves are enough to entertain the audience for its most of the part.
The music composed by Himesh Reshammia is quite good. The picturization of the songs is also praiseworthy. All the technical and production value aspects of the movie are up to the mark.
The performances are good. Both Vatsal and Ayesha are in their teens and they look quite charming. Alongwith them, all the baddies and the actors playing their college-mates have done quite well. The Ajay Devgan in his cameo and Amrish Puri as the Sikh garage owner with Gulshan Grover as the investigating police officer are natural. Rajpal Yadav as the police constable is able to make the viewers laugh time and again whenever the investigation for a new murder takes place.
Tarzan - The Wonder Car was a flop which will always remain a big surprise for me because it has everything that entertains the viewers, children and adults alike. It's a movie that provides wholesome entertainment. I recommend it to all the movie buffs seeking a complete entertainment of two and a half hours.

This movie is spelled as Taarzan, not Tarzan. I always used to subconsciously connect Taarzan movie with Tarzan but they are way different. Different like salt and sugar are. Tarzan or any of its asset has nothing to do with this Taarzan movie. This is one my childhood's best movies and not just me, more than me, my brother was addictively obsessed with this movie. The car used in Taarzan movie was just wow experience for that time. We felt all the big names-Bentley, BMW, etc falling behind this weird but favorite supercar. The movie was so good but unfortunately, Vatsal Sheth failed to do better projects apart from Hostel. Also in this movie, Taarzan is the name of that wonder car.

Re watched this movie after a long time and Enjoyed it like we used to enjoy in childhood. Don't know why it has such a low rating. Sometimes I can't understand why people have to show that they know everything and rate movies based on if it has some logic or not. Its a movie, even children know its not real.
Anyways, the effects in the movie were amazing for its time and everyone used to enjoy the movie, From children to Adults and we know the 2 biggest reasons ;).
I don't have anything else to write at the moment but I have to use atleast 600 words, so this paragraph is just for time pass. Feels like I am writing for an exam and have to complete 600 words. Lol. Childhood all over again.
