This could be a plot device: When Ben Garvey wakes from the dream of his father's suicide, In three different shots, he and Lisa alternate from left to right side of the bed. Additionally, Ben is looking at the same injury on alternate hands.
When Ben Garvey is going out of the car, awaiting the tour from the priest, you see his shirt and jacket is soaking wet. In the next scene it is dry.

When Ben finds his computer file, the image of the implant clearly says "Selegine Implant - MAO Inhibitor". This drug does exist but is spelt "Selegiline".
When Ben is looking at the computer file, the text associated with his record is not the same as shown in the closeup. The standard placeholder text used in graphic design and publishing known as "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, ...etc" is shown in the wide shots.
Dundee, Oregon and Mt. Angel, Oregon are about 30 miles away from each other and separated by I-5. They aren't in the same community.
When a dog suddenly appears and is eventually befriended by Ben, it follows him around presumably leaving paw-prints all over the place (particularly since it was often raining), yet later when Ben is told by the manager of the psychiatric institute that there couldn't have been any dog because animals were not permitted, all Ben would have had to do was to calculatingly arrange for the manager to see some of the paw-prints, thereby exposing the lie.
During the interview after Ben is told he is a patient, a boom mic dips over his head.
