Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaDwayne Johnson (The Rock) appears as his own father, Rocky Johnson. When "Rocky" tells Red (Kurtwood Smith) that he also has a kid, Dwayne (in character) is talking about himself. Finally, "Rocky" says that his son (Dwayne) would become "the most electrifying man in sports entertainment", which is how the media usually refers to Dwayne (The Rock).
- GoofsThe main characters attend a WWF wrestling card. In the time frame of the show the WWF was known as The World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF). It was promoted only in the Northeast. Wisconsin would have been part of the territory for the American Wrestling Association (AWA), promoted by Verne Gagne. The earliest WWF show in Wisconsin was held on April 18, 1985.
- Quotes
Eric Forman: Mr. Johnson, you gave that team of midgets an ass-whupping, sir!
Rocky Johnson: You pile-drive a little guy and the whole crowd turns on you. And when you're standing there, wondering what they're booing about, you get bit on the kneecaps. Look at my knees! Midget bites!
Reginald Red Forman: I wonder if you'd mind giving my son an autograph.
Rocky Johnson's Manager: No. No autographs.
Reginald Red Forman: Look, pal. I might be the only guy in here who's actually killed a man.
Rocky Johnson's Manager: Give the kid an autograph. And then, no more autographs.
Rocky Johnson: That's really nice, bringing your kid to a wrestling match. You know, I've got a son. And one day, he's gonna become the most electrifying man in sports entertainment.
Reginald Red Forman: Yeah, good luck with that. Wanna make that out to Red Forman?
Eric Forman: No. I don't think so. It's Eric Forman. Capital E, r-i-c.
Reginald Red Forman: Yeah, but see, his nickname is Red.
Eric Forman: No, it's not. It's Eric.
Reginald Red Forman: Stop kidding around, Red!

As for the other goof, it's completely accurate. The WWF was, at the time, known as the WWWF (World Wide Wrestling Federation). This actually could've been worked into the dialog of the show itself, with one of the characters commenting about how it's a "real pain in the a$$" to actually SAY "W.W.W.F.", and that they should just "drop one of those d**n W's!"
