Metallica have announced the release of single-day tickets for the two-night stands on the 2025 North American leg of their ongoing “M72 World Tour.”

As they’ve done the past couple years on the “M72 World Tour,” Metallica are set to play two completely unique sets in certain cities over two nights, including Toronto (April 24th & 26th); Nashville, Tn (May 1st & 3rd); Philadelphia (May 23rd & 25th); Tampa, Fl (June 6th & 8th); Santa Clara, CA (June 20th & 22nd); and Denver (June 27th & 29th).

The winter break is now officially in full swing. The broadcast shows are on their breaks, and some for a few months. The good news is that some shows will be back early in the new year.

There’s a great mixture of returning and new dramas and comedies in January 2025. Happy’s Place and Lopez vs. Lopez kicks things off in early January on NBC, and then the end of the month will see the return of most of the CBS dramas.

ABC is a bit of a mixed bag. While some dramas will either start or return in January 2025, we’ll have to wait until March for the return of Tgit. However, there are some reality shows and game shows to look forward to while we wait. Now you just need to decide what you want to watch.

Perhaps one of the most unexpected yet perfect relationships in Hollywood was the one the late legendary Robin Williams shared with the late and equally legendary Christopher Reeve. As reported , the title tune will be featured as the opening theme for the winter 2025 TV anime The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World . She herself wrote the lyrics of the song, while Chiyomaru Shikura, who has collaborated with her since her debut single "Open Your Eyes" ( Occultic;Nine ending theme) in 2016, worked on music. RaMell Ross’ Nickel Boys and Malcolm Washington’ The Piano Lesson dominated the nominations for the 25th Black Reel Awards with 13 and 12 noms, respectively. The films will square off in 10 categories including Outstanding Film, Director, Screenplay and Ensemble.

Ice Nine Kills have announced a Spring 2025 headlining US tour surrounding their previously announced dates supporting Metallica.

The “The Silver Scream-a-Thon” headlining tour will see Ice Nine Kills performing 2018’s The Silver Scream and its 2021 sequel The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood in their entireties over two nights in each city, along with some deep cuts and new material. The headlining shows kick off April 30th and May 1st in Raleigh, North Carolina, and run through June 11th and 12th in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Any “Twin Peaks” fan worth their garmonbozia knows Episode 8 of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s revival season “The Return,” from 2017, is the visual and thematic standout. The first trailer for the third season of acclaimed adult animated series, Invincible, is expected to debut during Ccxp at some point tomorrow, but Prime Video mistakenly shared it on the streaming site a little early.

The teaser was quickly taken down, but not before some audio and quite a few high-quality screenshots were posted online.

Like yesterday's poster, it looks like the trailer is going to give away quite a few major plot points, including the fact that Mark Grayson and Cecil Steamman ultimately become enemies after some particularly shady dealings from the latter.

None of this will come as a surprise to anyone who's read the comics, but just in case, here's a spoiler warning.

Burroughs (the author of the original Queer novel), Reznor and Ross’ score adds depth and color to the Daniel Craig-starring film, capped off with the original song “Vaster Than Empires,” featuring Brazilian singer Caetano Veloso.

There was a significant gap (over two years) between the first and second seasons of Prime Video's Invincible, but we had been assured that the wait for season 3 wouldn't be as long, which was recently confirmed via the release of the first teaser.

Gay or lesbian characters weren't wholly visible on the series, and dating couples tended to fall into the heteronormative. Near the end of his life in the early 1990s, "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry once idly mused that he'd like to depict two background male characters holding hands in a romantic way, but that's hardly a great spearhead for a progressive ideal.

Coming off of “Challengers,” which was released earlier this spring, Luca Guadagnino is back for his second film of 2024 with “Queer.” The filmmaker’s latest stars Daniel Craig as William Lee, a fictionalized stand-in for author William S. Burroughs, whose slender novel the movie is based on.

The movie premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and later played the New York Film Festival and BFI London Film Festival. A24 acquired the domestic distribution rights to the movie, with Mubi releasing the movie internationally.

Actress Jeri Ryan is best known for her role as Seven of Nine, the former Borg who was last seen in the final season of Star Trek: Picard. Introduced in the spinoff series Voyager, Seven returned to the franchise with Picard, which was surprisingly a crew that she had not interacted with before, but the show made it work.

Star Trek is a show filled with tropes, concepts, and ideas that are reused every single time. There's always the "leader" character, be it a captain or the head of the lower decks. There's always a "Spock" character; the one who doesn't emit emotions normally. There's always the science one, the pilot, the comedic relief, etc.

Just because a character fills a whole in the playbook that is Star Trek, doesn't mean they are alike. Which is what we're touching on today. Screenrant published an article where they compare Seven of Nine to T'Lyn. A rather out-there comparison, but it was made worse by saying that T'Llyn is the "new" Seven of Nine.

Which is a weird thing to say. As Seven of Nine was always Seven of Nine and until this very day, I always thought T'Lyn was T'Lyn.

The early 1980s were a tough time for Saturday Night Live. After Lorne Michaels and the remaining members of the original Not Ready for Prime Time Players left at the end of Season Five, an all-new cast starred in a truncated Season Six before they were all fired — save for two breakout stars: Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo.

With the departing cast members went new showrunner Jean Doumanian, who was replaced by Dick Ebersol for Seasons Seven through 10 (Michaels returned in Season 11). Ebersol was a controversial figure at SNL, as the show struggled to regain its cultural relevance during his reign and suffered from frequent cast turnover.

In the "Star Trek: Picard" series finale "The Last Generation", the villain was exploded and most of the heroes were rescued. Tragically, the cantankerous-but-resolute Captain Liam Shaw (Todd Stashwick) was killed on board his ship, the Titan-a, inspiring a wave of ambivalence from his first officer, Commander Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan). Seven was never respected by Captain Shaw; he felt her Borg implants made her an enemy and he would always deadname her, calling her the name she had before she was assimilated.

After Captain Shaw's death, however. Seven was put in command of the Titan-a on his posthumous recommendation (he left a recording). The ship was re-christened the Enterprise-g and "Picard" ended with a tease of a spinoff series starring Ryan. "Star Trek: Picard" showrunner Terry Matalas made no secrets that he was deliberately using the final episode to tease an additional "Star Trek" spinoff he intended to call "Star Trek: Legacy.

BBC Studios’ Scripted Formats, Documentaries Head Abroad

BBC Studios Global Entertainment has licensed the drama “Doctor Foster” and comedy series “Ghosts” in Greece. The former, a BAFTA-winning psychological drama about a doctor whose outwardly perfect life implodes after she discovers her husband has been unfaithful, will star Marilita Lambropoulou in the lead role and Nikos Kouris as her husband. The original series was written and created by Mike Bartlett and produced by Drama Republic. It has already been successfully adapted in France, Japan, the Philippines, Slovakia, South Korea, Mena and Turkey. ANT1 TV and Silverline Media Productions will produce the Greek version.

“Ghosts,” originally produced by Monumental Television in association with Them There for BBC One, turns on a young couple that inherit a haunted mansion. Celebrated Greek screenwriter Theodore Petropoulos is penning the local adaptation, which Tanweer Productions will produce. It will air on Star Channel in autumn 2025.

Hugh Jackman may be the “Greatest Showman,” but now he has a show-woman counterpart: Kate Hudson.
