An invigorated and upbeat Miss Farnaby decides it's time to host a Dinner party, she and Mulberry are thrilled, Burt and Alice are not. Mulberry receives a visit from The Stranger, and his motive for being at The House is revealed.
Is this the best episode so far, you could certainly make a case, this was a great thirty minutes, funny, charming, and revealing, that twist came out of nowhere, as always there's a fine streak of black humour.
Loved that scene where The Stranger finally makes his plans known, for a sitcom, in particular, a sitcom from the nineties, this was bold, and totally original.
Lots of funny scenes, Howman looked wonderfully grotesque in that suit, and I loved seeing Burt and Alice forced to make up for their fiddling.
McEwan did look rather lovely in that dress, she has looked so dowdy throughout, was nice to see her in a bit of sparkle.
9/10.
