Contracts for filming these series were signed with municipality Maastricht and police region Limburg-Zuid in November 2006.
Seasons 3 and 4 were shot simultaneously, in summer 2009.
With the airing of the 13th season in 2018/2019, the series surpassed Baantjer as the longest running Dutch crime drama. Coincidentally, both shows starred Victor Reinier.
