On February 15th, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj will both be returning to the Grammys — and both will be vying to take home their first trophy. Like Patti Smith (one nomination), Nas (11) and Snoop Dogg (17), neither has won a gramophone of his or her own. Here's a rundown of the pop stars, punk icons and rock geniuses whose work has never been recognized by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Will Simon Cowell be softer now that he's a loved-up father? Will the Walliams bromance live on for another series? And how long will we have to wait for a ballroom dancing poodle? These are all questions we need answering. And answering pronto.
So thank the lord and Amanda Holden, Bgt is back. Make sure you stick with Digital Spy throughout the first auditions show as we'll be live-tweeting and blogging all the action and the funniest reactions from you guys.

It was a brutal Winter (of our discontent), but it's finally Spring and there's plenty of new music to thaw even the most solid block of plowed snow. Here are ten of my favorite new rock/pop/dance/funk/folk tunes. Let us begin with this tremendous track (and album) from one of my favorite folk-rock singer/songwriters, the former New Yorker and now L.A.-based David Poe. Here he shares his muse on his debut single "When I Fly" from his soon-to-be-released long player When I Fly. Check him out on tour, too.
Nsfw aside, the "Leeches" video -- directed by Jessica Lauretti of the band This Frontier Needs Heroes -- is just one of the infectious tracks from the Shoulders album released by the terrifically talented singer/songwriter/composer Pt Walkley, who just happens to hail from NYC. So there.

Few modern musicians’ discographies have been anthologized and compiled as exhaustively as Morrissey’s, thanks to the many Morrisseyisms he unleashed during his inspired run in the 1980s with the Smiths and over a solo career that now spans more than a quarter century. But even the most ardent completists can be guilty of favoritism for selected tracks and eras, resulting in shameful blind spots that shroud comparatively neglected diamonds in the rough. With the arrival today of the deluxe edition reissue of the mope maestro’s 1992 album Your Arsenal, courtesy of U.K. label Parlophone and available in the U.S. via Rhino Records — not to mention a recently announced tenth solo album on deck for later this year — Vulture seized the opportunity to shine the spotlight on 20 Morrissey solo numbers that don’t get mentioned as often as “Every Day Is Like Sunday” and “Suedehead,” but which deserve...

Hard to believe that Morrissey seminal third solo album, Your Arsenal, was released in 1992. Produced by Bowies's Spider from Mars guitarist and arranger Mick Ronson, it was a massive success in the Us. The "definitive master" of that album is released today by Rhino Entertainment on premium vinyl, CD, and digital download. The CD includes a previously unreleased live DVD concert from October 31st, 1991 from the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA.

A new Us concert film celebrates Morrissey's 25 years solo, but can it mend fences and bring back alienated fans – like me?

Almost 10 years ago, I interviewed Morrissey for NME. After a dry spell without a record deal, Moz was poised to release You Are the Quarry, his first album since 1997. It was the first time he had spoken to NME since 1992, after the paper expressed its disquiet at Morrissey's flirtation with skinhead imagery in one of its most famous cover stories. He was every bit as good value as a fan like myself could have hoped, ending the interview with the characteristic advice that, since I hadn't enjoyed a lasting love affair, I was better off giving up and getting "a nice budgie" instead. A few weeks later, I saw him celebrate his 45th birthday in a triumphant concert at Manchester Arena.

Following on from last November’s release of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, perennial platformer Ratchet & Clank is back for yet another curent-gen outing. It’s been 10 years since Ratchet & Clank made their debut on the PS2, where the franchise gained great acclaim for the fantastic mix of platforming and action. Since then we have seen only a few releases on the Playstation 3, including a HD redux of the original trilogy and the aforementioned All 4 One, which took the franchise in a new direction – offering 4 player multiplayer in a series known for typically being single player.
Coming once again courtesy of Insomniac Games, Ratchet & Clank Q Force (or Full Frontal Assault as its known in the Us) brings something new to the franchise once again – tower defense! Mixing gameplay styles once again, this latest game in the series blends the platforming and shoot-em-up experience we’ve previously seen with tower defense strategy-style gameplay,...

The epic Hall H was the site of the epic Game of Thrones panel on the Friday of Comic-Con 2012. On the panel were Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), and Richard Madden (Robb Stark). Author George R. R. Martin served as moderator, and he did an admirable job with his questions for the cast and for executive producer Carolyn Strauss who was also on the panel. Kit Harington (Jon Snow) had been expected on the panel but was injured recently (don’t worry, it’s not supposed to affect his role in Season 3).
The panel began with Martin introducing this Season 2 recap featurette, followed by a new cast featurette:
Featurette: Game of Thrones Season 2 Recap (Comic-Con)
Featurette: Game of Thrones Season 3 – New Cast Members
The appearance of Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Doctor Who, Phineas and Ferb) on the video received a terrific ovation,...

Arsenal are top of the league… of the Champions League at least and go into tonight’s Group F game against Olympiakos in Greece likely fielding a youthful second or third string side. They are four points ahead of second-placed Marseille and can’t be caught, so even if they were to loose heavily tonight they won’t be knocked off the top perch. Top players like Robin Van Persie and Theo Walcott haven’t travelled as they are needed for their Premier League comeback.
Unfamiliar names like Oguzhan Ozyakup (midfielder) Ignasi Miquel and Nico Yennaris (defenders) are included in the squad, along with midfielder Craig Eastmond and winger/forward Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
As for the more experienced, Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky might play as he needs games whilst recovering from a thigh injury. Yossi Benayoun, Thomas Vermaelen, Andrey Arshavin, Andre Santos and Johan Djourou are included and a bunch of those might play.

Artwork courtesy of Espn and the Am I Collective. Danish soccer—like rocker Bruce Springsteen—had its glory days in the mid-80s, though it’s shown flashes of brilliance since then. (A revelation at Mexico 1986, the Danes failed to qualify for the 1990 and ’94 World Cups; made it as far as the quarterfinals in France ’98; then failed again to qualify for Germany 2006.) Coach Morten Olsen, himself a standout from the “Danish Dynamite” team of the ‘80s, is hoping for a revival of form for the squad, which seems entirely possible after a great qualifying run that included wins over both Sweden and Portugal. He certainly has the talent: Stoke City’s Thomas Sorensen in goal, Juventus hard-ass Christian Poulsen marauding in midfield, and flashy young Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner raring to go on attack. Denmark has always been one of those wildcard European teams—wildly unpredictable and footloose, gunning for upsets at every turn.

Morrissey’s current comeback began with 2004’s You Are The Quarry—it found him sounding more engaged than he had in years, and it reminded longtime fans why their old obsession mattered in the first place. But Morrissey’s latest, Years Of Refusal, makes it sound like he’s only been meeting fans halfway. Not since 1992’s Your Arsenal has he combined barbed wit and fast-moving, backward-glancing guitar rock so piercingly. Morrissey infamously included a promise to cut the throat of an enemy (most likely his former drummer in The Smiths, Mike Joyce) on his worst album, 1997 ...
