Nearly 30 years later, Dane Cook still laments blowing his shot at sketch comedy greatness.

The comedian admitted he “definitely felt like I let myself down” as he recently reflected on skipping his audition for Saturday Night Live early in his career after experiencing a panic attack outside the building.

“On my way to my audition at SNL, I had a full-on panic attack,” said Cook on the Fly on the Wall podcast. “I sat on a bench outside of Rockefeller Plaza. And I didn’t go in. I actually called my manager. I said … ‘I can’t do it.’ And he’s like, ‘Why? They’re all waiting for you. They wanna see you. They’re looking for something to fill that void.'”

Exclusive: Dane Cook is set to reteam with Greg Coolidge, his director on the 2006 Lionsgate comedy Employee of the Month, on Guys Night, an indie comedy based on the 2011 Black List script by Christopher Baldi.

The film follows a man who, after hitting a major rut in his marriage, is convinced the only way to save the relationship is to have the ultimate night out with his male co-workers.

Cook will produce, as will Jim Valdez through his Fortress Media Group. Seth Yanklewitz (The Hangover) is casting, with production scheduled for a late summer start. Christopher Barish, Kyle Hayes and Matt Bass are the executive producers.

Breaking out in the late ’90s and early 2000s as one of the biggest comedians in the world, Cook remains among the top-selling, as highlighted by his sold-out performance at Netflix Is a Joke and his upcoming nationwide Live Nation tour, “Fresh New Flavor.

Jason Biggs is opening up about his past battles with alcohol, revealing he used to hide his addiction from his wife, Jenny Mollen.

The American Pie alum made a recent appearance on his wife’s podcast All the Fails, where he admitted that he continued to drink alcohol while attending counseling.

“I’m going to therapy and ‘working on things,’ but meanwhile I’m leaving therapy, having just had a good session, and I’m going to the liquor store and buying a fifth of vodka, drinking it and then driving home,” Biggs recounted.

This one has been on the list ever since Clothes on Film launched ten years ago. Romancing the Stone (1984), and specifically Kathleen Turner’s character of Joan Wilder in the movie, has long been a costume favourite. Her very visible transition is what makes the costume character arc so fascinating. All kudos here to costume designer Marilyn Vance Straker for her clever and oh-so-stylish work. Turner is of the era – we definitely know it’s the eighties – but not dated, not really in any way now. Her look holds up.

Having worked on some of the biggest box office projects Hollywood has ever produced, the likes of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986), The Untouchables (1987), Pretty Woman (1990) and My Best Friend’s Girl (2008). The Cars' Ric Ocasek merged punk, pop and avant garde music to help launch new wave.

Ric Ocasek, co-founder and main singer of the band the Cars, was found dead in his Gramercy Park home in New York City, police confirmed, according to Variety. The songwriter and painter was discovered unconscious and unresponsive by his estranged wife, Paulina Porizkova. Few details have been released, including a cause of death. The NYPD announced Ocasek's age as 75, but NPR says he was 70, according to public records.

Rhythm guitarist Ocasek formed the Cars in Boston in 1976 with bassist and singer Benjamin Orr, who died from pancreatic cancer in 2000. The pair met in Cleveland in 1965 after Ocasek caught a performance of Orr's band the Grasshoppers on a local musical variety program called The Big 5 Show. In 1968, the pair formed a band called ID Nirvana, playing regularly at Ohio State University and area clubs.

The premium cable network has handed out a second-season renewal to the Wall Street comedy starring Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells and Regina Hall. Season two of the Sony Pictures TV effort from creators and showrunners David Caspe (Happy Endings) and Jordan Cahan (My Best Friend's Girl) will consist of 10 episodes and return in 2020. Cahan and Caspe will return as co-showrunners in season two.

Jason Biggs and wife Jenny Mollen became parents on Saturday, and the proud papa documented the experience in a series of Instagram videos.

Biggs, 35, first announced the pregnancy news in July during an appearance on Chelsea Lately.

When asked about his wife, who host Chelsea Handler noted was "engorged" in the chest area as of late, Biggs inquired happily, "Would you like to know why?"

In response to Handler's hesitant "sure," the actor replied, "'Cause I put a baby in her belly!"

No more guessing about what will appear on the 20th anniversary reissue of Nirvana's In Utero — Rolling Stone can now reveal what the mammoth, 70-song, three-disc deluxe edition of the band's final masterpiece will contain: Two versions of In Utero (the original LP remastered, plus the album newly remixed) as well as more than 40 tracks of unreleased demos, rehearsals, live performances, B-sides, and a recently unearthed, never-before-heard Nirvana instrumental. The reissue will arrive September 24th.

The first disc will feature a remastered version of the original, Steve Albini-produced In Utero, complete with the two tracks ("Heart Shaped Box," "All Apologies") that Scott Litt mixed for In Utero's final version. Washington, August 4: Kate Hudson shot her latest Ann Taylor ads, with her nephews Wilder and Bodhi.

The ad campaign which was shot by photographer Mikael Jansson, celebrated the multitasking career woman, portraying a very well organized Hudson, People magazine reported.

The 'My Best Friend's Girl' actress is seen reading a pile of scripts in one clip, while in another she's baking cookies with her nephews.

The 34-year-old actress told Wwd that their family is "very, very close" and it will be fun to see her nephews on Madison Avenue in the ad pictures.

Hudson claimed that this campaign has been her favorite.

No pie here, but Jason Biggs' wife does have a bun in the oven.

The "American Pie" star is expecting his first child with Jenny Mollen, he revealed on "Chelsea Lately," last night (July 17).

"Her breasts look really engorged," host Chelsea Handler remarked to Biggs while showing off a picture that Mollen had sent to her.

"Her breasts are very big these days," Biggs admitted. "Would you like to know why? ... Cause I put a baby in her belly! It works!" he added, while pointing to his nether regions.

Biggs, 35, met actress Mollen, 34, on the set of "My Best Friend's Girl" and the pair tied the knot in April 2008.

Mollen took to Twitter to confirm her pregnancy, posting a photo of her sonogram on Instagram and writing, "My new assistant is so f**king lazy!" Biggs, of course, retweeted it.

Soon after, Mollen posted a snap of her sonogram as well as one displaying a handful of positive pregnancy tests to confirm her husband's announcement.

The couple were married in 2008 after meeting on the set of the film, My Best Friend's Girl.

Walt Disney Pictures announced today that comedian Dane Cook will be providing the voice of Dusty, "a plane with high hopes," in their animated Cars spin-off Disney's Planes , scheduled for release on August 9. Directed by Disneytoon Studios vet Klay Hall, the 3D animated comedy adventure follows Dusty as he tries to achieve his dream of competing as a high-flying air racer despite his fear of heights. The peacock network has already pulled the plug on their new mid-season comedy, Next Caller, before a single episode even aired. According to Deadline, the Dane Cook sitcom was cancelled because it wasn't going in the creative direction that NBC had been hoping for.

The network had initially ordered seven installments. Four episodes of Next Caller have been shot but none of them will be shown. The cast includes Dane, Collette Wolfe, Desmin Borges, Jeffrey Tambor, Joy Osmanski, Wole Parks, and Ryan Devlin.

Deadline brings word underused "Saturday Night Live" contributor Taran Killam is going to be joining Steve McQueen's new slave drama Twelve Years a Slave, playing a traveling showman who abducts the freed Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and sells him into slavery. Northup was a New York citizen who was kidnapped in Washington in 1841 and rescued from a cotton plantation in Louisiana in 1853. The film will follow his story. Dane Cook has landed a starring role on the pilot for "Next Caller Please," an NBC sitcom about a DJ at a satellite radio station who is perpetually unhappy that he has been paired with a feminist-minded co-host, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The pilot, intended to be shot single-camera style (similar to "The Office" and "Community"), would be the stand-up comedian's first starring role on a television series. His other television work includes the HBO stand-up comedy tour documentary series "Tourgasm," and a memorable guest starring role playing himself on "Louie."
