The story is about a local market and concentrates on the family of a chicken shop owner. It is extremely well written and even over 50 episodes it manages to hold your attention all the way through. Credit must go to the actors as the whole cast are believable and you feel invested in their lives and really want the best for all of them. It shows the importance of family but also the ups and downs that happen in all relationships. If you want to go on a feel good journey with laugh out loud moments coupled with heartbreak this series is highly recommended.

Another nice drama that korea has made, the acting is so brilliant.
Everyone did a great job.
Simple and smooth events, i am still in episode 19 but i enjoy every moment of this drama.
Thank you korea... once again.

It's an amazing achievement that so much of this show is enjoyable, laugh out loud funny and genuinely touching and the characters are so real and likeable. This family drama centers around a family with a son and three daughters who all get divorced. The various reasons for divorce are carefully portrayed: financial (the stuntman), personality differences (the doctor), infidelity (the stewardess and the youngest child). An outstanding aspect is the 2 mothers of the families who are often hilarious both in their relationship with each other and their children is acutely observed. Liked the contrasting personalities of the 2 younger daughters, the blunt doctor and the sweet youngest daughter. Long but well written story arc about 2 siblings separated and lost to each other in child hood. The romances are very fun to watch and the viewer really can root for them. The romance of the dentist and the youngest daughter is really cute and charming. The stewardess and the judo athlete is and touching too. The problems of 2 doctors is quite moving and real. Each element is nicely handled with the resolutions to the issues satisfying and plausible. Interesting surprise villain offensive and lacking conscience. Very realistic portrayal of borrower and lender perspectives. The humor is varied and farcical at times.
The acting is terrific from the ensemble cast. Lee Min Jung handles the role of the doctor daughter well as a woman high on IQ but low on EQ. Her husband played by Lee Sang Yeob really gets the viewer's sympathy. Lee Sang Yi is charming as the dentist brother a funny and realistic brother relationship. Oh Yoon Ah is also very touching as the stewardess. Lee Cho Hee is endearing as the youngest daughter. Parasite fans will recognize Lee Jong Eun as the cute and fiesty long lost sister.
Highly recommended.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, but such a heartwarming series. All of the cast are perfect. It may be a long series but give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

Give it A Shot
You Won't Regret It
Not A Single Episode Is Boring
It's a really good Korean drama. I watched many but in some of them I got bored a bit. It's getting attention of the viewer and I felt sad when it ended. You always get curious of the next episode. None of the episodes are repeating themselves. It's totally recommended. I wish there would be more episodes. :(

The story centres around a fried chicken shop owner in his sixties, his wife, and his four divorced children.
I chose this drama because two of my favourite actors were in it - Lee Jung Eun and Lee Sung Yi (who really should be given more lead roles). I am pleased to report that you will be seeing lots of both Lee Sung Yi and Lee Jung Eun. It was only after I got into the story that i bothered to check the number of episodes - a horrifying 100. By then it was too late to give up so I resigned myself to wasting 50 hours of my life on this. The story dragged on during the last 15 episodes. Some characters were downright irritating and quite repulsive to the eye. Song joon sun gave me a major ick whenever he smiled snd tried to look cute. He was the most irritating character in the series and there was far too much of him. Another simpering miss I could have done without was Baek Ji Won (eugh). So barring these two jokers and the two market traders the rest of it made for good viewing .

... but by no means overdone.
There's hardly an element of life that this show doesn't touch on: grief, anger, bitterness, jealousy, fear and love. There is so much love in this show!
All of the characters and story arcs are credible and relatable but the one that resonated the most was the lost sister. The show was made all the better by uniformly spot-on performances.
If there must be one complaint, it would be the out of place giggling. Fortunately, not all the characters had ill-placed giggles.
Watching this series felt like dropping in on good friends. Binge-watching is impossible with 50 episodes but it was so satisfying, dropping in on this gang again, night after night. It'd been a while since I so eagerly looked forward to my viewing time.
You might enjoy dropping in on them, too.

The storyline keeps you hooked as you'd like to know what happens with the characters. I usually watch kdrama with 16 to 20 episodes, but I got through the 50 episodes and wanted more. You can relate with the story and they were all good actors and actresses. I hated Younseong but that means she's a good actress, I got impatient with Yeokdal and Yeongsuk getting together so I cheated from 34th epeisode to 38th episode hahaha, then went back to see the details. Thanks for this wonderful kdrama.
It's a rare occasion that I start a series, skip to the end because I'm impatient and yet rewind to watch it again from the beginning, wanting to see how the story unfolds - this deserves the extra 9th star in itself. Another k-family drama touching upon universal themes without diminishing the issues at hand. Not afraid to spice up the seriousness with a good laugh perfectly reflecting the beautiful imperfections of everyday human lives and relationships. I may not be a doctor nor a storeowner, but I'm human and can relate to human emotions - after all emotions are human too. Great cast and ensemble, good place to start if You're curious about k-dramas in general albeit this one is for the so-called "grown-ups" segment. Much appreciated.

This is a movie on all great best. It takes you through a lot of emotions, happy and sad and I like the details in the movie. I like all the characters in the movie and I recommend you take your time out to watch it. It's really sad to see the end of the movie and I want it to last forever.

The psychopathic and dictatorial behavior when it comes to marriage and mentally disturbed. Annoys me in every Korean series. It gives the impression that their children are a commodity.
Mothers often behave as if they were their daughters' pimps. This creates a very bad image of Korea.
The story is good and varied. But I have to repeat myself, this dictatorial behavior towards people over the age of 18 is extremely annoying.
Personally, I would break away from such parents
Such behavior is more than sick, and for an adult like their children it is unthinkable and intolerable.
Best Regards.
