Nikhil Siddhartha has begun the shoot for his upcoming fantasy-action-romance film ‘Swayambhu’ for which he revealed a new poster of the movie. Taking to his Instagram, the actor revealed the poster which features a scroll depicting him in full warrior mode, aiming his bow and arrow on horseback in golden light fighting a fire-breathing serpentine monster.

He captioned the poster of ‘Swayambhu’: “The Epic Journey Begins #Swayambhu #Shootbegins.”

Before that too, the actor had unveiled another epic looking poster which showcased him donning battle armour with a spear in hand ready to strike his enemies down.

Mumbai, June 8 (Ians) A day after the ‘Adipurush’ teaser was launched at a grand event in Tirupati, and garnered over 109 million views on YouTube in 24 hours, and the producers of ‘Karthikeya 2’ announced that they will give away 10,000 tickets for free in Telangana, the distribution of the Rs 500 crore pan-India film in the Telugu-speaking states has hit a speedbreaker.

A major distributor, Dil Raju, has backed out of picking up the rights for the Telugu version of the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer in what is known as the Hyderabad and Uttarandhra regions in the film trade jargon.

On its first anniversary on June 3, Sesh has shared how it changed his life. ‘Major’ depicted the real-life story of the braveheart, Nsg officer Sandeep Unnikrishnan, and the tragic events of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

The biopic forged a very special bond with Sesh, who is keeping this legacy alive by remaining close to the Unnikrishnan family — retired Isro scientist K. Unnikrishnan and his wife Dhanalakshmi.

Abhishek Aggarwal, best known for producing successful films like ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘Karthikeya 2’, has adopted a village in Telangana’s Rangareddy district.

The producer adopted a village called Thimmapur in the Kandukuru Mandal of Rangareddy district. Interestingly, Thimmapur is the birthplace of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy.

The producer, who has established a foundation called the Chandrakala Foundation to serve the people, adopted Thimmapur village on the occasion of his father Tej Narayan Aggarwal’s 60th birthday.

From a low-key entry in about 50 theatres, ‘Karthikeya 2’ soon spread like wildfire across theatres in Hindi markets. At last count more than 3000 screens were showing the movie even on weekdays.

“It’s the word of mouth that is taking the movie forward. There’s nothing bigger than word of mouth and it went viral and was discussed a lot on social media.

Actor Nikhil Siddhartha, who is on cloud nine because of his just released film, ‘Karthikeya 2’, turning out to be a phenomenal success, says that there will be more instalments of the franchise which is proving to be extremely popular.

Responding to a question from Ians on whether there will be a third part in the franchise, Nikhil said: “Yes, since we have a character like Dr. Karthik who is hell bent on unearthing exciting mysteries and having adventures. There are several more untold stories about our cultural heritage and we will be back for several more exciting instalments of Karthikeya.”

The actor, who has been overwhelmed by the fantastic response the film has evoked, admits that even they did not expect such an emphatic reception. Nikhil said: “This response was a shock for our entire team. The way shows were increased all across and people were making theatres housefull was fantastic.

The supernatural mystery thriller sequel to the 2014 hit was dubbed in 5 languages and the Hindi version of the film is on an unstoppable dream run at the box office. Despite competition from big-ticket Bollywood entertainers like ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’, the Hindi version of Karthikeya 2 managed to carve a niche for itself owing to the great reviews and positive word of mouth. With 1.10 crore on Day 3, the film saw a whopping 300 figure jump on its third day, a rare occurrence for new movie releases!

If that wasn’t all, with several shows running housefull, the screen count for Karthikeya 2 continued to rise with every passing day. Having started off with a mere 50 shows on its opening day in Hindi belts, the reception and occupancy the film received increased its demand to 1500+ shows by Tuesday.

The unit of director Chandoo Mondeti’s Telugu film ‘Karthikeya 2’, which is ecstatic with the audience’s response to the film, has thanked the audience, the media and the well wishers of the film its gratitude.
