Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about Season 21 Episode 8 of Grey’s Anatomy, Drop It Like It’s Hot.
Grey’s Anatomy is known for its jam-packed finales but even by those standards, this year’s fall closer was a doozy. Set against the backdrop of a deadly heat wave, it featured the Grey Sloan exit of Mika (Midori Francis) who struggled to move on from her sister’s death. There was a risky surgery that may have killed a patient, a store robbery gone wrong that may have killed one or more people, more marriage woes for Owen and Teddy and rekindled love for Benson.
Taking place more than six months after the events in the previous episode when Mika woke up after her surgery to find out that her sister Chloe had died, the finale chronicles Mika’s first day back at Grey Sloan after a recovery time off.

After a generic DVD run and Blu-rays released outside the U.S. market under the name Ragman, Synapse Films has answered the prayers of many horror-metal fans with the recent 4K release of 1986’s Trick or Treat. Having “No Wimps” and “No False Metal,” this film is considered by many to be the quintessential heavy metal horror flick, partially thanks to a perfectly apropos soundtrack provided by the band Fastway.
After constantly being harassed by the cool kids at his high school, Eddie Weinbauer aka “Ragman” finds solace in listening to the music of his idol Sammi Curr to get through the abuse. Not only is he a famous heavy metal star, but Curr is also an alum at Eddie’s high school where he became an outcast-made-good into metal stardom. And this is why Eddie feels a faux bond and extreme idolization for Curr since he believes they share the same origin story,...

Hey, remember Y2K (Aka “the millenium bug”)? In the months leading up to the year 2000, everybody was in an uproar, believing there would be a complete shutdown of resources upon midnight of December 31 / January 1 of 2000.
In a nutshell, many computer programs were not set up for the change of “19” to “20” that year, and the possibility existed that files would become unreachable, the power grid would shut down, etc.
Of course, there were some technical issues upon the stroke of midnight, but thankfully, nowhere near the disaster that so many people believed was inevitable. Well, A24’s newest film, appropriately called Y2K, uses the panic as the basis for its plot.
Set on December 31, 1999 Y2K stars Jaeden Martell, Rachel Zegler, Julian Dennison Australian rapper the Kid Laroi, Fred Durst and Alicia Silverstone.
Although A24 has become mostly known for its serious horror films such as The Witch, Hereditary, Midsommar and Talk to Me,...

Earlier this year, the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, Josh D’Amaro, announced that Disney plans to add a Monstropolis to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. Immediately, fans questioned where the attraction was being added. The location was not announced then, but concept art showed it being located either at the Launch Bay area or in the Muppets area of the park.
Fans asked where the new Monsters Inc. area was going but were not answered. Many are concerned that they will replace the Muppets area with this new IP. Meanwhile, the Launch Bay isn’t very popular, and many hope it goes there.
Today, D’Amaro told guests at D23 Brazil that construction would begin in 2025. However, they still refuse to answer the question of Where they are putting this attraction.

Today, D’Amaro told guests at D23 Brazil that construction would begin in 2025. However, they still refuse to answer the question of Where they are putting this attraction.

The fictional city of Derry, Maine looms unsettlingly large in the novels of Stephen King. It isn't as central to the author's integrated narratives as the berg of Castle Rock (which spawned a mediocre Hulu series), but its role in two of his most celebrated books -- "It" and "11/22/63" (which spawned a putrid Hulu series) -- is of more than Easter egg importance.
It is the hoariest of cliches to say a city is "a character" in a story, but Derry is truly a spellbinding force unto itself in "It." The city has a horrific history, starting with the disappearance of 340 settlers in 1741, continuing with the 1864 massacre of 120 citizens by Confederate sympathizers and including, among many other nasty incidents, the explosion of the Kitchener Ironworks (which killed 102 people in 1906). This is before Pennywise the clown began stalking the and killing the children of Derry in the late 1950s. A city...

Within the anime industry, Studio Ghibli has the most unique animation style that adds a realistic feeling to the story. For many years Ghibli’s animation blended perfectly with Hayao Miyazaki’s artistic approach and produced some of the greatest anime films of all time. It has remained consistent for most of the time, but there have been a few exceptions that fans might not have noticed.
My Neighbor Totoro | Credit: Studio Ghibli
One of those exceptions was seen when Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro came out in 1988. The film was animated by Studio Ghibli, and the key animation at the time was handled by Yoshinori Kanada, one of the most influential Japanese animators of all time. Kanada had worked on a lot of Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli projects as the key animator.
Kanada had a special bond with Miyazaki, which led to the filmmaker making an exception for him.

Chris Pratt stays neutral for the 2024 Presidential Election and delivers a message of unity in this time of division.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star didn’t endorse Kamala Harris or Donald Trump but instead talked about coming together as a country.
“I’ve been doomscrolling my way through this election season. And I see things from both sides. I understand that people’s lives and rights are on the line,” Pratt said in a column for Sunday Paper, his mother-in-law Maria Shriver’s website. “I also see that there are millions of people who feel overlooked and invisible to our government and are desperate for something to change.”
Pratt went on to recall that his “family was poor” growing up and although his “life has drastically changed” after becoming a movie star, he added, “I’m trying to make sense of the election through the eyes of Americans on both sides.

Roblox has become a behemoth in digital content creation over the past five years. There are more than 70 million videos about it uploaded to TikTok, and it’s consistently one of YouTube‘s most-watched titles, with creators like KreekCraft racking up tens of millions of views (and 10+ million subscribers) on content made within the game. It also, through its DevEx program for game developers, generated over $1.2 billion worth of economic value in the United States between 2017 and 2023.
And one of the game developers within that program is making something that could end up turning Roblox into a competitor for TikTok and YouTube.
Back in March, Neura Studios released Clip It–a TikTok and YouTube Shorts lookalike that only operates exclusively within the Roblox platform. It has most of the same functionalities: a swipe-to-the-next-video Ui, likes, comments, and a suite of editing tools that lets creators post clips from the game...

Three days before the election, Kamala Harris made a cameo during the Saturday Night Live cold open, sharing some words with the woman who plays her, Maya Rudolph, as she prepared to give her final Pennsylvania speech of the presidential campaign.
“I’m just here to remind you, you got this, because you can do something your opponent cannot do: You can open doors,” the real Harris said to Rudolph’s Kamala, making a joke about Donald Trump’s trash-truck stunt this past week.
Rudolph’s Kamala then let out a laugh — something that has been the source of Trump’s mockery.
“I don’t really laugh like that, do I?” the real Harris asked.
“Ahhhh…a little bit,” Rudolph’s Kamala responded.
The skit was a boost for Harris, as it featured a weary and exhausted Trump (James Austin Johnson) flailing at one of his rallies and gave the...

Mission Impossible 8 Budget Keeps Growing (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 8 is trending in the media, especially because of its ballooning budget. It has now gone north of $300 million. Christopher McQuarrie will reportedly direct the last movie in the franchise. Scroll below for more.
The action spy films are based on the 1966 TV series created by Bruce Geller. The first film in the series came out in 1996, establishing Tom as an action star and making him a global sensation. It is one of the most popular franchises that Tom has led. They have grossed around $4.09 billion worldwide. Unfortunately, Mi 7, released in 2023, had an underwhelming performance at the box office. It suffered because of the films Barbie and Oppenheimer. They overshadowed every film, even Cruise’s Biggie. It was the first film in the series to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound.

In a year full of terrific (and terrifying) horror movies, "Heretic" stands out from the crowd. Driven by captivating dialogue and a simmering sense of dread that eventually boils over into outright terror, the writing and directing duo of Scott Beck and Bryan Woods have done the impossible: They've made an A24 horror movie that captures the studio's trademark sense of unease while also delivering a proper crowdpleaser. It's the kind of movie that feels carefully built to appeal to horror fans ranging from arthouse to casual, all without sacrificing character, atmosphere, and yes, scares. As I wrote in my review from Fantastic Fest, this is simply an extremely good time at the movies.
And delivering extremely good times at the movies is what Beck and Woods do best. After writing "A Quiet Place," they directed two of the most underrated genre films of the past few years with "Haunt...

Stephen King's book It, about a child-eating clown called Pennywise who terrorizes the small town of Derry on and off for decades, has been terrifying people ever since it first hit bookshelves in 1986. More recently, Andy Muschietti directed a pair of movies based on It that did quite well at the box office, well enough for HBO to greenlight a show set in Derry, decades before the events of the main story. It's called It: Welcome to Derry.
Normally I'd say this sounds like HBO is stretching, but two things make me optimistic: first, It is an enormous book, and there probably is enough in there to base a show on. Welcome to Derry will be based on the "interludes" throughout the book, when one of the main characters, Mike Hanlon, investigates incidents in Derry's past where Pennywise crawled out of his hole to wreck havoc, whipping the...

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, November 1, prove that Victor doesn’t have the influence over his children he thinks — or wants — when Victoria ignores him to turn to Cole.
What Might Have Been
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Cole (J. Eddie Peck) broke up decades ago. They were reunited this year when their previously presumed dead daughter, Eve, turned out to be Claire (Hayley Erin) — who kind of, sort of, tried to kill the entire Newman family. But they’ve all moved past that.
Victor (Eric Braeden) forgave Claire for trying to kill him, his wife, and his children. But he will never forgive Cole for being…Cole. Which is why he barked at Cole to stay away from his daughter. Cole heroically suppressed his giggles at the “threat” and went home to have sex with Victoria. She also laughed away her father’s “warning.” When Victoria makes a serious decision,...

Evanescence played their last show of 2024 on Tuesday night (October 29th) in London, Ontario, wrapping up a Canadian tour with Halestorm. For the final song of the night, Amy Lee and company were joined onstage by Lzzy Hale for a rousing rendition of “Bring Me to Life.”
While Hale and Lee have shared the stage before, this was the first time Lzzy sang “Bring Me to Life” with Evanescence. Taking on the guest vocal part recorded by Paul McCoy on the original, Hale delivered a powerhouse scream to complement Lee’s heavenly vocals.

At the end of the song, Lee and Hale embraced. The Evanescence singer then told the audience, “That’s it, 2024. Goodnight!”
Throughout the tour, Lee had been joining Halestorm during their set for the song “Break In,” a tune that Lzzy Hale and company re-recorded with Lee for their 2020 Reimagined EP.

Outlast is one of the most horrific psychological survival gaming franchises of all time. This series by Red Barrels first made its debut in the gaming world in 2013. The series centers on Miles Upshur, a freelance investigative journalist who chooses to look into Mount Massive Asylum, a remote mental health facility tucked away in the mountains of Lake County, Colorado.

The first game was a huge hit; hence, the series went on to prolong itself with three more titles. However, just like any other gaming franchise, there were huge demands for an on-screen adaptation of this series. Now, the John Wick and Saw famed company might have heard these demands.

Lionsgate has snapped up the rights and is set to turn the pant-wettingly scary survival horror title Outlast into a film.
Being Halloween today (assuming you’re reading these words on the 31st October), it feels right to see at least one film announcement that fits the tone of the spookiest day on the calendar (unless you have a phobia about Christmas).
Lionsgate, then, has revealed that a film adaptation of Outlast is on the way. Per Bloody Disgusting's report, Canadian videogame developer Red Barrels – the team responsible for the survival horror series – is teaming up with the studio behind John Wick to try to emulate the scares that the game has been renowned for since its release over a decade ago.
Make no mistake, Outlast is a terrifying game, using a blend of first-person perspective and night vision lighting (for which there is never enough batteries) to limit the...

At one time, Watcher director Chloe Okuno was attached to direct the fourth entry in Netflix’s R.L. Stine-inspired Fear Street franchise – but while Fear Street: Prom Queen has made its way through production without her involvement (the movie ended up being directed by Matthew Palmer), Okuno has been busy getting another genre project set up. One that will reunite her with Watcher star Maika Monroe. This one is called Brides, and Deadline reports that it’s currently in pre-production, aiming to start filming in the Spring of 2025.
Scripted by Okuno, Brides draws inspiration from Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula. Set in 1960s Italy, it will show us what happens when Sally Bishop (Monroe) and her husband travel to a remote villa in the wake of Sally’s nervous breakdown. The villa’s owner, a mysterious count, takes a peculiar interest in Sally. But he gets far more than...
