Netflix and British docs producer Rogan Productions are to attempt to “connect the long and disturbing chain of events” that led to the disastrous Grenfell Tower fire in London.
The pair are teaming on a Grenfell [working title] doc feature that will air later this year and was revealed last night at the Next on Netflix event in London.
The feature will give a voice to survivors, bereaved families and firefighters, while “tracing the chain of events that led to the disaster,” according to Netflix. In 2017, the Grenfell Tower fire claimed the lives of 72 people and has led to a huge deal of introspection for the past eight years including a major national inquiry.
Netflix UK boss Anne Mensah said last night: “From pure entertainment to the most important stories – this year you will see a number of big British documentary series and films on Netflix UK. These are the important stories that demand to be told.

The release date of Netflix's best action show's season 2 is on the horizon, giving viewers the perfect window of opportunity to watch its season 1. Although Netflix holds a vast library of shows and movies in nearly every genre, the streaming giant has been specifically expanding its action catalog with enthralling films and TV series. The last few years have been incredible for the streamer in this regard because some of its new additions to the action genre, like Rebel Ridge, The Recruit, and Outer Banks, have performed incredibly well.
Even when considering Netflix's future, the streamer promises to deliver some highly-anticipated action content, including movies like Havoc and Back in Action and shows like Cobra Kai season 6 Part III and The Recruit season 2. Series three of Gangs of London will air on Sky next year, and the trailer for it has landed. Right here, in fact.
After revitalising action cinema with the two astonishing martial arts films in The Raid franchise – his directorial debut, Merantau, is well worth tracking down too – Gareth Evans turned to television, co-creating Gangs of London with Matt Flannery in 2019.
A sprawling crime saga, the show follows the Wallace family as they grapple to keep control of their criminal empire. And we’ve had two series of it so far, with plenty of memorable moments to talk about.
The show became known for its notoriously violent action scenes, which are as visceral and gory as anything seen in a big screen slasher. Unsurprisingly, given Evans’ involvement, the work that went into those scenes was really quite something.
The show is now in its third series. Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù returns as lead character Elliot Carter,...

Updated: Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan have officially signed on to star in the Paramount+ series from Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett.
It was previously reported that the trio were in final negotiations to join the show. The project had initially been developed with the title “The Donovans,” with plans to function as an across-the-pond spin-off of the Showtime series “Ray Donovan,” which was led by Liev Schreiber for seven seasons and a film adaptation. However, it has been reworked into a standalone series with no connections to that franchise. It was also previously reported that it was filming under the working title “The Associate,” but that is no longer the case.
Production is now underway in London, with the untitled show slated to debut in 2025 on Paramount+ with Showtime. The role reunites Hardy and Ritchie, who previously worked together on the 2008 film “RocknRolla.” It also keeps Mirren in business with Paramount,...

It’s been more than six years since Gareth Evans released his most recent film, 2018’s “Apostle.” But that doesn’t mean the filmmaker has been sitting around not doing anything. In fact, his upcoming film “Havoc” has been something he’s been working on for the better part of the last three years. So, why has it taken so long to get made? Evans recently spoke to Empire about that.

Gareth Evans’ long awaited new film Havoc is (finally) coming to Netflix in 2025 after delays, and here are the details.
It’s been a long time coming, but the first film from Gareth Evans in over a half a decade is finally set for release in 2025. Getting here has been quite the road.
Gareth Evans made a huge impact on 21st century action cinema in 2011 when he wrote and directed The Raid, which introduced the world not only to the fierce Indonesian martial art of Pencak Silat, but also to Iko Uwais, who dispatched body after body with brutal efficiency. 2014’s The Raid 2 upped the ante on the violence considerably, letting characters like Baseball Bat Man and Hammer Girl loose and featuring quite possibly the best prison brawl this century.
While an English language remake of The Raid remains in development hell, Evans has gradually built up a career this side of the pond,...

A video game adaptation was seemingly the perfect Venom replacement for Tom Hardy, but the project was canceled before it could see the light of day. Born on 15 September 1977, Tom Hardy made his acting debut with Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down and gradually grew from strength to strength after landing supporting roles in movies like Star Trek: Nemesis and RocknRolla. The actor's breakthrough came in 2008 when he played Charles Bronson in 2008's Bronson, paving the way for him to land more mainstream roles in movies like Inception, Lawless, and This Means War.
Since then, Tom Hardy has been a part of many acclaimed movies and even a few shows, making him one of the most accomplished actors of modern times. In recent years, he has garnered more attention for his portrayal of Venom/Eddie Brock in Marvel's Venom trilogy. However, since his tenure as the comic book villain has finally ended,...

It’s been nearly five years since it was first announced that Tom Hardy would star in Havoc, a new action thriller from The Raid director Gareth Evans. The film has certainly been a long time coming, but it will finally be released on Netflix in 2025. Empire dropped a new image from Havoc featuring Hardy sending some poor bastard to the emergency room. You can check that out below, as well as a few more from Netflix itself.
As production wrapped up four years ago, you might be wondering what the hold-up has been; according to Evans, that came down to the difficulty in scheduling additional photography, which required some very specific people to be in the same place at the same time. However, the director promised the film would be worth the wait, and the delay was only beneficial. “It’s had a profound effect on the film,” he said.

Netflix is ready to release a thrilling action thriller that promises to stretch the genre’s boundaries. “Havoc,” starring Tom Hardy and directed by Gareth Evans, will give an exciting cinematic experience in 2025.
The film follows Hardy’s character, Detective Walker, on a desperate rescue mission involving the nephew of the city mayor. When a drug deal goes out of control, Walker must negotiate a difficult urban setting to save the politician’s son.
Director Gareth Evans, best known for his work on The Raid, brings his characteristic high-intensity action choreography to the film. In an interview with Empire magazine, Evans emphasized the film’s distinctive approach. “When it comes to a film called Havoc, we deliver on the action front,” remarked the executive producer. But with Tom Hardy, you also get an intensely muscular central performance with real depth.”
Hardy’s role is set to be more than just an action hero.

If you’re a Tom Hardy fan, you’ve always wanted to see him cause real havoc. Sure, across his career he’s manufactured mayhem, proffered pain, brought memorable muscle – but you’ve never seen him go really all-out. That’s about to change. Next year finally brings the release of Havoc, the new film from The Raid legend Gareth Evans, returning from the high-octane small-screen antics of Gangs Of London, and ready to send Hardy into the hardman stratosphere.
The film has been a longtime coming – partly owing to additional photography that required a cast and crew of booked-and-busy brawlers to all be available. But as Evans promises, Havoc is worth the wait. “It’s had a profound effect on the film,” he tells Empire of the extra shooting. “It allowed me to better streamline it, and make it what it was always intended to be, which is a blistering,...

Tom Hardy's name alone is often enough to drum up excitement for a project. He's starred in major blockbusters and small, scrappy indies, frequently playing characters that require some level of transformation from him. Though Bane in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises (2012) remains one of his iconic characters, he's also frequently played more heroic figures.
Hardy memorably took over from Mel Gibson as Max Rockatansky in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), and he's now also widely known for his role as Eddie Brock/ Venom, recently saying farewell to that role with the release of Venom: The Last Dance (2024). In terms of upcoming roles, there is hope that he'll be reprising his role as Max in Mad Max: The Wasteland (though chances of that look slim after Furiosa's underperformance), and he's also set to appear in Havoc, a new film from The Raid (2011) director Gareth Evans. Thanks to Empire (via SFFGazette.com), we have a new look at Andor season 2 and the first official shots of Ben Mendelsohn's returning Orson Krennic. The season 1 finale teased the Death Star's construction and this suggests we should expect a deeper dive into how the Empire's greatest weapon came to be.
Also featured are Diego Luna's Cassian Andor and Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma, with the latter being someone we learned a lot more about during Andor's debut season. The magazine has also shared new stills of Cassian piloting what could be a Tie Fighter along with another shot of the villainous Imperial.
There are still several months to go until Andor returns to Disney+, so we're not necessarily expecting these latest reveals to be followed by a trailer (especially as Lucasfilm will likely want to keep the spotlight on Skeleton Crew for the time being).

Empire Magazine's newly-announced December 2024 cover focuses on Andor season 2, confirming the return of Ben Mendelsohn's Orson Krennic. Excitement is building for Andor season 2, recently confirmed to launch on Disney+ on April 22, 2025. Lucasfilm's most critically-acclaimed TV show to date, this is clearly seen as a big deal by the studio; marketing has kicked off even though it comes out after December's Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Even more excitingly, season 2 launches just after Star Wars Celebration, setting it up as a major event.
Andor season 2 leads Empire Magazine's 2025 preview, and the cover features the return of Ben Mendelsohn's Orson Krennic. Head of the Imperial Military Department of Advanced Weapons Research, Krennic is the man who oversaw construction of the Death Star. He's clearly being set up for a major role in Andor season 2.

There’s no other word for it: Star Wars series Andor was nothing short of revolutionary. The Rogue One prequel – depicting how Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor was drawn into the burgeoning Rebellion – reinvented the galaxy far, far away from the inside out. And yet it remained Star Wars through-and-through, delving deeper than ever before into the saga’s themes of antifascism, hard-won freedom, and the evils of Imperialism. Now, a Star Wars story like no other is about to go out with a bang – Andor Season 2 will complete Cassian’s rise, taking us straight into Rogue One with all the uncompromising flair that creator Tony Gilroy is known for. The revolution has just begun.

“The Ritual,” the upcoming exorcism horror in which Al Pacino and Dan Stevens play troubled priests, has sold out for most international territories by XYZ Films.
From director David Midell, the film was written by Midell and Enrico Natale, and produced by Andrew Stevens, Mitchell Welch and Natale. Ashley Greene and Abigail Cowen round out the cast.
XYZ, which has been quietly growing its own releasing arm on top of its sales operations, is planning a U.S. theatrical release in 2025.
Based on a true story, “The Ritual” follows two priests — one questioning his faith (Stevens) and one reckoning with a troubled past (Pacino) — who must put aside their differences to save a possessed young woman through a difficult and dangerous series of exorcisms. The film is an authentic portrayal of Emma Schmidt, an American woman whose demonic possession culminated in harrowing exorcisms. Her case remains the most thoroughly documented exorcism in American history.

In the midst of their press tour for Zoë Kravitz’s feature directorial debut, “Blink Twice,” starring romantic partner Channing Tatum, the duo took a not-so-brief pit-stop at the Criterion Closet to score a bevy of cinematic treats. Many of their choices outlined their shared eclectic taste and emphasized a relationship largely based around a love for films of all kind.
“We’re so excited to be here, this is like a dream come true,” Kravitz said as she and Tatum began their shopping spree. “I grew up in video stores, so this is also just a nice feeling cause that’s not really a thing anymore, sadly.”
Though the video was shot prior to the death of Gena Rowlands and posted on the day the news broke, there’s a serendipitous homage to the late actor, as well her husband and collaborator John Cassavetes.

In a few words, not much. Well, that’s not entirely true, but this movie from The Raid’s Gareth Evans finished shooting way back in the fall of 2021. Havoc seems to have just disappeared once filming wrapped. It looks like the film will finally hit Netflix screens later this year. What took so long?
What’s It About?
The film looks to continue Evans’ run in the crime/action/thriller genre. This time around, a detective gets pulled into a drug deal gone wrong. When he starts investigating, he finds that a politician’s son is involved. While trying to figure out how the whole thing fits together, the detective finds a city-wide corruption scheme. He has to wade through it to ensure the kid gets out okay but keep himself safe from the politicians pulling the strings.

William Friedkin’s The Exorcist was one of the few horror movies that managed to keep its viewers up late at night, tucked in the safety of their blankets. If they needed a glass of water and that clock was past midnight, they would just have to wait till the sun was up to quench their thirst. A true horror film in all its glory! And now, director Mike Flanagan will be taking on the responsibility of taking the franchise a step forward.
William Friedkin’s The Exorcist (1973) | Warner Bros.
The Exorcist has had quite a few sequels to date, 5 to be exact. Unfortunately, none of them had an impact on their audience like the O.G. The franchise also produced a television series, The Exorcist, which did well. Coming back to the movies, one failed sequel after the other slowly extinguished the fans’ hopes, and they gave up on the franchise altogether.

Completing the game is not the end of your experience in Los Santos, as the city still has a lot to offer. From stealing cars to making stacks of money, there's plenty to do once the credits roll.
Reaching one of the three different endings in GTA 5 only ties up the stories of the three main characters from the campaign. While no new content exists for the central story, many online modes and additional features are available for your custom character to explore. The ports of this game to modern consoles have kept the overall experience fresh as players have discovered new ways to enjoy the postgame.

While Sony’s Spider-Verse movies Madame Web and Morbius both laid eggs at the box office (to put it mildly), another live-action franchise from the studio has been minting money – the Venom films. Despite pretty awful reviews, the first movie made $856 million worldwide. The sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, only made just over $500 million (still a lot of moolah), but that was due to opening during the pandemic (it was actually the third highest-grossing movie of the year). With the third film pretty much guaranteed to make money no matter how it fares with critics, Sony is moving it up slightly on the release calendar, with it now set for October 25th, 2024. The movie also has a new title, Venom: The Last Dance.
This pre-Halloween weekend propelled Five Nights at Freddy’s to a huge opening, and Sony is no doubt hoping to score with horror audiences as well as superhero fans.

The Mothership, a Halle Berry sci-fi film, was scrapped due to “lots of production issues” according to Netflix boss Bela Bajaria.
Update: Just a little more detail on the scrapping of the Netflix sci-fi flick, The Mothership. Yesterday, The Wrap published a report with some quotes from Netflix content boss Bela Bajaria about the matter, but that report was suddenly taken down.
Since then, The Hollywood Reporter has put up its own report, which offers a bit more context. Bajaria made the comments at the streaming giant’s press event, Next on Netflix, in which it also unveiled its slate of upcoming films and shows. Squid Game season two, Beverly Hills Cop, that sort of thing.
In a brief snippet dedicated to The Mothership, THR quotes Bajaria as saying the film was scrapped due to “lots of production issues and story issues.”

The Tom Hardy-starring actioner Havoc, from Gareth Evans, wrapped production back in 2021 yet as it stands, isn’t slated to debut until 2025.
Yesterday, Netflix released a swathe of movies set to debut in 2024 and well, it looked like you’d expect it to given that the company is already putting its plan to shrink its annual movie slate into action. However, in a slimmed-down list there was one film in particular that was missing, causing an eyebrow or two to raise in puzzlement.
The film in question (as first noticed by World of Reel) is Gareth Evans’ Havoc, a movie that was shot all the way back in 2021 and yet still doesn’t seem to have secured a release date on Netflix. An action thriller, directed by the filmmaker behind The Raid, starring Tom Hardy and shot in Wales? Yes, please. we’d like this one just as soon as it’s ready,...

Match #1: Tables, Ladders, and Scares Match – The Creed Brothers def. Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Julius and Brutus Creed put on a show for the Nxt Universe as they defeated Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo in a wacky and wild Tables, Ladders, and Scares Match. All four competitors wore the wounds of war all over their bodies, but in the end a Super Brutus Ball through two tables was enough to give The Creeds the victory.
My Score: 4 out of 5 Match #2: Tiffany Stratton vs. Fallon Henley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Before their match could start, Tiffany Stratton blindsided Fallon Henley.
