I didn’t start seeing a therapist until my mid-20s. I’d been at odds with my mental health at the time and always tried to not let it bother me until I could convince myself that that sense of unease would go away. After all, ignoring the pressure and muscling through the pain I was feeling got me through my lonely high school years, my arduous college years, and my first two decades of living as a straight cis male. Aside from that, I never truly believed that my issues were severe enough that I would have deserved a therapist. It wasn’t that I didn’t understand the value of therapy, but I long held myself to an impossible standard wherein I did not feel entitled to one. But as I got older, I started to see the difference between having a professional to consult about my...

General Hospital Spoilers – Who Is Ric Lansing?
The name “Lansing” will be familiar to even new viewers of the show since he’s the birth father of Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
He was Port Charles’ District Attorney from 2006-2008, and Assistant District Attorney, a position now held by daughter Molly from 2003-2004.
He is also Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) half-brother from Sonny’s mother, Adela Corinthos’ (Iris Almario) affair with Trevor Lansing (Stephen Macht).
Even though Sonny and Ric were raised apart and their lives took different paths, Ric would not be considered a straight arrow good guy.

Maggie Lindemann was introduced to us as a purveyor of pristine pop anthems at the start of her career. However, she’s truly come into herself as one of the industry’s most promising young rockers.
The 25-year-old hitmaker left songs like the wispy “Things” and infectious “Obsessed” in the past, trading them in for plucky anthems with hard-hitting productions. Her career well and truly took flight with her EP Paranoia in 2021, and her debut album Suckerpunch followed the following year.
She’s back again with her latest EP Headsplit, and Maggie delivers edgy, reflective songs reminiscent of acts like Evanescence across the 8-song tracklist. Fans in Los Angeles will have the opportunity to experience the project live in the coming months with two performances recently announced.
Ahead of that, we had the opportunity to catch up with Maggie to discuss Headsplit. She opened up about her evolution, touching on...

In Patty Jenkins' bonkers superhero sequel "Wonder Woman 1984," a smarmy yuppie named Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) has discovered an ancient wishing stone that can grant him one wish, but only in exchange for something valuable to him. Maxwell, rather than making a wish, gets clever, wishing to absorb the powers of the stone, and become a wishing object himself. When someone touches him and makes a wish, he has the power to grant it, but can now make vocal demands in exchange. He essentially wishes for more wishes.
A mousy nerd named Barbara Minvera (Kristen Wiig), who works with Wonder Woman's secret identity Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), clearly has a crush on her, coveting Diana's assured demeanor. Barbara also has a chance to make a wish on the wishing stone and wishes to be more like Diana, not knowing that Diana is an immortal demigoddess with superpowers. Barbara's superpowers,...

Possession takes over Christine and the Queens in a new video for “Angels Crying in My Bed,” a track off Chris’ recently released Paranoïa, Angels, True Love album. In the clip, which showcases a live performance in the Vevo Studio, Chris twists and contorts his body, swiveling his pelvis and swaying jerkily like a marionette while singing about feeling lost and wondering if he’ll ever overcome his sadness. The music veers from R&b to pop to prog-rock in the space of four minutes as the song’s tone becomes more serious.

Wait a minute, you might be asking, isn’t HBO Max supposed to be “Max” now? How then, am I seeing a list of HBO Max new releases for May 2023? Well spotted, dear reader. Warner Bros. Discovery did indeed recently reveal that it would be rebranding its combined HBO Max and Discovery+ streaming service as just Max. As the company notes in its press release for May though, that change doesn’t take effect until May 23. What follows is a list of everything coming to HBO Max through May 22.
The biggest releases this month are two TV series that arrive at the beginning of May. White House Plumbers is a comedic take on the infamous Watergate scandal starring Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux. That will be followed by season 3 of The Other Two, which I personally consider the funniest show on television. Catch up now before it’s too late!

HBO Max will officially be replaced by Warner Bros. Discovery on May 23 with a new and improved service called Max. However, that doesn’t mean the service is scrimping on content until then. One of the biggest new releases of the month is the new limited series “White House Plumbers,” which will premiere on May 1. Starring Woody Harrelson as E. Howard Hunt and Justin Theroux as G. Gordon Liddy, the pair portray two real-life Watergate burglars and Nixon saboteurs who ended up destroying the very president they desperately wanted to serve.
Check out the “White House Plumbers” trailer:

HBO Max will add several exciting new TV show premieres and movies to its catalog in May 2023 before being rebranded as “Max.” After launching in 2020 as the primary streaming home for Warner Bros – now Warner Bros. Discovery – titles, HBO Max is officially losing the first half of its name in a rebranding come May 23. After this point, the streaming service will be launched as Max, which will also come with some changes to subscription tiers. Nevertheless, HBO Max will still be releasing new hit titles between May 1 and 22 under the original brand, which includes the premiere of a highly anticipated HBO miniseries and the arrival of classic film franchises.

Kvelertak have announced their fifth studio album Endling, out September 8th, and shared the lead single “Krøterveg Te Helvete.”
The Norwegian heavy rockers have made their name with a classic-rock infused take on extreme metal, and “Krøterveg Te Helvete” should satiate longtime fans with its breakneck speed and visceral hooks. The track manages to equally evoke Refused-esque hardcore and the black metal of Kvelertak’s homeland.
“‘Krøterveg Te Helvete’ is a celebration of the intolerable levels of hardships of being in a popular rock band in 2023,” the band remarked in a press release.
Endling will arrive three years after Kvelertak’s last effort, Splid, marking the band’s second LP with singer Ivar Nikolaisen, who joined the band in 2018 following the departure of Erlend Hjelvik.

Director Nicolas Winding Refn is set to develop a series adaptation of the cult film franchise Maniac Cop. The series is set to be produced by HBO and Refn will serve as showrunner and will direct the entire series with John Hyams.
Set in Los Angeles, “Maniac Cop is said to be told through a kaleidoscope of characters, from cop to common criminal. A killer in uniform has uncaged mayhem upon the streets. Paranoia leads to social disorder as a city wrestles with the mystery of the exterminator in blue. Is he mere mortal, or a supernatural force?”
It sounds like the kind of project that will fit with Refn’s style. In a statement he talked about what they are looking to explore:
“I’ve always been a devoted admirer of John Hyams. We’ve been talking about a re-imagining of the ‘Maniac Cop’ films for a number of years,...

It is a glorious week to be a horror fan, because we have a ton of amazing Blu-rays and DVDs heading home on Tuesday. And while there’s a lot to be excited about, on a personal note, I’m beyond thrilled that Anna and the Apocalypse is finally getting a tangible home media release, because I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to add a copy of John McPhail’s delightful musical to my own collection of movies.
Beyond that, the amazing-looking House of Hitchcock Collection arrives this Tuesday, and looks to be a must-own set for any Alfred Hitchcock fans out there. Kino Lorber is showing some love to Nightmare Beach this week with their special edition release, and Arrow Video has put together a much-deserved limited edition set for The Prey as well. We also have a few genre favorites making their 4K Ultra HD debut this week: The Shining,...

Dark humour and Red Dwarf-ish charm make this retro-feeling RPG one to watch...
This article comes from Den of Geek UK.
Last month, Den of Geek flew over to Dublin to try out Paranoia: Happiness Is Mandatory, an upcoming RPG for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 that takes its inspiration from a tabletop game from 1984 called Paranoia. The project has been developed in the Irish capital at the snazzy offices of Cyanide and Black Shamrock, with Bigben Interactive due to publish the title in October.
Sitting around a boardroom table with various executives and developers, some of whom even worked on the classic tabletop game, it's obvious that there is no shortage of passion here. People talk with genuine enthusiasm about the original title's dark sense of humor, and its propensity to encourage betrayals between players, and how they've tried to translate that quirky experience into a...

Paranoia is a hell of a drug; feeding on your insecurities until you crumble in a mess of shattered nerves and broken reality. Such is the case with The Brotherhood of the Bell (1970), a tautly wound conspiracy thriller that plays like a top-tier satanic cult TV movie.
Originally broadcast as part of The CBS Thursday Night Movies, Bell was beat by NBC’s Ironside/The Dean Martin Show line-up, but for fans of first rate suspense, the Eye saw all that night.
Let’s open up our ear-marked TV Guide to see what secrets lurk therein:
The Brotherhood Of The Bell
The secret society that a college professor belongs to will stop at nothing to silence him before he tells the world the truth about their insidious dealings. Glenn Ford, Dean Jagger star.

Charles Roven’s Atlas Entertainment has acquired the rights to Joseph Finder’s thriller “Judgment,” and plans to adapt the novel into a series, Variety has learned exclusively.
The novel centers on Juliana Brody, a formidable judge in the Superior Court of Massachusetts. After a one-night affair with a man she meets at a conference, Juliana quickly realizes she’s being blackmailed, and her night of infidelity was captured on video. As the terrifying conspiracy unfolds, it becomes clear that personal humiliation, even the possible destruction of her career, are the least of her concerns: and that turning the tables on her adversaries will require her to be as ruthless as they are.
Roven, who produced “The Dark Knight” and “Wonder Woman,” will executive produce the series alongside Atlas president Richard Suckle. Atlas’ Robert Amidon, who brought the project to the company, will serve as a producer. The company’s...

Paranoia is the name of the game in the Billions season 4 premiere, and what a game it is.
This Billions review contains spoilers.
Billions Season 4 Episode 1
For most of the show’s first three seasons, Billions has become quite adept at balancing the competing narratives of former U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) and billionaire hedge fund manager Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Damian Lewis). But the season three finale significantly changed this dynamic when Rhoades and Axelrod’s delicate alliance was shattered on two different fronts. Now, with the season four premiere, “Chucky Rhoades’s Greatest Game,” the balance of power now rests on at leastthree different sets of shoulders.
Rhoades’s attempt to oust his boss, U.S. Attorney General Waylon “Jock” Jeffcoat (Clancy Brown), last season utterly failed. As a result, he has been cast back down to the very bottom of the power ladder, where he must...

After last weekend saw a franchise record debut for Universal and DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, this weekend serves as something of the calm before the storm that will be Captain Marvel, which the industry is counting on to give the 2019 box office the jolt it sorely needs. As for this weekend, Hidden World will remain at #1, hoping to hold on more like the first film in the franchise than the second, while Lionsgate debuts Tyler Perry's A Madea Family Funeral and Focus will release the thriller Greta. Additionally, this past weekend's Oscar winners find themselves expanding back into theaters, led by Best Picture winner Green Book. Following a better-than-expected debut last weekend, Universal's release of DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon 3 will remain the top film at the weekend box office this weekend, the question is whether it delivers a performance more like the first film,...
