Over the years, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has worn many faces. He has been a figment of Billy Butcher’s imagination; he has been a psychopath among The Walking Dead, a horrible father to Sam and Dean Winchester, and even starred in the occasional rom-com. However, many may think that his career trajectory did not start when he played John Winchester in Supernatural.

Although Morgan has played many iconic characters in his career, the very first role that can be labeled as the same has to be Denny Duquette in Grey’s Anatomy. Playing the character in three seasons of the series, he was beloved in more ways than one.
During an interview, Morgan talked about how starring in the series made him a heartthrob and kick-started his career into what it is today.

It’s been eleven years since Breaking Bad concluded its five-season run, and while the cast members have gone on separate ways, they have surely made unforgettable memories that would last a lifetime. From filming on set to doing press tours, each of them has inevitably shown their quirky sides.

Bryan Cranston, however, left a very distinct memory on his co-star, Aaron Paul, with his hilariously mischievous pranks. It’s no wonder, though, that he might have been channeling his onscreen character, Walter White.

The third season of "Star Trek: Enterprise" featured a massive story arc wherein a mysterious, unknown spheroid weapon appears above Earth and obliterates the state of Florida, killing millions. The sphere was send by an equally mysterious, unknown species called the Xindi, a species Earth had never heard of before. The Enterprise takes on a new retinue of weapons-toting Marines and treks out into the stars seeking the culprit ... and revenge. Captain Archer (Scott Bakula) goes from a wide-eyed adventurer to a bloodthirsty weirdo pretty quickly. The season aired in 2003, so it's reasonable to assume the "Enterprise" writers were trying to stage a salient 9/11 metaphor.
The Xindi, it turns out, are actually five intelligent separate species that evolved simultaneously on the same planet. There are Primates, like humans, but also lemur-like Arborials, grasshopper-like Insectoids, the underwater Aquatics, and the cruel and violent Reptilians. Archer also discovers that the Xindi were...

It’s safe to say that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has had something of an identity problem. Initially conceived as a “roadshow” set in the US and centered on the characters of Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus), the show then moved to France and lost McBride. The first season then built a new premise around Daryl stuck in France and contemplating a new life with nun Isabelle and her “chosen one” nephew Laurent. However, when McBride then returned to the show for the second season, it’s clear the decision was made to then pivot back to the original concept, but set in Europe.
These massive changes have left the show — and especially season 2, subtitled The Book of Carol — something of a jumble as the old version of the plot was phased out to make way for the new one. Despite this messy premise, the show...

AMC Networks is leaning into a strategy that gives its direct-to-consumer streaming service AMC Plus greater visibility by syndicating certain elements of its content library to other streaming services, executives confirmed on Friday.
The evolution of the plan follows what executives considered a successful test run between AMC Networks and Warner Bros Discovery (Wbd) last year, during which content from AMC Plus was offered through Wbd-owned streaming service Max for a little over a month.
During the company’s third financial quarter (Q3) of the year, AMC Networks built on those partnerships, launching “The AMC Networks” on Netflix with past episodes of 13 AMC series. It also swapped content with Amazon, sending nine of it shows to MGM Plus while receiving nine MGM Plus...

AMC Networks has acquired full control of BBC America, its joint venture with BBC Studios.
The U.S. media company has owned a 49.9% stake in the channel since 2014, which it purchased for $200 million in a deal with BBC Worldwide. With this new transaction, which closed Nov. 1, AMC Networks gains the remaining 50.1% of BBC America in exchange for $42 million in cash.
Per AMC Networks’ Q3 earnings results, which were released Friday, AMC Networks “now owns 100% of the BBC America business, with full operational control, and will continue to fully consolidate BBC America.”
Along with “Mad Men,” “The Walking Dead” and “Breaking Bad,” some of the shows AMC Networks is best known for are past BBC America hits and critical darlings, including “Killing Eve,” “Orphan Black” and “Doctor Who” (which now airs on Disney+).
AMC Networks says “future contractual programming commitments to BBC Studios would have been significantly reduced,” had the deal been closed by Sept.

AMC Networks — the company behind such cable channel brands as AMC, IFC and Sundance TV, as well as such streaming services as AMC+, Acorn TV and horror streamer Shudder — reported a 10 percent drop in third-quarter U.S. advertising revenue to $133 million on Friday. It cited “linear ratings declines and a challenging ad market, partly offset by digital and advanced advertising revenue growth.”
Quarterly affiliate revenue decreased 13 percent to $164 million, “primarily due to basic subscriber declines.”
After returning to streaming subscriber growth in the third quarter of last year after two quarters of declines, the company added around 200,000 users in the latest quarter to end September with a total of 11.8 million subs, compared with 11.6 million as of the end of June.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe came back in a big way in 2024, and after complaints that superhero fatigue was tanking the world’s highest-grossing franchise, it seems all we needed was a bit of camp to bring things back around. Despite the lauded legacy of Jac Schaeffer’s WandaVision, the idea of focusing an entire spinoff on Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness seemed like a gamble. Boasting a diverse cast of LGBTQ+ actors and promises from Aubrey Plaza (Aubrey Plaza) that it would be a "gay explosion" meant that fans had to deal with the usual cries that the MCU has gone ‘woke.’
Thankfully, while The Marvels felt the wrath of those unable to handle a movie led by women, Agatha All Along has defied expectations. From debuting one of the most important gay characters from Marvel Comics to giving us the MCU’s first lesbian kiss, Agatha All Along did...

The season 2 finale of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon had a little of everything, from Daryl singing to bioluminescent zombies in the eerie depths of the Channel Tunnel. It concluded The Book of Carol in an unexpected way, seeing both Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) head to England. But the journey is far from smooth, with the duo encountering a wholly new type of zombie.
After scurrying away from the post-apocalyptic French revolution, both Daryl and Carol found themselves heading to the relative sanctuary of England. While they don't know what awaits them there, it's sure to be a safer place than France, where the country was at war.
However, in order to cross the border, they must venture through the Eurostar tunnel, an old railway line fallen to disrepair after the apocalypse. Naturally, the walkers that lurk in the darkness have changed with their environment. Now they're bioluminescent messes,...

After hitting it big in the late 90s, thanks to Dharma & Greg‘s unexpected success, which earned her a Golden Globe win, Jenna Elfman’s presence in showbiz dwindled out in the years that followed. While the actress has starred in several sitcoms since, those releases weren’t able to replicate the buzz of Dharma & Greg, which lasted for five seasons.

Another major factor has been the actress’ devotion to Scientology and her personal life. Moreover, it seems Elfman is quite contained with her life outside of showbiz.

Back in 1986, David Cronenberg directed a remake of Kurt Neumann’s 1958 sci-fi horror classic The Fly (which was based on George Langelaan’s short story) – and the result is considered to be one of the best remakes of all time. 20th Century Fox, now the Disney subsidiary 20th Century Studios, has been wanting to replicate that success with another remake for a couple of decades now… but the project has never managed to escape from development hell. Cronenberg wanted to come back and make another Fly movie, but it fell apart over budgetary issues. Screenwriter Todd Lincoln wrote a remake of The Fly that he described as a “dark, twisted, grounded re- imagining… Part Val-Lewton, part J.G. Ballard, part Neal Stephenson with some Horror Manga touches.” The studio wasn’t into it. J.D. Dillard was attached to direct a new version of The Fly for years, then stepped away from it.

The season 2 finale of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has arrived! Although both Losang and Genet are dead, that isn't stopping the survivors of both causes from continuing their mission of finding Laurent. Will Laurent be able to escape via Ash's airplane? Who will the third passenger in the airplane be?
Laurent finally escapes Louis Puech Scigliuzzi as Laurent - The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon _ Season 2, Episode 6 - Photo Credit: Stéphanie Branchu/AMC
The episode begins rather quickly, allowing Daryl to have one final conversation with Laurent while playing the guitar and allowing Carol one last attempt to apologize to Ash. In both cases, Daryl and Carol, without speaking to each other, have chosen themselves to stay behind.
What they don't realize is that the remnants of Losang and Genet's group is hot on their trail, finding Fallou and Codron while they search an abandoned mental hospital for supplies.

What if you were trapped in a bunker with Tilda Swinton, and she kept breaking out into song?
That’s (an extremely reductive version of) the premise for “The End,” director Joshua Oppenheimer’s oddball post-apocalyptic musical, for which Neon released a trailer on Monday. That’s (an extremely reductive version of) the premise for “The End,” director Joshua Oppenheimer’s oddball post-apocalyptic musical, for which Neon released a trailer on Monday. Almost three years have gone by since Joshua Oppenheimer, the director behind the documentaries The Act of Killing and The Look of Silence, announced that he was teaming up with Neon to make his narrative feature debut with The End, “a golden-age musical about the last human family.” That film went into production last year, with a cast that includes Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin), Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water), George MacKay (1917), Moses Ingram (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Bronagh Gallagher (Pulp Fiction), Tim McInnerny (Notting Hill), Lennie James (The Walking Dead), and Danielle Ryan (The Silencing). Now it’s making the festival rounds, building up to a December theatrical release. The film is scheduled to start playing in New York and Los Angeles on December 6th, with the limited release expanding on December 13th. As those dates are swiftly approaching, a trailer for The End has...

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, The Book of Carol, ended with Daryl and Carol heading through the Channel Tunnel. Looking ahead to season 3, the duo will end up on English shores for the first time ever, marking the first time the franchise has visited that part of the world.
The Daryl Dixon season 2 finale was an action-packed, crazy hour of television. Fleeing France, both Daryl and Carol made their way down the dark and cavernous Channel Tunnel — once the railway that went between England and France — where they encountered myriad troubles. The zombies down there had become veiny, mutated messes, unlike anything we've seen before. Moreover, toxic gasses meant our duo were hallucinating throughout their journey.
But by the end of the episode, it's presumed that they make it to England safe and sound... well, still alive, at least. That's exactly where the season ends. Looking ahead to season...

It wouldn’t be a far-fetched statement to say that the battle royale genre owes much of its success to Pubg. Krafton and Pubg Studios’ battle royale set the gaming world on fire when it came out and quickly became the biggest phenomenon in the industry. Its reign hasn’t lasted forever though.

Although Fortnite claimed the genre’s crown long ago, its removal from Apple’s App Store in many regions could be an opportunity for Pubg to reclaim its standing. By expanding into new projects and making the original games better, Pubg Studios is setting the stage for a return to the spotlight.

[This story contains major spoilers from the season finale of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol.]
The Walking Dead viewers don’t always get what they want. But more often than not, Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier get what they need.
In the season finale of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride’s O.G. zombie-fighters finally escape France, but not exactly as they hoped. Heading into the hour, the fan-favorite duo were set to split from one another, as clutch rescue pilot Ash (Manish Dayal) couldn’t fit them both on his plane. Daryl decides to stay, despite Carol wanting to take his place in the sacrifice play. In the end, both of them get to stick around, thanks to the last gasps of the French autocrat army showing up right before takeoff.
Outgunned, Daryl briefly appears outnumbered until Carol shows up right in the nick of time to save his hide.

if someone had told you in 2010 that The Walking Dead Universe would still be carrying on in 2024 (and through to 2025), you might not have believed them. Nobody would blame you for that, because even with the franchise's popularity at the time, long-running science fiction or fantasy shows weren't as regular a thing back then. But the franchise has withstood the test of time, as the main show ran for 11 seasons and produced two spinoffs throughout that run.
The franchise now lives on in the form of three spinoffs, two of which are still ongoing. The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live was a standalone miniseries that wrapped up the arcs of Rick Grimes and Michonne, while both Daryl Dixon, and Dead City are ongoing shows that were renewed for new seasons after their debut outings.

In the pre-season promotion for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol, Norman Reedus repeatedly said he believed the finale was the best hour of The Walking Dead that had ever been made. Inevitably, it isn’t, but it’s a shame because while it cannot compete with the likes of "The Grove "or "Terminus," it’s not a bad episode. “Au Revoir Les Enfant” (Goodbye Children) gives us some vastly needed closure and the promise of a better future.
Much of the first half of the episode takes place at the racetrack where Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride) are deciding who will go on Ash’s (Manish Dayal) plane back to the US with Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi). As with so much of this season, Daryl’s motivations for offering to stay behind remain muddy. Is he offering to stay behind out of nobility, or does...

Breaking Bad is often tagged as one of the best series in the history of television, but more than its captivating and intense plot, the characters were pretty much the core of the show. Bryan Cranston’s Walter White was the epic protagonist who made a slow but shocking 180-degree turn throughout the franchise’s five-season run.

This was a risky move for series creator Vince Gilligan because many viewers would lose their support and sympathy for the lead character. Despite the possibility, he and Cranston moved toward this direction.

Daryl Dixon season 2 may not have been too unique with the character arcs and the fate of our favorites, but the makers have surely had their fun coming up with the conflicts in the Daryl-centric spin-off. I don’t know about you, but I certainly didn’t see that ending coming. This might also be one of the handful of times things have transcended to almost a horror status in The Walking Dead universe. But the way Daryl Dixon has chosen to end the second season is arguably the most unexpected turn to horror the whole franchise has ever taken.

We can all agree upon the fact that the zombie genre, despite being done to death, is functionally immortal when it comes to pop culture. “The Walking Dead” franchise is still going on (even though the spin-off shows have mostly been so-so); “The Last of Us” has an excellent HBO adaptation of the first game, and the second one is on the pipeline; and then every now and then a zombie movie/series pops up. It only proves that the appeal of this genre is not dying down, and a movie like Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End is a burning example of that. Directed by Carles Torrens, the movie is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Spanish author Manel Loureiro. Since I haven’t read the novel, it is hard for me to say how faithful the movie remains to the book, but as a movie,...

The Gabriel Macht starrer Suits was one of the most popular shows of the 2010s. Featuring Macht as New York’s best closer and Mvp of Pearson Hardman, Harvey Specter, the show gained a cult following and ran for nine seasons before ending in 2019. It also starred Patrick J. While the show took one stab at a spinoff with the Torres-led Pearson, it only lasted ten episodes. However, since the original series has found a new set of audiences since its Netflix debut, a new spinoff series Suits L.A. was reportedly picked up by NBC. About a year and half ago, it was announced that The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman will be producing a remake of the 1956 horror film The Mole People (watch it Here) for Universal Pictures… and while we wait for further updates on that project, Deadline has revealed that there’s a different “mole people” project coming our way from Rob Savage, the director of the Stephen King adaptation The Boogeyman and the screen life horror films Host and Dashcam. This one is called Molepeople and has Anthony Ramos (Twisters) and Ben Mendelsohn (Animal Kingdom) attached to star in it.

It’s Halloween and the highest-selling comics author of the decade, including the biggest horror title in the business, is going to stay in his Brooklyn apartment and watch some movies.
Oh, sure, there may be some friends over, but James Tynion IV is trying to keep it low-key, with 1980s flicks The Monster Squad, Return of the Living Dead, and Re-Animator on the home marquee. The author is still recovering from New York Comic-Con, where he and his eight-person company, Tiny Onion, which is backed by Lyrical Media, had a major presence. He is the rare comic author that has books across all the major publishers save Marvel, almost all creator-owned. There’s also a Substack newsletter. And a fledgling media division that seeks to catapult those books into various mediums.
