Thorfinn describes landing in North America and getting stranded seven winters (years) after the Battle of Svolder. This is a real battle fought in 1000 AD on the Baltic Sea, between King Olaf of Norway and a coalition of the Kings and of Sweden and Denmark, and the jarls of Norway. Olaf sought to unify Norway under his rule. His Christian rule. After taking power from the "foreign" rulers, Olaf (who abandoned his English wife to return to Norway) began a campaign of murder and torture to convert the country to Christianity.

The high standard continues.

Work halts on the house when a set of bones are found in the gardens, Thorfinn identifies them as his, Jay had a decision to make, to cash in, or exceed to Thors demands.

They've definitely gone a little more adult with the humour, it feels as though it's aimed at a slightly older audience, and as I said in the previous episode, I think they've sexed it up a little.

Thorfinn has been the standout character so far, I just love his story, and his presence, he's a beast of a guy, and it comes as no surprise that he gets his own story very early on.

This show found its feet very quickly, and again, I cannot really find any fault, it's charming, it's funny, it's so watchable.

8/10.
