After nearly two decades of having differences with each other, actors Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat, who became famous for their sizzling chemistry in Anurag Basu’s 2004 erotic thriller “Murder,” have finally reconciled. The two were seen hugging and posing for pictures together at a wedding reception in April this year. Despite Sherawat dismissing their feud as “childish” back in 2021, it took another three years for them to reunite publicly.

Director Raj Mehta’s (of JugJugg Jeeyo) ‘Selfiee’ is a comedy-drama film, a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film ‘Driving Licence’ that featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Mumbai, Feb 23 (Ians) Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who will be soon seen in the upcoming film “Selfiee”, is set to give up his Canadian passport and has applied to get his citizenship status changed.

In the past, the superstar had stated that he would change his passport to that of India but owing to the delays induced by the Covid-19 pandemic, he wasn’t able to do so. But, now it looks like the actor will soon get an Indian passport.

During an interview in the first episode of the new season of “Seedhi Baat” on news channel Aajtak, Akshay said: “India is everything to me. Mumbai, Feb 22 (Ians) Actor Akshay Kumar has broken a Guinness World Record for the most self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken in three minutes at a meet-and-greet with fans in Mumbai for the promotion of his upcoming movie ‘Selfiee’.

The superstar is the title holder with 184 selfies.

Akshay Kumar has broken the previously held world record of 168 self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken in three minutes by James Smith (USA) aboard the Carnival Dream cruise ship on 22 January 2018. Earlier to this, in 2015 global icon and Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson held this record with 105 self-portrait photographs (selfies) in three minutes at the premiere of San Andreas in London.

Akshay said: I am ecstatic at breaking this unique World Record and sharing this moment with my fans! Everything that I have achieved so far and where I am at this moment of my life, is due to the unconditional love and support of my fans everywhere.

Actress Mrunal Thakur recalled shooting for the dance number, ‘Kudiye Ni Teri Vibe’ from the movie ‘Selfiee’ featuring Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty, and Nushrratt Bharuccha.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar shared a video from a wedding celebration where he is seen dancing with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in a baraat.
