      Originally titled Sugarloaf, the series was set to take place in the Tampa Bay metro area.
    • Goofs
      The show is based in an Everglades community. However, many times Jim Longworth travels north to cities such as Ocala or Cassadaga, which are 3-4 hours away from any coastal Everglades cities. Not enough time has passed in the episode to allow for these trips there and back.

      Jim Longworth: [title sequence narration] Some say I don't play well with others. I was a damned good detective in Chicago until a disagreement with my boss encouraged me to pack it up and make a change. So I put the Windy City in my rearview and headed to the Sunshine State to kick back, play some golf, work on my tan, maybe write the occasional speeding ticket. Yeah, well, that didn't work out.

    Last Episode

    I really liked this series. Until the end of the last episode, that is. Oh, it started out okay, but the ending! It upset me so much, that I couldn't sleep. Sick writers that came up with that ending. Don't want to spoil it for anyone, but it was not a happy ending! And I'm still upset about it.
