As a fan of the British version, I was eager to watch the American version of Ghosts when it began last fall. While I still prefer the British version, the American version has become one of the best new comedies this year. The episode "Jay's Sister" continues to cement this opinion. There are numerous funny jokes in this episode, most of which are NSFW. Although I did not initially like all of the characters when this show began, the characters have grown on me and this episode continues to improve my affinity for these characters. The one main aspect of the show that makes me prefer the British version is that the storylines and character development in the American version feel rushed and not fully fleshed out. For instance, with the "Jay's Sister" episode, the idea of Trevor having a romance with Bela is a storyline that could have been developed over several episodes. Instead, the show wrapped up the entire plot in one twenty minute episode. But on the whole, Ghosts and in particular "Jay's Sister" are still quality comedy that is worth watching. 7/10
