Fans had a sad departure when Cavill left Netflix’s The Witcher following a creative difference between him and showrunner Lauren Schmidt. However, they felt justified when Cavill claimed that the series did not respect the source material enough to create a proper adaptation.

Earlier this year, Brown was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars for his role in Cord Jefferson’s “American Fiction” and appeared with Jennifer Lopez and Simu Liu in Netflix’s “Atlas.” Previous credits include Emmy-winning performances in “The People v. When Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, the Disney-owned Marvel Comics gained the ability to make comic books based on the Predator franchise. They started releasing Predator comics in 2022, and in 2023 they brought us a four-issue limited series crossover between the Predator and one of their most popular characters, Wolverine. This year, we got another limited series crossover, Predator Versus Black Panther… and fans who read the fourth and final issue of that crossover (which just reached store shelves last week) saw that the next series was teased at the end: in April of 2025, we’ll be getting Predator Versus Spider-Man!
Details on the crossover are scarce at this time, but we do know that Predator Versus Spider-Man is coming from writer Benjamin Percy, who also wrote Predator Versus Wolverine and Predator Versus Black Panther, and Avengers Assemble artist Marcelo Ferreira. A variant cover by Pepe Larraz and Marte Gracia can...

Sean Diddy Combs Denied Bail For The Third Time? (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Sean Diddy Combs will not return home anytime soon as a judge has rejected his recent bail request. It was the disgraced rapper’s third unsuccessful attempt at securing bail ahead of his trial set in 2025.
During a recent hearing, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian rebuffed Diddy’s outrageous request to ditch jail time and await his trial on a private island. “That is not going to work,” the judge mouthed to the rapper.
Diddy has been held at New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center since getting arrested in September this year on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Following the latest bail denial, the 55-year-old will remain behind bars, much to his displeasure.

Zendaya took 300 kids to watch Black Panther (Photo Credit – Instagram/Facebook)
Zendaya? Yeah, she’s the queen of generosity. In 2018, the Greatest Showman star went full superhero mode by taking 300 kids from her hometown of Oakland to see Black Panther. No, this wasn’t some VIP event—this was a genuine love letter to her community. Zendaya tweeted, “Wakanda forever…Oakland forever,” as she celebrated her hometown squad because nothing screams “community hero” like showing up for the next generation.
And this wasn’t a one-and-done moment. Zendaya teased that she’d do it again for A Wrinkle in Time. The woman had a plan to keep the good vibes rolling.
But Zendaya wasn’t alone in this epic mission. Kids lost it at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta when they found out they’d be heading to the theater to see Black Panther as part of a lesson plan.

If your thirst for non-stop action isn’t sated by the bloodletting in “Gladiator II,” take a gander at previous epics like “Spartacus” and “Ben-Hur,” which both heavily influenced the original “Gladiator.”
We’ve also thrown in some cinematic suggestions that go beyond Ancient Rome, with sprawling battles in West Africa, Persia, Spain, Japan and Norway, and confrontations that don’t necessarily involve a sword and shield.
Behold some great, epic action movies like “Gladiator II” to watch next.
(Universal Pictures) Gladiator (2000)
The Oscar-winning Ridley Scott epic is obviously the template for the new sequel, but if for some reason you haven’t seen Russell Crowe’s Maximus (almost) single-handedly upending the Roman Empire, you should remedy that with due speed. The film, which won five Oscars, including one for Crowe as Best Actor, is always worth revisiting, especially in light of the many callbacks in the new film. Strength and honor!

Spoilers for "Gladiator II" follow.
It makes for a refreshing change of pace that one of the biggest films of the year doesn't come with a costumed crime fighter or Tom Cruise leaping small buildings in a single bound. Instead, all eyes are on Paul Mescal squaring up against a rhino and the corrupt Roman Empire in "Gladiator II." Harking back to the big-screen epics of old just like the film that preceded it, Ridley Scott's return to the era of togas and treacherous rulers has plenty of sword and sandal based action, but there are some beats that might feel familiar to both Marvel and DC fans in regards to certain characters.
While "Gladiator II" director Ridley Scott may have turned down some superhero movies, there are a few heroes and villains in his latest film that mirror twists and turns reminiscent of some highly-talked about moments in comic book movie history.

Kendrick Lamar has decided to strike while the iron is hot. On Nov. 22 he released a brand new album, “Gnx,” completely out of nowhere (listen to it below). It arrived just minutes after he posted this preview video online. This follows his 2022 album “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers,” which won him a Grammy for Best Rap Album, his third win in that category from the Recording Academy.
This caps a year for Lamar that has been eventful to say the least. He became embroiled in a public beef with fellow rapper Drake that resulted in the two men trading diss tracks back and forth. That exchange of verbal shots culminated in Lamar’s single “Not Like Us,” which broke out to become one of the defining hits of the summer and one of the biggest hits of Lamar’s career. After Disney bought Fox Studios in 2019, Marvel became the new home for all Predator and Alien comics. While it hasn’t been confirmed if Marvel’s ‘Predator’ comics are part of the official Marvel Universe, they do make for some really interesting storylines.
In the four-issue ‘Predator vs. Black Panther’ series, written by Benjamin Percy with artists Chris Allen, Sean Hill, and Lee Ferguson, Wakanda’s warriors face off against a Yautja clan of alien hunters.
The Yautja are hunting for Vibranium, known as Godmetal, which is Wakanda’s most valuable resource. The clash turns Wakanda into a battleground as the Yautja search for the precious metal that King T’Challa and his ancestors have protected for centuries.
The mostly even fight finally came to an end with ‘Predator Vs. Black Panther’ #4, it wrapped up in a satisfying way while teasing a crossover with Spider-Man.

It's a time of change for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What started as a huge and expansive project in the Multiverse Saga has led to more, unexpected change, as Marvel Studios has had to consider which of its newer titles were worth investing in based on some negative fan response and poor showings on their respective platforms. This is Marvel we are talking about, so they are still in a very good place, but it has taken a number of blows that it hadn't before, leading to some creative decisions being made about its future.
The long-awaited Secret Invasion received an overwhelmingly negative response from just about anyone who watched it (even the most devoted of fans weren't happy about certain creative choices) and other projects that received something of a lukewarm response may or may not return for future outings.

By the time Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters in 2026, it will have been seven years since Avengers: Endgame's release. While you can deduct a couple of years for the pandemic and Hollywood strikes, that's still an awful long time to leave Earth's Mightiest Heroes on the shelf.
Heading into the last wave of storytelling for the Multiverse Saga, we anticipate seeing multiple teams, including the New Avengers (a.k.a. the Thunderbolts) and Young Avengers assemble to do battle with Doctor Doom.

This isn't the first time we've heard of possible plans for the team and them coming together is something that's been speculated about ever since T'Challa set up a base in California in 2018's Black Panther.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe loves sequels. Heck, if you think about it; 33 of its 34 movies are essentially sequels, carrying on the story of the shared universe that first made its presence felt in 2008's Iron Man. But even if you don't class them as sequels, there are sequels within the franchise.
Within the 34 movies, Iron Man was the star of his own trilogy, as was Captain America, Ant-Man, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Spider-Man. Thor has produced four movies thus far, while fourth installments of the Spider-Man and Captain America franchises are on the way too. Oh yeah, and The Avengers have led four movies thus far, with two more in development.
But sequels aren't guaranteed, as recent reports suggest that Eternals 2, Ant-Man 4, and Captain Marvel 3 may have been scrapped by the studio after their predecessors underperformed. And that raises questions about some of the other sequels that...

Denzel Washington is planning to wrap up his famous acting career with a few final ventures. During a recent interview with Australia’s Today show, the 69-year-old Oscar winner hinted at his upcoming retirement, indicating that he plans to focus on chosen parts before leaving the screen.

One of the projects capturing public attention is his rumored involvement in the Black Panther franchise. While a third Black Panther film has yet to be officially confirmed, Washington revealed that director Ryan Coogler is reportedly crafting a role for him.

It began with 2008’s “Iron Man,” a film that introduced the world to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark with the hint that he could be part of something greater. Over 30 films later, the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still being told, albeit with various tributaries and detours that introduce new characters and new worlds that may or may not cross paths one day. Each film in the MCU stands on its own to some degree, but like building blocks, they all connect as part of one interconnected universe. And in that way, watching the Marvel movies in order tells one grand story.
There are a couple of different ways to watch the Marvel movies in order, but below we run down how to watch the MCU in chronological and release date order. Indeed, some films like “Captain Marvel” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” are full-on prequels...

Marvel Animation has shared new details and stills for two of its most highly anticipated TV shows, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Eyes of Wakanda.
The former, according to the official plot synopsis, "is an animated series that follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we've ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots."
We also have a confirmed cast list: Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy, and Charlie Cox. No character details are provided, though we've heard that Thames is Spider-Man, Domingo is Norman Osborn and, well, Cox is obviously returning as Daredevil.
As for Dancy, rumour has it the Hannibal star is playing Doctor Octopus. That's a fantastic casting decision and one we're sure many of you would like to see carry over into live-action.
More has been revealed about Eyes of Wakanda,...

Denzel Washington kissed a guy, and he’d have liked it to stay in “Gladiator II.”
Washington told Gayety in the below video that a kiss between his character Macrinus and another man was cut from the film because “they weren’t ready for that yet.” While Washington did not clarify who “they” were, the feature is directed by Ridley Scott and is being distributed by Paramount, also the film’s studio. Washington’s character Macrinus does reference having relationships with other men onscreen during the film, though.
“I actually kissed a man in the film but they took it out, they cut it, I think they got chicken,” Washington said. “I kissed a guy full on the lips and I guess they weren’t ready for that yet. I killed him about five minutes later.”
He added, “It’s ‘Gladiator.’ It’s the kiss of death.”

Marvel had a rough year in 2023. Many of its properties underperformed, and they lost their big villain due to Jonathan Majors being fired. Looking forward to their upcoming slate, comic fans have been excited about some of the studio’s projects over the next few years. Will these films help Marvel regain control? The upcoming Thunderbolts film has been one that fanboys have been hoping to see since the MCU started. With some recent news about the property coming up, it seems like the right time to break down what we know about the production.
Who Are The Thunderbolts?
The team first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1997 in an issue of The Incredible Hulk. They seemed to be a new group of superheroes that had arrived on the scene and gained acclaim very quickly. The reader was informed that the group was actually a group of supervillains led by Baron Zemo.

Oscar-nominated actor and Emmy-winning star Sterling K. Brown is reuniting with his “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman for a new thriller series.
Gone is the feel-good, family-friendly tone of ensemble drama “This Is Us”: Instead, Fogelman and Brown’s latest collaboration “Paradise” is pure murder mystery with a government conspiracy twist.
Brown plays a government agent who is questioned after the death of one of his neighbors. The official synopsis reads: “‘Paradise’ is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.”
James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin, and Percy Daggs IV co-star. Marsden has already been part of a quasi-legal series with meta documentary show “Jury Duty.” Meanwhile, Nicholson won an Emmy for her turn in detective show “Mare of Easttown.”

By all accounts, the early reactions to "Gladiator II" paint a picture of an historical epic that isn't afraid to push boundaries in terms of violence, melodrama, and gladiatorial sharks prowling the waters of the Colosseum. For Ridley Scott, all the over-the-top action and exuberant performances feel perfectly in line with the legendary director whose recent work includes "House of Gucci" and "Napoleon." Ultimately, it appears a little smoochin' was just a bridge too far.
In the latest example of the highly-anticipated "Gladiator" sequel flouting historical accuracy, it appears that "Gladiator II" is shying away from depicting the famously queer Roman culture. Star Denzel Washington plays a shady character named Macrinus who's described as a "Roman businessman who has amassed enormous wealth thanks to his acumen and brutal ambition." Washington's committed performance is already creating buzz as a clear highlight of the sequel (read /Film's review by Chris Evangelista...

It was difficult picking the five best comic books of the week. For example, Aliens Vs. Avengers No. 2 was phenomenal, adding to the Alien movie lore that fans loved, along with some tragic moments and well-known Marvel Comics characters. There was also Kelly Thompson’s Birds of Prey which continues to be a must-read series. Nevertheless, I had to break it down to the top five.
Let’s start with the pick of the week (another tough selection).

DC Comics put the right creative team on Absolute Superman. Jason Aaron’s revision of Krypton made for a deeper take on Jor-El and Lara-El. Using the caste system to make a point isn’t something I thought I’d see in comics, but it’s undeniably good. Combine that with Rafa Sandoval’s...

Julius Onah has reportedly been replaced as the director of Captain America: Brave New World. More on the story below.
Captain America: Brave New World is only a few months away, but the stories about its troubled production keep on coming. Last year, Marvel hired a new writer, and in June 2024 came the reports that the studio was spending $100m on reshoots.
World Of Reel now reports that director Julius Onah has – allegedly – been replaced for those reshoots.
The outlet’s source says the director was “in over his head” and is no longer “calling the shots”. Onah will still retain his directing credit, however, and according to the report, the Luce director is being “a good sport” about the whole thing.
Reshoots are said to be still ongoing and scheduled to last until the end of November. The budget has ballooned considerably as a result, and the film now...

Lupita Nyong’o is the newest big name to join Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated but secretive film project. Nyong’o, who starred in this past summer’s alien invasion thriller A Quiet Place: Day One, joins a star-studded cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya.
Nolan wrote and is directing the film, set to be released by Universal Pictures on July 17, 2026. Known for keeping plot details under wraps, this film is no exception. Rumors suggest it could be anything from a period vampire thriller to a helicopter action movie, but sources say no one really knows what Nolan has planned.
Nolan will produce the film with his wife and longtime collaborator, Emma Thomas, under their company, Syncopy, and filming is expected to start in the first half of 2025.

People Magazine announced its 2024 “Sexiest Man Alive” during The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Over the years, many famous men, including a former soap star, have graced the cover.
Soap’s Sexiest Men Alive
The only ex-daytime soap actor ever named People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” was All My Children alum Michael B. Jordan, who took the title in 2020. His post-soap career has included Black Panther, the Creed movies, and 2013’s Fruitvale Station.
Although technically, Brad Pitt did appear in two episodes of Another World back in 1987. Apparently, it was his first speaking role on TV. Pitt would go on to achieve Holywood A-List status and be named “Sexiest Man Alive” twice — in 1995 and 2000.
However, a number of soap stars have appeared in the issues over the years. The Young and the Restless star Shemar Moore was featured in the 2017 issue. He famously told his mom that he’s “still got it.

Christopher Nolan can get just about any and every A-lister he wants in his movies at this point in his career, and the latest to join his new film is another mega star and Oscar-winner: Lupita Nyong’o.

Universal Pictures, which is distributing the film but has yet to confirm it themselves, had no comment.
Nolan’s follow-up to “Oppenheimer,” his 13th feature, will begin shooting in early 2025. Nolan is writing, directing, and producing, and his partner Emma Thomas is also producing via their Syncopy banner.

It looks like Denzel Washington is joining the MCU as the Oscar winner claims to be in Black Panther 3!
It’s still hard to believe how Black Panther took such a strange journey in the MCU. Captain America: Civil War introduced T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), prince of the fictional African nation of Wakanda, whose possession of the mineral vibranium makes them the most technologically advanced country in the world. His 2017 solo film with T’Challa as the heroic Black Panther was not only one of the biggest box office hits in Marvel history but scored an Oscar nomination for Best Picture.
Boseman reprised the role in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame and plans for Panther to take a central role in the MCU. That all ended in August of 2020 when Boseman shockingly passed away of cancer at the stunning young age of 43.
That changed everything as 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever...

Lupita Nyong’o is the latest A-lister to join Christopher Nolan’s much-ballyhooed and much-shrouded feature film project, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

November 22 will be a massive day for Denzel Washington. His role in Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator II” has thrust him into the heart of the Oscar race for Best Supporting Actor, and the film opens in theaters on the same day his son Malcolm Washington’s “The Piano Lesson,” which he produced, streams on Netflix.
But even with his recent hot streak, Washington is eyeing an exit strategy from the film industry. In a recent appearance on Australian “Today” (via Variety), the two-time Oscar winner explained that he has become extremely selective about roles in the final chapter of his career.
“For me, it’s about the filmmakers. Especially at this point in my career, I am only interested in working with the best,” Washington said. “I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make. It’s probably not that many. I want to do things I haven’t done.

Denzel Washington may have just let slip that early development is underway on “Black Panther 3,” and honestly who could blame him? The actor said that Ryan Coogler, who wrote and directed 2018’s Oscar-winning “Black Panther” and the 2022 sequel “Wakanda Forever,” is writing a role for him in a third “Black Panther” movie — which has not yet been announced by Marvel.
The revelation came during a conversation with The Today Show Australia in which Washington, who is next seen stealing scenes in Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator II,” said he likely only has a few roles left in his career. The 69-year-old performer laid out his game plan for the next few projects.

Denzel Washington could be gearing up to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a new role in Black Panther 3 — though the storied actor is obviously doing it on his terms.
In a recent interview on Today (the Australian version, not the U.S. one), Washington said director Ryan Coogler was “writing a part for me in the next Black Panther.” He didn’t say anything more about the part, though, or the follow-up to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Rather, he dropped this nugget in a discussion of how he envisions his final act.

Denzel Washington is heading for Wakanda.
The two-time Oscar winner, currently on a press run for Ridley Scott’s Gladiator sequel, told The Today Show Australia that Ryan Coogler is writing an unspecified role for him in the next Black Panther movie.
Washington let the role slip during the interview when the show’s host asked him whether he still carried any anxieties around starring in flicks like Gladiator. Washington’s response was illuminating.
“At this point in my career, I’m only interested in working with the best. I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make, probably not that many. I want to do things that I haven’t done,” he said. “I played Othello at 22, I’m now going to play it at 70. After that, I’m playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking with Steve McQueen about a film.”
Washington then added: “After that,...

Denzel Washington is jumping into more franchises these days. He would complete his trilogy of Equalizer films, which would feature the first sequels of his career and he will be starring in the upcoming Gladiator II, which is being hyped up as a grand-scale action epic. In his review of the film, our Chris Bumbray said, “Washington, playing a rare villain, seems like he’s having the time of his life as the constantly scheming former slave. Yet, Washington never makes him a cartoon character, with him kind of the other side of the coin compared to Richard Harris’s Marcus Areulius in the first film, with the two sharing a vision for a new Rome, even if the latter’s is more apocalyptic.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Washington casually dropped that he is also planning to join the MCU for Black Panther 3.

Denzel Washington revealed in August that “there are very few films” left for him to make at this stage in his Oscar-winning career, but now he’s revealing that “Black Panther 3” is one of them. Speaking to Australia’s “Today” while on the press tour for “Gladiator II,” Washington said that director Ryan Coogler is writing him a role in the third “Black Panther” film. It will be one of Washington’s final movies along with a new Steve McQueen project and a film adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Othello.”
“For me it’s about the filmmakers. Especially at this point in my career, I am only interested in working with the best,” Washington said. “I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make. It’s probably not that many. I want to do things I haven’t done.”
