Written by Michael Nilon and directed by Benjamin Brewer, this terrifying post-apocalyptic horror thriller premiered at South by Southwest this past March. It stars Nicolas Cage, Jaeden Martell, Maxwell Jenkins and Sadie Soverall.
In a near future where earth has been decimated by an undisclosed catastrophe, Paul (Cage) barely escapes alive from the city alongside his infant twin boys. Years later, Paul and his teenage sons Joseph (Martell) and Thomas (Jenkins) are living in a remote farmhouse miles away from their nearest neighbours at Rose Farm. During the day, the boys and their father work the land and gather provisions, but at night the threesome are under siege from killer creatures that roam the land.
The trio’s quotidian life of humdrum chores and trying to survive each night at a time, is thrown into chaos when Thomas, the more rebellious of the two brothers, fails to return before nightfall one evening.

Stars: Scott Adkins, Waleed Elgadi, Tom Berenger, Meena Rayann, Michael Jai White, Aaron Toney | Written by Jamie Russell | Directed by James Nunn
Not only is One More Shot filmed with the illusion of being one long take like its predecessor 2021’s One Shot, it does something more important. It reunites director James Nunn and writer Jamie Russell with the previous film’s leads, Scott Adkins as Navy Seal Jake Harris and Waleed Elgadi as terrorist Amin Mansur.
Following the events of the first film, Harris is escorting Mansur back to the US where they plan to get him to reveal the whereabouts of a dirty bomb set to explode during the State of the Union Address, which the President, of course, refuses to postpone. For leverage, CIA Agent Marshall has brought Mansur’s pregnant wife Niesha to meet his plane. But they’re not the only ones there to meet the flight.

Matthias Hoene’s 2023 crime thriller Little Bone Lodge can be best described by the phrase that ‘appearances can be deceiving.’ Joely Richardson stars as Mama, the protagonist of the movie, where she’s the protective mother of a teenage girl named Maisy (Sadie Soverall) and the primary caregiver of her disabled husband Pa (Roger Ajogbe). Things were going fine until two brothers, Jack (Neil Linpow) and Matty (Harry Cadby), arrived on a stormy night, seeking immediate help. Soon, everything spins out of control to reveal a dark secret about this wholesome family. Here’s a recap of everything that happens in the 2023 thriller Little Bone Lodge.
Where Does Mama Take Jack?
On a stormy and rainy night, a family of three is celebrating a birthday. The mother and the daughter prepare a cake for the girl’s disabled father, Pa, and they feed it to him. The house is way...

Joely Richardson in Little Bone Lodge Photo: Signature Entertainment
Making its début as part of the Frightfest strand at this year’s Glasgow Film Festival and now available on digital platforms, Little Bone Lodge is a small scale thriller which makes a very big impression. Writer Neil Linpow plays Jack, a criminal on the run with his childlike but unpredictably violent young brother, Matty (Harry Cadby). After their car crashes, the two seek refuge in an isolated farmhouse in the Scottish highlands, waiting for their boss to arrive, but what they don’t know is that the householder (Joely Richardson) has secrets of her own which she will do anything to protect. As Matty forms a tender bond with sheltered teenager Maisy (Sadie Soverall), whose disabled father (Roger Ajogbe) sites helplessly on the sidelines, events conspire to plunge everybody’s carefully made plans into chaos.

"She can be glorious, or filled with wrath..." Signature Ent. in the UK has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror film titled Little Bone Lodge, formerly known as The Last Exit. There's no US date set yet, but it's available on VOD later in May in the UK. Set during a vicious storm, two criminal brothers on the run seek refuge in a desolate farmhouse. Taking the resident family captive, they find the house holds dark secrets of its own. Sounds like another Texas Chain Saw Massacre inspired horror with the overused trope that the random home owners are the evil ones in this story. Little Bone Lodge stars Joely Richardson, Neil Linpow, Sadie Soverall, Harry Cadby, Roger Ajogbe, and Euan Bennet. It looks like another messy mish-mash of horror ideas and finicky characters that won't amount to much. For horror fans only... // Continue Reading ›...

He wants a $20,000,000 ransom paid in 12 hours, or he will kill her like the other passenger.
