- TriviaAccording to Emily Perkins (young Beverly Marsh), the remaining Losers (Jonathan, Brandon, Adam, Seth, Ben, and Marlon) were in Jonathan's trailer, reading the script and the novel. When Emily entered to rehearse with them, they revealed to her that her character, Beverly, has sex with all the boys in the sewers within the novel, which resulted in Emily being embarrassed.
- Goofs(at around 49 mins) During Eddie's flashback scene, when he and the other Losers arrive at his house he tells them, "I wish this summer would never end; it's the best summer of my whole life," just before his mother comes out. His mother then tells him she doesn't want him to take gym in school that week. If it was summer vacation he would not have had school that week, yet the kids are shown in school repeatedly.
- Alternate versionsAccording to the documentary "Pennywise: The Story of It" (2021), there is a deleted scene in which a police officer presents the lifeless, armless body of Georgie to his mother. However, due to broadcast limitations, this scene had to be removed because of its graphic imagery.

Featured review
Repetitive, campy, highly predictable.
Good shots of Pennywise, and great child acting. The bullying scenes were classically Stephen King, as in they're unrealistic. Brandon Crane (Ben Hanscom) and Emily Perkins (Beverly Marsh) were the stars of the first part in the series. Each scene was predictable and clichè which is not an excuse for a film from 1990.
