Not exactly. It is only a drama, in Netflix style, with some scientific pretention, in wich , except the venerable oracle from temple of Siwa, nothing real can be appreciated.
All works like each line of recipe of this sort of docu/drama . The significant facts are presented as small details, the accuracy is ignored, the purpose is to offer something between fairy tale and soap opera.

Only to admire a fictional portrait of Alexander the Great , in a biyarre relation with his closed men, without the normal end about death of Hephaisteon and change of behavior of Alexander, speech from Opis and the tensionated relation with army, his death and the fate of empire, the roots and fruits of Hellenism.
The image of statue of Xerxes is emblematic about this film, reduced at images and fun and vulgar political correctness.
