The Witch is a dark 2015 supernatural thriller from writer and director Robert Eggers. The film takes place in 17th century New England and is the story of an excommunicated family that is banished to a secluded wilderness and are soon torn apart by tragedy. Supernatural events lead them to believe there's a witch among them and suspicion and chaos ensue.
