Three weeks after One Direction singer Liam Payne fell to his death at a Buenos Aires hotel last month, officials in Argentina have charged three individuals in the case.

“Illicit conduct was discovered from which three people were charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics,” the public prosecutor’s office said Thursday.

Payne died on October 16 in the Argentinian metropolis after falling off a balcony from his suite on the Hotel Casa Sur’s third floor. Put before a judge late last week by prosecutor Andrés Esteban Madrea, the charges in the 180-page indictment were made public today.

One of the trio charged Thursday was someone who was close to Payne and perhaps worked for him, officials say. The two other persons were a hotel employee and another individual who provided drugs to the singer.

Rita Ora is mourning the loss of Liam Payne and broke down in tears during a live presentation.

The singer was performing a show in Japan following the news that Payne had died. Ora and the former One Direction bandmate had a duet together for the movie Fifty Shades Freed, which she starred in.

“I can’t even sing this right now,” Ora said during the show about the song “For You” as an image of Payne and her was shown in the background.

Ora was emotional during the performance she couldn’t sing as the music continued playing in the background.

In 2008, 14-year-old Liam Payne auditioned for the British talent series X-Factor. However, he was deemed too young by judge Simon Cowell to continue in the competition.

“I should really be concentrating on my [school] work but I just think about singing too much,” he said before his first audition per the BBC. “It’s a dream and I’d love to do it.”

He made it through his initial audition but was cut by Cowell during the show’s Barbados episode.

Liam Payne, a founding member of the popular British-Irish boy band One Direction, died Wednesday in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after falling off a balcony from the hotel’s third floor. He was 31.

La Nación reports that before the incident, police were called by Hotel Casa Sur staff to report “an aggressive man that could’ve been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

“We were alerted about a person who was in an internal courtyard of Casa Sur Hotel. [First responders] arrived and confirmed the man’s death. We later learned that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death. There was no possibility of resuscitation,” Alberto Crescenti, head of the state emergency medical system, said.

Opposed to El James’s novels, the adaptations have significantly less full-frontal male n-dity. However, prior to the release of Fifty Shades Freed, the final installment in the Dakota Johnson-led trilogy, it was rumored that her costar, Jamie Dornan, was offered $1.5M to bear it all.

Its impressive viewership builds on its first week atop the list, when it debuted to the with 18.5 million views. The series then drew another 19.3 million views in its second week.

Like last week, the fifth installment of “Virgin River” was next on the list in the No. 2 spot with 9.6 million views, and limited thriller series “Who Is Erin Carter?” maintained its third place on the list with 3.8 million views. U.K. comedy “Top Boy” also held onto the No. 4 spot...

Monkey D. Luffy and his crew charmed their way to another 10M views, the same week that the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga was renewed for a second season. The series has now tallied about 48M views since it launched on Netflix just under three weeks ago.

The author of the Fifty Shades franchise Erika Mitchell, better known by her pen name E.L. James, has said that she remains confounded by the success of the books and films.

The British author wrote the erotic romance trilogy “Fifty Shades of Grey,” “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed,” which together sold some 165 million copies, and companion novels “Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian,” “Darker: Fifty Shades Darker as Told by Christian” and “Freed: Fifty Shades Freed as Told by Christian.”

The trilogy was also made into films, which together grossed more than $1 billion, on which Mitchell served as a producer.

Dakota Johnson is setting the record straight about her time on the set of the Fifty Shades of Grey movies which were adapted from E.L. James Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy of books. The first film debuted in 2015 followed by the second film Fifty Shades Darker in 2017, and Fifty Shades Freed in 2018. Johnson, plays Anastasia Steele alongside Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey.

The actress spoke with Vanity Fair and reflected on her time shooting the series and butting heads with James who commanded full creative control that squashed any ideas or input.

“She had a lot of creative control, all day, every day, and she just demanded that certain things happen,” the actress said of the author, who was also one of the film’s producers. “There were parts of the books that just wouldn’t work in a movie, like the inner monologue, which was at times incredibly cheesy.

Johnson, who skyrocketed to fame after starring opposite Jamie Dornan in 2015’s “Fifty Shades of Grey” and its subsequent two sequels, revealed that she “signed up to do a very different version of the film we ended up making.”

“I’m a sexual person, and when I’m interested in something, I want to know so much about it,” Johnson told Vanity Fair. “That’s why I did those big naked movies.”
