Tara Macken who played the heroine, nurse Alex, was attractive and compelling, but I expected better acting. As for character, i expected a lot more strategic and tactical skills. Although she came from a Black Ops unit, she blew several opportunities to kill the enemies, instead stunning them so they could keep coming back to kill her. Absurd script and hollow, amateurish acting at times. The ending was very unsatisfying although the viewers could deduce that it would "right" the wrongs done.

Not a good movie to watch for especially the acting is worst from all characters the movie is like 80's movie with no new plot.
This movie had an interesting plot. Break-in on an elderly woman, only to find the caregiver is a badass.
The movie failed for more reasons than I can count. Poor acting, horrible directing, confusing plot twists, budget action sequences.
Main actress was cute though, so that's where my 1 star comes from.

This film is quite possibly the worst movie that I've ever seen.
Immediately, you can tell that the "acting" is very very very bad. I've seen better acting in elementary school plays.
Then there's the special effects which truly are, in all sense of the word, special.
Slow motion when someone is about to get jacked in the face from a fist. Slow motion, crashing thru a window.
I actually feel dumber now, after finishing the movie. This movie drained my soul.

A score of 3.8 is overly generous. It was clearly given by family members and those who funded this film.
The main character is a deadly, top-echelon special forces agent who has absolutely no tactical skills. If she had even a smidgen, the story would have been over in twenty minutes, including the opening and ending credits.
They called this an action-thriller and a comedy. Comedy is what you tack on when your action film's egregious plot errors can't be fixed in post.
The elements of the production were not terrible. The main actors show some skills, but they were given a mediocre script, pointless editing, and dreadful plot.
My imagining of the plot development team: "The killers are looking for her and she is wounded, right? They see her staggering off on the property. So, later, she taunts them over the intercom letting them know she is still somewhere on the property, and, get this, it shows she is not a victim anymore. " "Good! I like where this is going. A strong female lead." "She is bleeding from a huge leg wound, right? Let's have her take a long bath in her underwear. That's hot, right?" "Bingo! I think I hear Oscar buzz."
By the end of the film, we wanted every character to die. I have had far more enjoyable root canals.
I can write a better film script in an hour with more plot twists, fewer tactical holes, with far greater character development.

So there were a few funny moments (score a star) and some of the acting was self-deprecating enough. But the plot was soooo bad and there were no likable characters. A complete waste of eyeball juice.

Stupid movie. Does she call the police or some friend of hers and then not tell him where she is. And why does she let these idiots push her around so much?
I loved this movie. I enjoy every movie I can find where women get to fight with choreography that makes sense for women to do. If you like a good woman in a good fight, watch this movie. The lead was also in Raize which is arguably the most women's fighting movie ever. Lady Blood Fight I dig chic action movies. I enjoyed "Breaking In" even though I know that wasn't a good movie. This is similar. Very similar now that I think of it. Breaking In has better production value. One review called this elementary school as an insult. I enjoyed the last elementary school produced show I saw. This was very entertaining on a very small budget similar to elementary school shows. Intensive Care has a more coherent plot and better action sequences than many big budget movies.
Maybe I'm weird but I don't expect super deep intellectualism in movies that are an excuse for action. The setups are good enough. I am a guy. The fighter lady is super cool. Yes she's physically attractive, but her character is likable. She takes care of an old woman. That's super sweet. she's retired from some secret agent fight stuff to live a life of nice so I like her. Yeah there are a couple of times where she wears plot armor and a couple of times where the bad guys have plot armor. Better writing to get from action sequence to action sequence would have required changing the action. I like action movies and super hero movies. As much as other reviewers have panned this movie, the writing holes and fight fantasies are much better than Infinity War or End Game which to me are overrated. Nothing beats Cap picking up the hammer and saying avengers assemble so I'm not bagging on stuff I loved. Those movies can't have realistic looking fights for children to see. Just pointing out that this movie gets unfairly critiqued because of it's low budget. If you like a girl with some spunk and fighting, you'll enjoy this movie. If you're a literary critic, you should have your bleep kicked for watching a movie like this. Although the plot is better than a lot of Oscar winners. What was American Hustle about? I loved Whiplash though. I included the references to other films so you have an idea of what I think is good. This was good to me.
You know the Billy Joel song, Just the Way You Are? That's how I feel about this movie. Don't go changing it to try and please me. I don't need clever conversation. I don't want to work that hard. A pretty girl and pretty fights. I'm happy.

Jared Bently offers a solid story that frames Macken's skills perfectly. Although the concept is neither original nor all that thrilling, it is action packed entertaining. At times scene execution does waver, creating moments that weaken an otherwise strong performance. The only real troubles with "Intensive Care" is the lack of room needed to allow Macken's character true depth and development. Then there is times the film confuses itself to whether it is a thriller or comedy, causing some scenes to feel clumsy.
The action sequences are pretty killer. I venture to say that Tara Macken's skills put her up there with Van Damme and Sophia Crawford. The cinematography isn't too original, the standard angles and framing is pretty basic. Not that that is bad. It works and the quality equals any action, or fight flick of this caliber. It was appealing but it is all stuff seen before, time and again.
Overall "Intensive Care" is a decent popcorn movie. There is a strong female lead, plenty of action, and a story that maintains a level of entertainment value from start to finish. I would have liked to have seen a bit more character development but still action fans and anyone wanting to see a strong woman kick some butt will enjoy this movie.

Is there anything worth watching any more, there are TV series more appealing than most movies. I don't want Batman 5, Star Wars 7, Marvel comics without end. I want that moment watching original Alien, Predator and Terminator, you know you're watching something original and exciting. You go further back when thinking of mob, horror and comedy films.Did enjoy 3 Billboards, possibly because it was so different as well as good. Now I start watching something and turn it off to watch the old film it reminded me of, which was far better.
OMG! It's more exciting watching paint dry than this codswallop! Terrible acting all around. The story and script writers must have been tripping on weed or something. Oh and my advice to the little martial arts lady, stick to doing stunts and stunt-doubles!

Impossible to describe how awful this movie is. It has zero redeeming qualities - from hiring an actress who takes a bath with her bra and panties on (no nudity clause) through to the terrible fights scenes, and the insanity of every single missed opportunity - and believe me - there is one every 5 minutes, It really is a movie full of "dumbest thing ever" moments. The script and the numerous "well how the hell are we going to resolve this - we've kinda not through this plot through" attempts to be avant garde - right up to the sheer stupidity of things like pretending to be a CPR dummy only to give yourself away when the bad guy is 20 feet away through to what has to be the worst movie ending since Lake Eden -I don't even know where to begin. Just avoid it...avoid it.... avoid it
Best part is the first 10 minutes. Amazingly. After every thrill/action scene none of which makes any sense, I kept thinking it couldn't get worse and wanting to see how it ends, kept watching. But the end is the most senseless. Except for some supporting characters, I don't know how it ends.

Very bad movie, bad acting, bad directing,no one would ever make dicisions like she do.
I only stuck around for the camp. Worst special ops chic in the world. Dumbest criminals I've ever seen. Worst than your worst Lifetime movie. If you love a good comedy, check it out!

....nothing more to recommend. A horrible script, badly directed and acted. I'm surprised Tara Macken with her extensive stunt work would be a part of this implausible mess.
Intensive Care was surprisingly good, not great, due to a few bad angles and shady acting. But overall, the fight choreography, halfa** script, strong lead actress and bonus during the credits made me want to write a review.

It's a comedy. Tom and Jerry, Ben and Jerry, Chinese Kung Fu comedy. Some strange thinking went into this.
