Sony’s Venom: The Last Dance failed to impress both the audience and critics and received a lackluster response at the box office. Its next project, Kraven the Hunter, similarly might not excel in that area, but it did manage to impress fans with something the MCU could never nail: an epic poster.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s upcoming film’s new poster looks phenomenal, and online fans agree. Previous posters for Marvel films appeared to be mechanical and held no real creativity, thus failing to create the appropriate buzz, but Sony has taken notes. People might have been bashing the film before its release but no one can deny the brilliance of the new poster.

Spider-Man: Far From Home had one of the most shocking endings in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! How did it unfold to lead to other big projects?
As this 2019 movie begins, the MCU is still getting used to “The Blip,” the five-year period between when Thanos “snapped” half the universe into dust in Avengers: Infinity War, and when everyone was restored in Endgame. That means Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his various “blipped classmates” are all still in high school again.
Peter is still mourning Tony Stark as he takes part in a class trip to Europe. Nick Fury then recruits him to aid Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), who claims to be a hero from an alternate Earth fighting massive Elemental creatures who destroyed his Earth’s heroes and are now targeting the McU's Earth.
Peter and Mysterio get along well, and Peter also reveals his identity as Spider-Man to Mj (Zendaya). Eventually,...

Christopher Nolan is assembling the best among the Hollywood actors for his next film after Oppenheimer. The filmmaker’s Oscar glory attracted many mainstream names to his next project, which is a second collaboration between Nolan and Universal Pictures. Charlize Theron is reportedly the latest A-lister to join the film, raising the bar for the new Nolan project.

When the film was first announced, Matt Damon, who starred in a supporting role in Oppenheimer, was one of the first casting decisions to come out. More actors are reportedly being cast in the film, including, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong’o. The salaries of these actors alone make the Nolan film a costly affair.

2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was first to show the potential of the Multiverse in a superhero movie. So, in the wake of Avengers: Endgame's time-travel hijinks, the majority of us were fully on board with Marvel Studios' "Multiverse Saga" plans.
The past few years have been plagued by ups and downs, not to mention the small matters of a global pandemic and Hollywood strikes. For Marvel Studios, it's been a period of great upheaval as the studio that could once do no wrong suddenly faced the wrath of critics and fans.
The Multiverse Saga has evolved drastically, with both Avengers movies no longer close to what they were once meant to be. Along the way, we've seen an apparent Rick and Morty fandom come close to derailing the Saga, some questionable decisions, and a righting of the ship which has still somehow drawn a mixed response.

Samuel L. Jackson As Nick Fury (Photo Credit – Hotstar)
So, Samuel L. Jackson was always meant to be Nick Fury, right? Well, guess what? It’s not as straightforward as you might think. The wild truth behind how Jackson scored the role goes back to the early 2000s when Marvel decided to give their classic Nick Fury a complete makeover. Enter Ultimate Nick Fury, a new, badass version of the character who just so happened to look exactly like Samuel L. Jackson. That wasn’t a coincidence—writer Mark Millar loved Jackson so much that he made the character’s design based on him.
Jackson had no clue he was about to become a comic book icon, but he didn’t wait around once he saw himself in print. He picked up the phone, called his agents, and had them contact Marvel. Marvel said, “Whoops, sorry! But yeah, we’ll...

Saltburn may have made Barry Keoghan a household name but it couldn’t fulfill his colossal career ambition of playing Spider-Man. Even Marvel couldn’t make it come true, but sorry, Barry! but we’re glad that Tom Holland was the one who nabbed the superhero role.

It began with 2008’s “Iron Man,” a film that introduced the world to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark with the hint that he could be part of something greater. Over 30 films later, the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still being told, albeit with various tributaries and detours that introduce new characters and new worlds that may or may not cross paths one day. Each film in the MCU stands on its own to some degree, but like building blocks, they all connect as part of one interconnected universe. And in that way, watching the Marvel movies in order tells one grand story.
There are a couple of different ways to watch the Marvel movies in order, but below we run down how to watch the MCU in chronological and release date order. Indeed, some films like “Captain Marvel” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” are full-on prequels...

Like Mysterio secretly being a bad guy in Spider-Man: Far From Home and "Agnes" clearly meant as a cover for Agatha Harkness in WandaVision, every comic book fan out there knows Lewis Pullman's "Bob" in Thunderbolts* is really The Sentry.
Despite showing the character's logo in the movie's teaser trailer, Marvel Studios continues to identify Pullman's character only as Bob and the actor has flat-out refused to reveal whether he's playing The Sentry in interviews.
Now, the cat is officially out of the bad courtesy of Red Guardian actor David Harbour.

Marvel Studios has gone through a lot of Spider-Man's villains very quickly. Homecoming used The Vulture and Shocker, while Far From Home put Mysterio front and centre alongside "Elementals" clearly based on the likes of Hydro-Man and Molten Man.
Then, in No Way Home, Tom Holland's web-slinger battled Variants of the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Electro, Lizard, and Sandman. Where does this leave Spider-Man 4? Well, if recent rumours are to be believed, Peter Parker will team up with Venom to battle Knull, God of the Symbiotes.
However, Spidey still has plenty of bad guys we'd like to see on screen and this feature singles out six villains we'd rather have showcased in filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton's addition to the popular MCU franchise. We also explore the types of stories which can be told with the characters.

Zendaya recalled meeting her boyfriend Tom Holland for the first time while doing a chemistry read for “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
The actress opened up about her initial encounter with her longtime co-star in an interview with Vanity Fair out Wednesday. The meet-cute story came in response to being asked whether or not it’s “weird” acting opposite him.
“Not really. It’s actually strangely comfortable. It’s like second nature, if anything,” Zendaya explained. “You feel extra safe with the person you’re acting beside.”
She went on to say that she greatly enjoys working with Holland because of the effort and dedication he puts into his craft.
“I love working with him. He’s so talented and so passionate about what he does,” she added. “He always gives things one thousand percent, even if he’s absolutely worn down. I really appreciate that about him. It feels pretty normal. That’s how we met.

Even though she is just 28 years old, Zendaya really has it all. She has a stellar filmography to her name, with her latest venture, Challengers, turning out to be quite the phenomenon. Her role in Euphoria needs no introduction. Not to mention, the two Emmy Awards she has to her name.
While all of them hold a special place in her life, one of the things she really cherishes is her relationship with Tom Holland. The couple have been going strong for quite some time now, and if what Zendaya has revealed about their relationship is anything to go by, they are one of the ‘it couples’ in town.

Zendaya can easily be one of the most sought-after actresses for any filmmaker in today’s time. While some movies capture this to the best of their abilities, others failed to bring out the true acting genius of the actress on screen. One such movie of hers was Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, in which she had a screen time of 7 minutes, in a 155-minute movie.

Earlier this year, we heard that Mysterio was being lined up to make an appearance in What If...? season 3. Considering the complicated nature of Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' deal to share Spider-Man, it didn't seem overly likely.
Well, as you can see below, Mysterio appears in the first trailer for the show's final season and is hooked into an extremely dangerous-looking device.
Spider-Man: Far From Home came along before the Multiverse Saga began, introducing Quentin Beck, a Multiversal warrior whose home had been destroyed by monstrous Elementals. He was later revealed as a fraud and a disgruntled former Stark Industries employee eager to get his hands on the recently deceased Tony Stark's tech.
However, the fact he gave the MCU the designation of Earth-616 raised some eyebrows as did the fact his comic book counterpart once found a way to hope between the main Marvel Universe and the Ultimate Universe.

Captain America: Brave New World is one of the most exciting upcoming MCU movies. It will feature Sam Wilson becoming Captain America in his first solo film and facing off against Thaddeus Ross’ Red Hulk.
One of the key things about the movie’s production is that it had to do a lot of extra reshoots, spending a lot of time and money on them.
Some earlier reports mentioned that the movie didn’t get a good reaction from test audiences. The reasons given were weak action, a boring story, unclear political messages, and poor chemistry between Anthony Mackie and his romantic interest.
Later reports said that the reshoots added $100 million to the movie’s budget, suggesting they were a major part of the production.
After the first trailer was released, fans also felt that the movie seemed more like a Hulk film than a Captain America movie, especially with the villains confirmed to appear.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is among the most exciting upcoming MCU installments. The movie will see Sam Wilson taking over the mantle of Captain America in his first standalone movie and will see him going up against Thaddeus Ross’ Red Hulk.
One of the most notable things regarding the movie’s production is how it spent considerable time and money on additional lengthy reshoots.
According to some past reports, the movie wasn’t received all that well by the test audiences and the reasons were stated to be poor action, boring story, lukewarm political messaging, and bad chemistry between Anthony Mackie’s lead and his romantic interest.
Later reports stated that the reshoots added $100 Million to the movie’s budget, and considering the price tag, it seems that they were indeed extensive.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has carved a unique path in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, marked by remarkable success and puzzling moments. His journey began with a standalone introduction in Captain America: Civil War, leading to a successful solo film, Spider-Man: Homecoming. While Holland’s Spider-Man popularity soared further with MCU’s top-grossing film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, his storyline did not emerge without inconsistencies and unresolved elements.
Peter Gives Edith To A Stranger in Spider-Man: Far From Home
In Spider-Man: Far From Home, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker grapples with Tony Stark’s death and the responsibility of inheriting Stark’s technology, including the powerful Edith system. While the film’s villain, Quentin Beck/Mysterio, manipulates Peter by presenting himself as a mentor figure and convincing him to transfer control of Edith, his decision to...

Superhero films are famously expensive, as most of us know. When you see those massive budgets, it’s easy to assume most of it goes toward the writers, directors, actors, and, especially, the CGI team, given how heavily these films rely on digital effects.
But the cost of some of the costumes might actually surprise you! While some suits are enhanced or even fully created through CGI, others are meticulously designed and crafted by hand—and those can come with a hefty price tag.
A recent example is Tom Holland’s Spider-Man suit from Spider-Man: Far From Home. While it may look like a relatively simple spandex suit, the actual cost is astonishing! In this report, we’ll dive into the details of just how much went into creating this iconic outfit—stick with us to find out!

Superhero films are undoubtedly expensive, as we all know. However, when you look at those figures, you typically assume that the majority of the money goes to the authors, directors, actors, and the computer-generated imagery (CGI) department, particularly the latter, as these films rely more on CGI than anything else these days.
However, the expense of some of the costumes will actually surprise you! Indeed, we are aware that some of the outfits were created or improved with computer-generated imagery, but some were truly planned and constructed by hand, and wow, those may be costly!
The most recent example we have for this is the Spider-Man suit worn by Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Far From Home, which does look amazing, we cannot deny it, but for a relatively simple spandex suit, the cost is – incredible! What was the last thing Tom Holland Googled? Well… his girlfriend Zendaya actually.
The Spider-Man actor, who has been dating the Euphoria star since 2021, recently revealed on Samah Dada’s On The Menu podcast that he will sometimes Google Zendaya to “check” on her.
“The last thing I Googled was actually Zendaya,” Holland admitted while promoting his new non-alcoholic drink brand Bero. “I’m not on [social media], and I delete it when I’m not using it.”
The Crowded Room continued, “So, sometimes, like, it’s more of a bit of an anxiety thing, but I’ll check to see if everything’s good and to make sure we’re all cool. So I just give her a little Google and look [through] the news, and I’m like, ‘She’s good. We’re fine.'”

The story of the movies in the 2010s is basically the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iron Man laid the foundation in 2008, but The Avengers turned the franchise into a proper phenomenon in 2012. From there, Disney rode the wave all the way to the bank. Things climaxed in 2019, with three Marvel movies — Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home — all making over a billion dollars.
That was around the time the streaming wars were really getting underway, so Disney and Marvel Studios set their sights on a new realm to conquer: television. Things got off to a solid start with WandaVision, a surprisingly esoteric show about Wanda Maximoff that took inspiration from, of all things, sitcoms through the ages. Back in 2021, people were enraptured by this show; the buzz was very real.

Born September 1, 1996, Zendaya rose to fame as a child star on the Disney Channel, with fan-favorite characters in “Shake It Up” and “K.C. Undercover.” The singer and actress soon started dabbling in feature films, where she earned the plum role of Mj, Tom Holland‘s love interest, in Marvel’s “Spider-Man” movies. Zendaya’s biggest claim to fame was in 2020, when she became the youngest-ever Emmy winner in the Best Drama Actress category for playing a teen drug addict on “Euphoria.” Her career continues to blossom thanks to recent releases like “Challengers” (directed by Luca Guadagnino) and “Dune” (directed by Denis Villeneuve).

Ever since the first Venom hit theaters six years ago, Marvel fans have been looking out for the anti-hero’s correlations with other sub-franchises or super-characters, especially Spider-Man, as Venom is a preeminent rival of the web-slinger. As the first movie in Sony’s revamped Marvel Universe, the original Venom proved to stand all on its own, with an obvious detachment from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
By the time Venom: Let There Be Carnage was coming close to completion, the Marvel multiverse was in full swing. The sequel ended with Venom transporting to the same universe as the MCU’s Peter Parker and Eddie watching Spider-Man’s identity exposed by J. Jonah Jameson on TV. That was the same cliffhanging breaking news that Spider-Man: Far From Home ended with a few years prior. Let There Be Carnage cleverly played into the convenient proximity its release date had to Spider-Man: No Way Home.

“Venom: The Last Dance” delivered on its pre-release buzz in mainland China with an opening weekend that was the second biggest this year by a Hollywood movie.
The third film in the “Venom” trilogy earned RMB221 million ($31.1 million) in the conventional Friday-Sunday definition of the weekend in China, according to consultancy firm Artisan Gateway. But “Venom: The Last Dance” actually enjoyed an out of synch Wednesday opening and finished Sunday evening with a $45.9 million five-day cumulative.
Local data providers show that the film topped the box office charts on each of the five days it was on release, with Saturday by far the highest. On that day it played some 150,000 screening sessions and collected a fraction over $14 million.
Premium screen provider, Imax reported that the film earned $6 million, or roughly 14% of its China five-day total, on its screens.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when the multiverse becomes part of Spider-Man canon. The Spider-Man film franchise started simply enough, with 2002’s “Spider-Man.” Fast forward 20 years and three different actors have played live-action versions of the Wall Crawler, with the trio joining forces in 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
The most recent Spidey flick wasn’t just a fun family reunion. It also led to Marvel verifying the existence of the multiverse in its live-action productions. As the former Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange says in the film, “The multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little.”
While the establishment of the multiverse has a still yet-to-be-determined impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in the present it can make watching Spider-Man movies in order a little complicated.
Thankfully, there are a myriad of ways to enjoy your friendly neighborhood Spider-Men. Below is a list of the Web...

“Venom: The Last Dance” feasted on $124 million at the international box office, a mighty start that will help to offset the comic book threequel’s sluggish domestic debut.
The third and final entry in Sony’s Marvel spinoff series, led by Tom Hardy as an investigative journalist and alien symbiote, captured a muted $51 million in North America for a global start of $175 million. Internationally, those ticket sales rank as the third largest Hollywood opening of 2024 in like markets, behind Disney’s “Inside Out 2” and “Deadpool & Wolverine.”
“Venom 3” carries a $120 million price tag, not including worldwide promotional efforts. While that’s far leaner than most superhero tentpoles (this year’s “Deadpool & Wolverine” and “Joker: Folie à Deux” each cost $200 million before marketing), the third “Venom” needs to continue resonating with international audiences to justify its production budget. That’s because theater owners get to keep about 50% of revenues.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, actor Tom Holland confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is happening. He didn't say too much about the upcoming film, but did reveal that shooting should begin next summer.
Shortly after his appearance, Sony confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is indeed happening and even announced a release date.
The highly anticipated fourth film in the hit Marvel franchise will release in theaters on July 20, 2026. The movie will be helmed by Shangi-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton, who will reportedly be taking over for the Russo brothers after they moved to the next Avengers movie.
Looking at Marvel's release slate, the new Spider-Man 4 movie will put it in theaters just two months after Avengers: Doomsday. It's a similar release patter to Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was released in theaters shortly after Avengers: Endgame.

In the school yearbook of superhero projects, 2018's "Venom" would definitely have been voted "Least likely to succeed." It was an origin story about a supervillain whose comic book origins are inextricably tied to Spider-Man ... but Spider-Man wasn't even in it, being tied up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Instead, "Venom" was to be part of Sony's own shared superhero universe (which at one point bore the unfortunate acronym "Spumc").
Against all odds, "Venom" was a box office hit. Then the 2021 sequel "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" was also a sizable hit. And although this year's threequel is heading for the lowest opening weekend of the franchise so far, it'll still be the second-biggest opening for a superhero movie of 2024 to date. Per TheWrap, "Venom: The Last Dance" is on track for an estimated $52 million debut at the domestic box office after grossing $22 million on Friday (including previews). That's...

Venom 3 Box Office (North America): Debut Weekend Prediction ( Photo Credit – YouTube )
Venom: The Last Dance finally opened in the theatres and is reportedly trying to beat the industry’s predictions. Venom 3’s Thursday previews are pretty positive. Tom Hardy-led Marvel movie had a budget similar to its predecessor, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The latest release is expected to recover a significant amount of the production budget. Scroll below for the deets.
The early reactions to the film were mostly adverse except for its action sequences. Hence, positive word-of-mouth is necessary for the movie. The 2021 movie was directed by Andy Serkis, while the threequel was helmed by Kelly Marcel. She was associated with the last two movies as a writer, and this is her directorial debut. As per reports, this movie is predicted to have the lowest collection on its debut weekend at the box office in North America.

Certain Marvel properties fall under the Sony banner, which can make things a bit confusing with Spider-Man, especially as there are three iterations of the web-slinger, and only one who regularly appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (for now).
Tom Holland’s Peter Parker has separate feature installments when he doesn’t overlap with the Avengers, and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2021) marked the most overlap of Holland’s Parker with not only the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also the multiverse.
Several other characters who appear in side plots in the comics have received their own center-stage films like the parasite Venom who encounters Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in Sam Raimi’s third film, Madame Web, Morbius and more.

News on new Tom Holland projects is getting to be a little like buses — you wait ages and ages for something to show up and then suddenly you just can't seem to stop 'em. It's certainly proving to be the case right now at least. A week ago, we brought you news that the Spider-Man: No Way Home star had read a Spider-Man 4 script with co-star girlfriend Zendaya; and then, just three days later, we learned that the British actor has landed another gig of a lifetime as the lead in Christopher Nolan's upcoming Universal movie. Now, completing a Spidey news sandwich, today THR are reporting that Sony has set a 24 July, 2026 release date for the hotly anticipated MCU fourquel, which Destin Daniel Cretton is preparing to direct.

The new untitled Spider-Man movie has been added to the release calendar for July 24, 2026, with Tom Holland returning as the webslinger and Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton directing.
No other movies are dated on that weekend. The fourth installment opens in the wake of a Universal event film on July 17, 2026 and prior to Paramount/Spinmaster’s Paw Patrol 3 on July 31.
There had been chatter out there that Holland was circling a new Spider-Man movie. At the time when Justin Kroll first reported on Cretton as director for the fourthquel back in September, Holland and Zendaya’s deals weren’t closed yet, but both A-listers were in touch with execs and producers about the development of the film with new contracts underway. Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige are back as producers.

Spider-Man will be swinging back into theaters on July 24, 2026, Sony announced Friday. Tom Holland returns for the currently untitled Spider-Man 4, which has Destin Daniel Cretton set as director.
Holland last starred as Spider-Man in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, the multi-verse spanning film that generated $1.916 billion at the global box office despite challenges of the coronavirus pandemic. He previously headlined Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and appeared in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Holland is expected to shoot the new Spider-Man next year, which will be a busy one for him. He also will flim Christopher Nolan’s next movie, and may film a role in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday.
No Way Home ended with the world forgetting that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, and in the process, even Peter’s closest friends have forgotten who he is. No Way Home writers Erik Sommers...

“Next summer, we start shooting. Everything’s good to go — we’re nearly there,” Holland said. “Super exciting. I can’t wait!”
During a recent interview on the “Rich Roll Podcast,” Holland revealed that he had read a draft of the script for his fourth “Spider-Man” movie and said “it needs work, but the writers are doing a great job.”

Venom: The Last Dance slithered its way to $8.5 million in Thursday night previews at the domestic box office.
The movie is looking to score the lowest opening of the three film in the franchise, at least domestically. Globally is a different matter. Based on early returns, Last Dance is headed for a worldwide launch of $180 million, which is five percent higher than the worldwide debut of Venom: Let There Be Carnage ($171.6 million) in 2021.
The film has earned $35.8 million worldwide through Thursday, including $8.5 million from Thursday’s U.S./Canada early shows, which started at 2 p.m. at 3,452 locations.
The film opened in China on Wednesday to $9.4 million, making it the biggest opening day for a comic book film since 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. To date, it has amassed $14.7 million from China.
In North America, the first Venom opened to $80.2 million in 2018, then a record for October. It lost the...

Samuel L. Jackson Rose Become the Highest-Grossing Actor of All Time (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Boom! Samuel L. Jackson‘s snatched the highest-grossing actor’s title of all time! With $14.628B from 69 movies, he’s stacking cash like there’s no tomorrow. Most of his blockbuster bucks come from his role as Nick Fury in the MCU. Starting with a sly cameo in Iron Man (2008), he became the ultimate glue that holds the Avengers together. If glue could talk, it’d drop iconic lines like Jackson!
Nick Fury: The Man, The Myth, The Legend
But wait! Let’s not put Jackson in a box labeled “just superhero.” Oh no! This man’s got a filmography that reads like a love letter to cinema. It features classics like Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained. With 45 films grossing over $100M, he blew past legends like Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise. Talk about taking names and kicking ass!

Venom: The Last Dance is hitting theaters soon, but what happened in the last film? Here’s a quick recap!
The Venom franchise began with the aptly-titled Venom in 2018 and is so far the only true live-action success of Sony’s attempts to build up its own “Spider-Verse” movie series based on Spider-Man characters. It’s helped by the fact that it features one of Spidey’s most iconic foes, although the term "foe" is somewhat debatable here.
The original film focused on Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), a disgraced investigative journalist who becomes the host of an alien creature. The monstrous creature gives Eddie unique strength and other skills as this bizarre odd couple ends up stopping another symbiote attack.
The movie was a massive hit and ended with Eddie heading to an interview with imprisoned serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson). That set up the sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
