This being the last movie of Mr Irrfan khan is just a reminder what film industry has lost.
But he has given so much even though departing way early to remember from his movies.
As for the movie this is definitely a worthy sequel to much loved hindi medium.
RIP Irrfan..

In one line,Angrezi Medium is a nice, cute, decent movie which had the potential to be so much more !
It's able to portray the message it wants but somewhere it lacks depth & effectiveness in the way it tries to achieve this goal.
Homi Adajania has a history of giving some drab scenes in the movie he directs, where you,as an audience, lose connection with the film as a whole. He did this in Cocktail and a lot more in Finding Fanny. And he repeats the same here, specially during the first 30-45 mins or so where certain unnecessary humour is somehow forcefully thrown at you which ends up being sort of lame. The entire first half is just about average with only 20-25 mins of genuine emotional screenplay time where you actually get the feels of the father-daughter relationshipship. The second half is still well-directed,the comedy on point and makes you feel for the characters & their lives and certainly brings out the correct tone of the whole thought-process of the movie, enlightening the purity of the special bond that we,as children, share with our parents. The final few minutes are simply gold & will leave you a bit teary-eyed.
But overall, the direction should have been much better. This is where the film fails to soar to new heights,it's not tightly knit-up and does end up being a bit here & there, although the story-writer is also to be blamed here to some extent.
But what really stands out here are the performances ! The terrific trio of Irrfan Khan,Radhika Madan and Deepak Dobriyal are beyond exceptional !
Irrfan returns with a bang, he is just too good in almost every frame, such fantastic dialogue delivery, just Wow ! You really don't get such talented actors too often ! My heart goes out to him !
And he is complimented in the best way possible by Radhika. She has definetly proven a point here with her acting skills, the way she expressed, her accent, her crying, her subtle change in voice tone, she really has stood up to the occasion and given a wonderful performance ! Way to go girl !
And Deepak is hilarious as usual. He is doing what he does best and there is simply no one in the business like him.Such ease in everything he does, super smooth yet worthy of your laughter, he is supremely gifted. Keep it up man !
All these 3 supported by a small yet good cast are the main reasons for watching this movie.Kareena Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia are really good in their respective small roles.Solid performances that really uplift a movie ! And would like to mention the extremely small yet super funny cameo of Pankaj Tripathi.Another great actor !
All in all,the movie is really sweet, enjoyable and does succeed in it's message deliverance but it beats around the bush too much and keeps on losing it's track pretty often. It is definetly packed by outstanding performances by the whole cast and some pretty good comedy but all that definetly isn't enough to hold on to a somewhat meandering script, with a plot which seems too contrived and out of place at times, that too, held together by just above average direction.
It ultimately ends up being just a feel-good,heart-warming, sweet movie with a nice message, along with some genuine laughter moments.
Rating - 3.5/5 (watch it for the brilliant performances)

Let's agree that we missed Irfan Khan and that reason is enough to go for this film.
And the film is good for most parts but the film rides on the shoulders of lead actor and I don't mind that if the movie has great screenplay but this films screenplay is weak and the film turns melodramatic suddenly hence didn't stick to one consistency.
If you love Irfan go for it otherwise watch Netflix and chill😎🤘

Saw this movie, just to see the performance of Irrfan Khan. Would gleefully tell that was thoroughly entertained throughout this movie. Laughed a lot, cried at times and indeed 'Angrezi medium' is such a feel good movie.
Now coming to the performance, Irrfan Khan was soo effortless, suave, cool and portrayed the character with such grace and ease. His dialect and diction to the local slang was so good and couldn't believe that he is acting before a cam. He just lived as the character 'Champak'. Miss this legend, this being his last movie. All the other characters were so good and they portray complete justification to their respective roles.
This movie has so many layers, yet not preachy and completely entertains. Such a light hearted feel good movie and indeed burst out laugh for few scenes.
Would strongly recommend to see this movie and to witness the performance of Irrfan Khan.

Dissapointing screenplay, Frustrating storyline and missed opportunity with great cast like Irrfan and Co. Bunch on emotions shown with no logical explanation.

The film's title doesn't suit the film.
The film is slightly over-dramatic and if toned down, could have been a much more beautiful film.
Irrfan is at his usual best apart from certain scenes where he is beyond Irrfan as well. Deepak is brilliant as usual. Pankaj has a cameo and that was the sad part. But it's Radhika Madan who steals the show more. Oh you beauty, what a performance. I can't believe it's the same girl who took on the role in the movie 'Patakha'. I have fallen for her.
The film's story isn't any sort of an extraordinary journey of characters but the screenplay is definitely a roller coaster ride of emotions. A well made 'Bollywood' film. Let us respect the film and be true to the ratings irrespective of the loss of Irrfan. A movie worth your time.

I watched with very low expectations with the main motivation being Irfan khan and Radhika Madan. They totally delivered but more surprising was the amazingly well written and detailed script as well as the wonderful execution by the director. Nowhere did it feel like melodramatic or heavy but said it all what it wanted to while being entertaining. Good stuff!!
Beautiful spectacle of the extent to which a father will go to fulfil the dream of his child.

Poor script. Plot gets lost in the second half. Good performances by everyone. Some brilliant scenes. But plot becomes unbearable in the second half..
According to acting cast is superbly chosen and they all done a fabulous job....either it's Irfan, radhika, deepak, kiku, Pankaj tripathi, kareena, etc but the film experiences as "TOO LONG" with lots of emotional drama so overall it's a ONE TIME WATCH film

The first half was simple and fun but they added too many things in the second half. Acting is brilliant from the cast.
Though I am giving this review without watching this film but it's 29th April as irrfan left us. So this is my tribute to his work. But irrfan needs no rating. Rip

A Mediocre film by the standards of writing and screenplay that has been miraculously saved by tremendous individual talents and performances! A predictable plot that has huge inconsistencies throughout the storyline. It often takes a backstep when deciding what path should it take. Sometimes it takes the route for comedy but then the main message fades away; other times it focuses all its attention towards the main subject but then it becomes too preachy! Poor Writing and weaker screenplay gonna get blamed for that. On the other hand the performances kept it afloat. Irrfan Khan and Deepak Dobriyal shine the best among them. Radhika really Did a Decent job portraying a Teenager. She has the potential in her. Love her charisma and screen presence since "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota". Would love to see her in more challenging roles though. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Tripathi were also here. Although they didn't get much screen time but also they didn't disappoint. The background score is way ordinary! Music plays a huge part in these kind of movies and aspect surely left a sour taste. Having said that you could absolutely see this film with your whole family because of the Great Cast and their individual qualities as actors. But If I keep aside their roles and the beautiful portrayal of Emotional bond between a Father & Daughter. This film seriously got nothing else to show for!

Oh the pleasure of watching Irrfan Khan perform one last time, in full bloom, in total control, in a natural flow with an essay of emotions that you immediately associate with. Irreplaceable indeed. We have lost a gem in him and I don't see anyone stepping into his shoes, now or in the distant future. Such was his grip over the deliverable that everyone would melt into and associate with his character, executed with mastery, integrity, depth and warmth, always! Sir, you leave behind a void of a different kind among us movie enthusiasts, something that words cannot describe.
"There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself." Champak Bansal (Irrfan Khan) is a single father who painstakingly and affectionately brings up his daughter Tarika (Radhika Madan) in Udaypur. He has humble worldly possessions that include a sweet shop with a disputed but sought after brand name "Ghasitaram". Tarika however dreams big, wants to study in the UK and also become independent, perhaps having been stifled under the parental control. She is so adamant about her aspirations that Champak has to give in and agree to funding her studies in London. He and his friends Gopi (Deepak Dobriyal in a heartwarming role), Gajju (Kiku Sharda) and Bablu (Ranvir Shorey) leave no stone unturned to secure an admission for Tarika in the university and in the process, lose virtually every material possession and money. But Tarika fails to understand her father's sacrifice and is also somewhat embarrassed by his country bumpkin eccentricity.
Angrezi Medium is about highlighting the chasm between the eastern and western cultures without taking sides or being preachy. It is about the delicate and tender relationship between a doting father and a teenage daughter, and its seesaw battle between selfishness and selflessness. Its is about friendly warmth and having each other's back. Above all, it's about family values and the unconditional love of a father for his daughter. At times it does come across as over the top and dramatic, but quickly returns back on track to keep the narrative moving. Radhika Madan is downright impressive in her debut, very expressive and never losing the plot. Watch Angrezi Medium for the sensitive handling of a delicate subject that is easy to associate with.

Well, after Hindi Medium, we all waited for this movie and its finally here! First of all, all the actors wonderfully did their job, the theme of this movie is quite novel. This film depicts the essence bonding in a family. Different shades of relations between a father and a daughter, between brothers, between a mother and a daughter are wonderfully portrayed in this movie, also, the essence of ones own country. Given the length of the movie, we must say that the script writer did the job wonderfully because you wouldn't feel bored at any point of time. However, the story could be better and some characters needed little more light in my opinion.
Direction: 4/5
Acting: 5/5
Background score: 4/5
Story: 2.5/5
Theme: 5/5
Laughter Meter: 6/10

All over the message is good that how parents sacrifice their lives for their children's study and a better life and how their children don't care about their sacrifices but the film could've been better if the actress would have better acting skills and the whole film has a rajasthani accent and it is a good thing that the other regions can develop a habit to understand the other states' languages.

The Film had an Ethical Story. The film was too acceptable and there is no age limit for the film. Tennage Understudies can gain so much from the film.
It depicts a connection between a Dad and Girl. Father effectively Satisfy his Little girl's Desire to Concentrate in London.. Finally the Young lady Comprehends her misstep
It is a Paisa Vasool Film. Folks proceed to watch the film in Film Corridor as opposed to Downloading it from any Pilfered Locales. Try not to copyright film which is illegal. At end I might want to state Appreciate the Film with Companions, Family and friends and family
Awesome acting. Great cast. Extraordinary discoursed and a solid story line which I think isAmazing and dynamite film of 2020 , guardians and youngsters must watch this film, irfaan khan and radhika madan' s acting was astonishing, it shows how our dad penances things for us, with the goal that we can carry on with a superior life never obsolete.
Angrezi Medium what a film. Completely splendid.
For kids it is , To clean out our Angrezi idiology
Also, for guardians it is, To allow their child to develop.

The film has a great cast and a few entertaining moments but no coherent story to tell and neither the conviction in the father-daughter duo's single minded pursuit of studying in a college in London. It seems like there are several individual performances stitched together in the edit to make it into a film. Kareena, Dimple and Pankaj were all casualty of that inconsistency in the story. This was a great casting coup let down by a poor script.
